Sadly mmorpg.com will never change as they allow the same people to spew vile hatred over and over and over and over and over because they have the fortitude to post hate and negative comments in such a way to skirt the bans here.  Instead of saying the game sucks, they will say it is contrary to some mythical gamestyle or some such crap that basically says the game sucks in the Top Hat and Monocle way.

I've played nearly every major mmo released over the past 10 years from Darkfall to SWG and I have never seen a game come close to the problems with cheating etc MO has. 90% of the playerbase have left and a large portion directly because of it.

Every attempt to expose and fix the issue is covered up, posts deleted etc.

Heck only last week Henrik posted a wall of text claiming no GM's are corrupt and that they can detect cheaters. He then quickly locked the thread so people couldn't point out what a ridiculous statement that was. Nearly every week a new hack or exploit is posted on youtube and just ask any vet about the GM's.

By far the worst game for hacking, exploiting, cheating ever.

Glad some people are finally coming out and being honest about this.

I was told by an ex GM this a while ago and it's the reason I unsubbed.

Someone should do this with Mortal Online, include the dodgy GM practices and you'd prob have to break it up into volumes.

OP if broken promises are not your thing I'd suggest maybe another genre other than mmo's. They have a well earned reputation of providing many.

Honestly it seems to me like you are the one with the narrative (hype sucks, you guys are sheep)and is blind to what is actually being said in this thread. I was actually just commenting on the GW2 hype that happened here. If you don't think comparing a video game to the second coming of Christ is a tad bit fanatical (and Im not even religous) then I dont know what to tell you.

Most hype on this site could most definitly be called fanatical. Look at the definition of fanatical..: marked by excessive enthusiasm and often intense uncritical devotion

How many times have we all seen this behavior on these forums? How many games? I don't have to assume anything.

You are way to defensive. That leads me to believe that maybe you have reached that point where your ability to reason and actually have a discussion is questionable. You read my post and took it personally. Did I say anything in that post about CU? Have I ever posted anything about CU other than I would not pay 5k for my own isalnd? No.

You assume that I am not interested in CU or that I am a "hater". You are wrong. I am just cautiously optomistic. I watch the progression of the game, I read the interviews and I take all of the steps that any person who wanted to make an informed opinion about a game would. Right now there is not enough information to make any sort of opinion. Good or bad. Just a bunch of promises and ideas. That is hardly worth getting excited about.

 

You didn't address any of the points I made which displayed quite clearly how your statements were false. My point still stands.

Another reason I'm anticipating this game more than anything... the community. PerfArt is a perfect example of the smart, fun people that the DAOC community used to be. It looks like a lot of old vets will be in CU on launch and that is a huge drawcard.

All I clearly said was there is no information to account for the rating being the highest rating on this site as of this time.  All Mark said is I want a RVR game that doesn't hold people hands with good crafting automatic makes this the most hyped bad doesn't sound right to me by anymeans.  If that sounds good to put it over games which will have a higher budget and PVP as well then like I said before no wonder why this genre has been so bad the past few years.

I clearly stated why what you posted above is untrue and uninformed. If you're not going to bother reading my thread and continue spewing your tired narrative I will return the favour.
