barn none best game ever. one of the overlooked things was to be able to dye armor.... and if it failed it went worse and pink :) the customizing in this game made it the only MMIO i played for many many years not bored. PVP took skill, hell you needed jump skills in cases. Anyone remember some of those quests where you had to tap or full jump.... Getting your corpse SUCKED but was done in such a manner people really got into it. We could all go on for days and says but alas nothing will ever top AC1.

Bingo.  I am retailer and deal with it daily, dont listen to the Vista sucks crap. The OS is awesome. And the biggest flop was AC2. Everyone is lookiing for something new, WoW has and will always dominate... Some people want something new, so the game will be a huge success in the begining..... Its a matter of keeping those customers who plan on jumping ship when WAR comes out.

You know I have done the same thing, downloaded a trial or bought a game and tried it for 15 minutes then said, "this game blows"(see my 15 min impression of pirates).  However I have an open mind and I feel that I have to give every game a try, so although in some games it is painful I push myself to give the game at least 1 full week of play time in the first month.  After that I feel that I have a good view of the game and then I usually say the same thing or change my tune and end up playing.

 

First if you didn't look at screenshots to know what you were downloading to begin with you are what I like to call an Rtard.  Second 15 minutes to immerse yourself in one of the last and only True sandbox style games is hardly enough to get a feel for it other then the training area.  Most likely you didn't even get out of the training dungeon.  In 15 minutes you didn't even get to see the role your skills and stats play out on your character, how pumping your jump skill to 300 will allow you to jump onto buildings, how you can't hit that Lugian at all untill your attack skill hits 120.  Or how just looking at the map you can decide, "Hey I want to see what those dots are?"  and you go for a 3 hour run.  Overall 15 minutes was never enough to get a feel for AC, take some advice try it out for a week of play time, unless your someone that needs each quest handed to you with a gold ring, or gold exclamation point.  If that is the case go back to LOTRO or WOW, and play a very limited game.  The rest of us will continue to love a game that was far far ahead of its time, and hope that the devs finally figure out that remaking it would be benificial for the entire MMO community.

ok so 15 minutes was dramatic i played more for like 5 hours . most of which was trying to find the npc the game told me i should go see after geting out of the training. the concept of the game is good dont get me wrong. but so much wrong with the game its not even funny. graphics  and the ui could use a major ove haul. mobs shouldnt be 2 hit wonders  and should be closer together. and be worth more xp. i tryed LOTR's online too much quests involved. WoW is ok quests could be more fullfilling. atleast in wow and eq you dont have to depend on quests to lvl. in lotro you have to do quests or you dont get anywhere. and in this you cant even find the first non tutorial quest without checking out every single hut which is a bit harsh.

 

 

 

 

What do you expect from a game back in 1999. AC1 is one of the greatest MMO's ever and im sorry you cant see that. Why dont you go back to your cookie cut WoW and emo yourself.

I cant get the login / password area to show up to add my subscription. The LOGIN and PASSWORD are there but no place to type in my info? Are they just down atm? I am using IE.

When i goto the login secure page i see no place to enter in my login info? I have tried several times on IE and it shows no place to enter in the info. It has LOGIN and PASSWORD but no space to write in.
