Originally posted by necredon A bit of good information they shared is "No Quest Hubs." It actually sounds a lot like GW2 in this aspect. Example: You find a random cave filled with zombies. You reach a boss zombie at the end and when you kill him you are rewarded. I don't call TES a themepark or a sandbox. It's a hybrid. Not really one or the other. |

Originally posted by necredon Custom classes were always a possibility. They are not definative classes such as "Only warriors have this ability" or "You must be a mage to use Conjuration." They were guidelines more than anything. You're playing Morrowind, yes? Go get some conjuration spells. How many of them invole summoning pets? A lot of them. Now go play Oblivion and repeat. Now go play Skyrim, repeat. Again, you're playing Morrowind certain quests will reward you with a house. Oblivion is the same deal, but you can also purchase houses. Skyrim is the same as Oblivion. These things are part of TES and have been for years. Your ignorance doesn't change that. |

No pets- Pretty Straight forward. No Pets. No housing- Pretty Straight forward. No houses. Classes- Pretty Straight forward. Not skill based like the rest of TES. Where am I suppose to fill in? |

Originally posted by ShakyMo It doesn't matter who is working on the game. From the info we have, there is nothing that relates TESO and UO other than it being a fantasy game. If it was a Skyrim MMO, most of the people on these forums would be happy. |

Originally posted by jtcgs I don't think any amount of protesting will change the core of the game. It has been in development for too long. As someone stated in another thread, they may add some minor trinkets here or there just to get people excited. |

No action combat, no housing, class based system, and no pets. People keep saying we don't have any info, this is quite a bit of info. Definately enough to be critical of the game. |

Originally posted by Eir_S That's why I don't like generalizations of OWPvP being bad. It's not all ganking lowbies. Sure, some people enjoy doing that but it's not like you're being ganked as a lowbie everytime you play the game. True PvPers like a fair fight. This is the kind of stuff that gets your heart pumping because you're actually risking something by being involved. |

Originally posted by p_c_sousa They could tweak it to where it would work, you can't deny that. Limit the amount of traits to the level you're scaled down to, hell you could limit the bonus gear provides. The only thing stopping them is they don't want to do PvP that way. I'm fine with that as long as WvW stays fresh. |

Originally posted by wrathzilla Balance plays a huge part in this. Have you seen the video where they showed that 3 levels basically doubles your damage? The way GW2 scales would be great for open PvP. |

Originally posted by Istavaan I actually enjoy people attempting to gank me while I'm killing mobs. That way I can kill them both and lol to myself. If Anet can keep WvW fresh by expanding the Mists or creating new maps, I'll be fine. WvW will get old if it's the exact same in a couple years. |

The Elder Scrolls Online: Three-Faction PVP a la DAOC
News & Features Discussion « General Discussion 5/09/12 3:43:36 PM
I don't know why people consider anything with themepark elements a WoW clone. If anything TESO is taking more from DAOC/GW2. I just wish they would have made it more Elder Scrollsy (that word is in the dictionary). |
