As for the topic, once again you where spot on. If you don't like the game why the need to doom it? Just don't play it. I completely understand the explanations of "the whole copycat game needs to die", but you know, maybe someone will someday create something compelling in this dying genre we call rollercoaster.

Although I'm not sure why are you all cheering up for sandboxes, they're even more boring if you ask me.

NO they DON'T need to make it F2P. Just because most ppl are cheap as hell and are demanding all for free that doesn't mean that they are right. This game is worth paying for, if you don't agree stop spamming the forums, go play some F2P title and moan about how F2P games are P2W and stop bothering people who actually ENJOY this game.

My main issue with TSW was...everything. Different is cool. Sure. Just don't expect to get a large majority of mmorpg gamers playing because let's face it. Boobs looks better in high fantasy. Fact. (It's a fact cause i said fact. fact.) Ok bye bye.

Yeah, we all got our many lovely gaming years in high fantasy, we grew up on it, some on mmos some on single player games. I do enjoy TSW and will continue to play it, but I also need my fantasy fix, and now that GW is out I even don't have to pay monthly for it. For me those 2 games are in perfect balance :)

Look at me I have an idea how to make another "WoW will kill all" thread so that I can lure the haters in and single them out one by one.

Who cares, if it ends up it ends up, until then I'm paying, if you don't like it, go play Hello Kitty Island Adventure, as that's more age appropriate for you.

You get your character before that, you have to run through Seoul to the hotel that this even takes place in.

Oh, yeah, that's what I get for not spoiling my dragon intro :) I'm saving it for release, but I think my main point is still valid :)

So basicaly rating a game based on what you saw (and didn't read the attached developer's note) is mainstream these days. Everyone's just looking into why NOT to like some new game.

NEWSFLASH: In the first beta devs said that the combat HAS been reworked from what we see, animations have been smoothed out and you are just bunch of illiterate whiny ass spoiled brats.

OP fails on one single point that he didn't notice just yet, it's public beta. It's not polished and it's intentionally that way. If you consider yourself experienced gamer you should know by now no to judge the game by open beta, as those are old builds custom tailored just for open beta, not anything else. I seriously doubt that this game will be so crude at launch, and now that NDA on closed beta is lifted we got some serious reviews not made by gaming journalists hyping or not hyping the game.

I'm not sure what ppl waiting for GW2 are doing playing TSW as those 2 games are complete opposites of each other and have absolutely nothing in common (well appart from the MMORPG tag). They are deliberately made that way in order to cater to different publics and I think those 2 are mutually exclusive, hence the 2 games, not 1 quitting after finding out the other is going to be made. Please don't mix opposites, it just doesn't make ANY sense at all.

tbh I thought it would be mega-server when it was announced, as it would make more sense for the story and all. Therefore yey for non-empty servers :)

And you got those numbers and expert opinion on both those games where exactly? How do you know how much ppl is paying for wow and how much are playing for free? I never saw blizz come out with such numbers, so keep your uneducated troll posts for yourself.

I'm not saying they got it all right or that they didn't reuse some of the things other mmos introduced before them, what I'm saying is this game wasn't build for niche, it's build for general public, same as any other AAA title, which means there's gonna be a lot of things experienced gamers learned to dislike over time, but some of those things proved essential for luring in the "casual" gamer.

It's wrong to call this another WoW clone or to even compare it to WoW, as this game wasn't build for the same public. Just because it's MMO it doesn't mean it's targeted at the general MMO population and that's something we as MMO population have to learn to live with.

And as far as comparisons go every single game I saw here was compaired to WoW, but I don't see people compairing WoW to Anarchy Online for instance, as that game came out before WoW and imho still has better gameplay and mechanics, but it's not WoW, so it's not relevant. I get that, I played wow also, but if I compare a game to WoW it would be only to describe some aspect of the game to someone, not to bash the game. And the thing is I'm not doing that cause "WoW >> all" I'm doing it cause everyone played WoW, so they are more likely to know what I'm talking about.

The thing is the game is not bad at all, it just left to many dissapointed ppl who didn't get the killer feature they thought BioWare is going to put in there just for them. And besides, what would trolls do if they found themselves without any cannon fodder? They have to piss on random things, cause it's their e-peen in question.
