Originally posted by Shannia LoL. At least that would be a reason for my account being banned until 2036, but being banned for non-payment is stupid. And just to top it off, it takes 2-3 weeks to get a reply from customer service if you have a problem with your account. How can they not have people checking email over there at turbine? |

Originally posted by wayubb So pretty much everything I did back then means nothing? The gold I have on the account (if over the max) would be wiped? I've looked at the 3 membership types of LotRO and it seems dumb to play as a free account. Way too many restrictions, I wanted to try it out again and maybe re-subscribe, but I want my account back first. |

So I wanted to try this game out since it went F2P. I already had an account from when I bought the game in 2007 but when I login to the account management on the site it tells me this:
Banned Until
10/27/2036 2:02:26 PM US EST
I already contacted them about it via email from the website but it says to get a reply could take 2-3 weeks. How do you tell a customer it'll take 2-3 weeks to get a reply from support? Oh and just so everyone knows, the reason it says I'm banned is for non-payment. Meaning I let my subscription run out and didn't have money on it to continue playing. I guess I'm really just venting but that is just poor customer service if you ask me. I guess I won't be playing LotRO anytime soon. |

I have 2 invites to send out but the only way to send it is via email. So the first 2 people that PM me with their email, I'll send a key to. |

Originally posted by vectrexevo Exactly why I stayed away from this thread, but it's still alive. Truth is, the game will be better off without these people. They expected an experience resembling the modern-day MMO's that are flooding the genre today. When the game wasn't so easy, they bashed it for the dumbest reasons. I wanna be immature and say QQ to them, but that just fuels these trolls. They really didn't want to learn anything new from an MMO. They wanted to dive-in and be walked through the game. If FFXIV was just another one of those games, it would fail. |

Originally posted by Hakoten I'm pretty sure that I could be wrong about this. But hypothetically, what if CB only had one server? Perhaps the east server was recently added? I just want to say that I am also waiting for the east server to start working but at least I'm waiting patiently. |

lol. The nexon forums are full of people like this guy. Pretty bad community judging by the forums over there. Anyways, yea I'll try it later, maybe later today/tomorrow/thedayaftertomorrow. It doesn't really matter, the game is F2P and this is BETA. |

Originally posted by moosecatlol The pando service runs in the background and is constantly uploading whatever you downloaded by using it. Uninstall it or at least kill the process. |

Originally posted by Raserei I was gonna reply to this thread and say I wasn't having any problems and that these people were crazy. But I uninstalled pando as soon as I noticed what it was doing. Little tip for everyone, try to have a bandwidth monitor running at all times. |

Does anyone have the exact time that it begins? Like if it's at midnight or something so I can open the game and start patching as soon as I'm able to. I really didn't know anything about the game until after I got a key. I have been looking forward to tomorrow for a few days now. So again, does anyone know what time the beta will start tomorrow? Edit: nevermind, after posting this I looked a little harder and found this post http://forum.nexon.net/Vindictus/forums/thread/5676997.aspx just in case anyone else was wondering. |

After playing the FFXIV open beta...

Originally posted by natuxatu You aren't alone among FFXI fans to be disappointed by FFXIV. I personally think that with some time it will be a very fun game to play but as it is right, it feels like a rushed product. FFXIV drove me back to playing FFXI, which I've met people in the game that re-activated their account after trying FFXIV. People really have mixed feelings about FFXIV, but FFXI is such a good game, doing some of the quests just makes the game feel epic to me. |

Originally posted by Artymus77 I think it's still worth it, I'm on the Asura server and every time I check /sea in-game there are over 2k people online. For a game that was released 7 or 8 years ago (and isn't WoW) this game is still alive and kicking. From what I remember, at one point they did have a free trial. But for some reason they put a stop to trials. |

So I'm getting to a point where I need people, but the few friends I have made are on at odd times it seems. I'm on the Asura server, I've tried looking at other forums but a lot of posts are outdated or have high requirements for joining. Anyways, if anyone can help me find a linkshell I'd appreciate it. |

This update: http://www.playonline.com/pcd/verup/ff11us/detail/5835/detail.html So if they are torrent files then where are they? I checked documents/my games/ and the only folder in there is for the FFXIV beta. Which does have torrent files. Are people confusing this thread with FFXIV? |
|
|
Well unfortunately (and I'm pretty sure about this), FFXI does not use torrent files and I wish they did. Instead I found a link from another forum of the patch files and only had to download 6 files after doing that to get in the game. I don't know what the rules are here about posting links, so send me a message if you want the link. |

As of right now I am downloading it and it's going to take over 4 hours, this update is only 135mb. I'm so sick of this playonline patcher, it downloads at such slow speeds. I'm wondering if it's just me? My initial patching process after installing FFXI took 18 hours. This just doesn't seem right at all, does anyone else download this slow with the playonline viewer? |

I joined Asura, made 2 friends at level 1 in San'dora city. Which to me is a pretty good sign, one guy was new just like me and the other guy was leveling a sub job but had only been playing a couple weeks. My in-game name is Doctorr so /befriend me if you join Asura... |

Originally posted by tcosaddict This was as far as I read before replying because I think it's the most interesting thing about Rift. In the game you will collect "souls" and have up to 3 active at any one time, you can trade them out for others at any time. If I understand correctly, the souls are the classes of the game, so the skill tree I'm assuming you are referring to would be this system. For example: Any character could have 3 different classes to be played as, so as far as I understand their will be no limits to what souls you use so something like Ranger/Assassin/Healer could be possible. If that sounds interesting to you like it does to me, you'd be kind of excited about this game as well. I just hope I at least understood that part of the game from the video I watched. I'd say check out some videos and stuff from youtube to find out more information on the game. |
