Wait there you pre-ordered/pre-purchased a game knowing there was no release date.. there is still no release date so whats the issue?

Also remember you will hve three character slots you will probally end up rolling 1 of each faction so you want have to play through all the same starter quests.. there is no realy need to roll mutliple themplat characters as your free to do what you want skill wise with every character.

All I can say is I had an awesoem amount of fun testing this over the weekend a lot more fun than I had in the SWTOR beta and a lot roe fun that i have had in the GW2(jesus2) closed beta..

Thats what counts for me so ill be playing and i know thousands of others will be as well. If you dont like it fair enough... we all like different things.

This is looking awesome.. we have needed an updated version of the mechwarrior games for a long time...

The Crysis mod living legends was really good and hopefully this will be even better.

Yeah tis a lobby based game but i got no issues with that, i guess its going to play along similar lines to world of tanks. You start off with smaller mechs and build your way up to the top tier mech..

Not a bad overview :) I must say other than the sat evening for about an hour i never had any server issues. Infact I had the zone i was in go down and i had a message asking if i wanted to move to a different one of log my character out. Thought that was pretty cool.

 

 

Yes! I was unfortunately ill so I missed friday evening (GMT+1 here so evening my time) and only logged in saturday evening in which I had the issues.

Yes but you then loose all your gear and loose stat points in HP/Stam/man until to rest back up... then to top it off your still in exactly the same spot just as a ghost.. ah there is a return to nearest priest but that could get you even more lost LOL.. plus most people are slower in ghost form so not only do you loose all your gear, get stat loss, get lost your also really slow and it can be annoying having the world all grey and wobbly..

This is a perfect example of a good death penalty..

I guess as its not an MMORPG they did not think about having guilds, hopefully like someone mentioned they will add a guild feature into battlenet.

I disagree, I think monthly sub will stay the main payment method for AAA mmorpgs.

I dont want to be playing games where their only source of income is a cash shop as we all know waht that will eventually lead to.

One good thing is that they are taking their time to release the game. I dont enjoy it but im sure others will :)

Dont agree with the OP.

Open world games acn have good graphics and good gameplay.

Check out Mortal Online soem areas are done really well and look amazing using the unreal engine..(Sure this has issues but its mainly down to the small dev team)

I am sure archeage will be another really good looking open world game.

The reason the devs are going for smaller zones and so on is because its easier to control and cheaper to run, they also stick to the same old same old themepark mechanics because they know its gonna make them money.

So yes we can have it all its 2012 its about time with had a modern MMORPG with modern grapihcs and awesome gameplay..

This is why MMORPGs need a death penalty that has meaning... if you die there needs to be somthing really bad that happens to you none of this instant rez back in your home town with all your gear..

Then maybe this stupid crap of killing yourself will stop..

I felt about the same way but I didnt really have an issue with the combat system as it worked well, just thought the animations did need a bit of work but its not the end of the world..

Fully animated voice overs.   They're killer expensive to make.    And every 'kill 10-rats' side quest has them.  

yeah true plus the Star Wars license probally aint cheap :)

I would ahve given it a go if there was a digital download version available in the UK.. sadly there aint and i hardly ever go to the shops LOL
