1st mistake: going with a Haswell vs a Ivy Bridge (the Haswell architecture is barely marginally better in terms of processing power and a comparable Ivy Bridge can be got cheaper) .

2nd mistake: that is a mid-range, not a budget, build and that motherboard is atrocious in terms of RAM upgrade capabilities ( I'd have to get a new paired set of 8gb RAMs if I ever want to go for higher than 8 Gb).

3rd mistake: The 660 OC is at best a marginal upgrade on the 750 Ti for example, performance wise, while costing quite a bit more.

The 660 is a lot faster than the 750 ti, it outperforms it in everything except in the pixel rate, plus, it's SLI ready and will have better performances at 720 and 1080p resolution. The 660 is only 20-30€ higher than an 750 ti, even same price as 660 asus.
Or you can go with 270(or maybe the x version) radeon.

You are right about the CPU, so, you can go with i5 3xxx.

The motherboard can be ASUS, but it is quite more expensinve and it offers your need to expand it later: http://www.novatech.co.uk/products/components/motherboards/intelsocket1150/h87chipset/90mb0f10-m0eay0.html

Or some who consider their vehicle a racing car still call it a car because its shorter. Just because the label is shortened to an acronym in our case, doesnt mean it has no particular meaning. None of that changes the meaning of either of these labels or requires us to reconsider the definition. This doesn't really deserve the question or discussion. These labels MMO are entirely pragmatic and selfexplaining for the simple practical purpose of describing, categorizing or generalizing over what type of game you refer to based on some common characteristics or qualities. The fact they might overlap and in some cases refer to the same thing, or ignorant people mislabel things, doesn't mean we can throw all the consensus and objectivity over board and name anything like we want because of "feelings".
They are not objective terms nor self-explanatory. The word "massive" is already relative and subjective. Who decides what is massive and what is not? What constitutes a multiplayer scenario? Is messaging enough? How many and which kind of online elements should a game have to be considered an online game? What if it is only partially online? What if some parts can be accessed offline?   Why this discussion might frustrate someone is because they have many implicit expectations with the term which do not match someone else's implicit expectations. The acronym does a poor job of describing a game/genre explicitly. It is anything but pragmatic or self-explanatory.
They are objective meanings, not subjective. You cannot say that LoL or DotA are MMO because they do not allow a lot of players to be played in one single match, for example, 200 vs 200, which means, that those two games are not MMOs, but rather Action Real Time Strategy or, as Riot says, Multiplayer Online Battle Arena. This leads us to the next point, Counter Strike, CoD or BF are not MMOFPS, hell, they are not even labelled as Online shooters, except for CS, which is an Online Shooter. So, yeah, they are objective and not subjective, anyone who thinks otherwise is a fool.

"Objective" would mean that personal preferences or thoughts don't enter into the discussion of what something means.  "Blue" means a specific range of wavelengths of light.  It's objective and doesn't depend on what I think "blue" means or how I think blue looks.

"MMO", on the other hand, doesn't have an objective definition.  If the definition you are using isn't written down someplace and agreed upon as the definition for the term, then it's not objective.  That's why we get so many people trying to prove that a point is wrong because a game "isn't an MMO", based on a definition that nobody agrees on.

We could say that anyone who looks at an undefined term as objective is a fool and will have many foolish arguments about what the terms mean.

An MMO is an MMO, D3 can't be an MMO; WoW is an MMO, EVE is an MMO, EQ is an MMO, Planetside1/2 MMO;
CS is an Online Shooter, CF is an Online Shooter;
LoL is an MOBA, DotA1/2 ARTS;

The list can go on, but the term will stay absolute for a given game, other can just label that they are MMOs all they want, but the term MMO is definite and it is what it is.
I stand by what I said in my previous post.

@grndzro Are you kidding me? Really, BF4, a MMOFPS? Please tell you're not serious.

People please do not hype, because you might be led into disappointment. Be open minded about a product, look out of the box, don't be closed minded and be constructive about what is good and what is bad.

BE OPEN MINDED, RATIONAL AND CONSTRUCTIVE, NOT OFFENSIVE WHEN THERE ARE VALID POINTS!

Brink?
Battlefield 3 or Bad Company 2?
Blacklight: Retribution?
CoD? I know many will hate, but CoD is quite fast paced.
CS:GO as some others have mentioned?

Its a good thing Blizzard doesnt listen to message boards.

Because people have double standards.

Better get Intel i5-3570k which cost 20$ more and an P8Z77-V motherboard, than the AMD FX-8350; if you only game, I'd go with the i5, but if you do animation, video editing, photoshop, illustrator and other heavy tasks, then you'll need an eight-core.

The GPU is good, but I don't know if it's voltage unlocked.

Overall, I'd go for the i5 if everything you do is gaming, if you do video editing and such other things, i7 would be even better, but it's a lot more expensive.

For ram, this should do fine, unless you plan to get a aircooling, line the Noctua NH-D14.

This one has low profile heatsinks.

EDIT; The parts you chose are good, as Cleffy said, get yourself a DDR3 1600mhz ram and an SSD.

To be honest and realistic, no one really cares why you leave. Those threads are stupid and utterly ridiculous; you either write a thread, that doesn't have the word "Leaving/quiting" and point out what is wrong with the game, or you just leave without letting everyone know what were the reasons you were leaving.
Point being, no one really cares if leave, just make a thread of what makes you think is wrong with the game or just leave the game quietly. End of discussion.

They had the right to ban you for posting something that was already being deleted twice.

Can you tell us your budget, so we can suggest you a card that is up to your budget?

I voted other.

I haven't played MMOs in quite some time, a year or a year and a half. I find nothing interesting in them anymore, not just them, mostly everything, I guess I reached that phase where everything is boring.
However, on the other side of this, I am playing LoL, DotA 2, Starcraft 2, Bad Company 2 and Forge.

Other. The expert in all fields(this is more general than MMO related). He knows everything about politics, economics, science, planets, he knows the univers, the black whole, he's the smartests of all, he knows every game mechanic, he knows every class, he knows every fps, etc, etc, etc.

They just can't fix it without firing their customers.
If that's the case, you just gave me another reason not to bother with their games. If that many people in their customer base are bothered by something as simple as case sensitive passwords, Im pretty sure that Im not to going to agree with them on much else either.
I'll clue you in on something they'll deny for P.R. reasons. If you aren't going to do anything but complain about their products and not buy them they don't give a damn what you think.
And as long as no one I want to buy products from copies them, I don't care. My stance is as much for the companies that haven't yet lost my business as it is for those that have, so they know what not to do if they want to keep it. And if enough people decide they don't feel like buying a product, the company is going to start to notice; while Blizzard doesn't have to worry too much right now, their day will come when such things are going to matter a lot more, and by then the damage will already be done.

Excuse me Sunshadow, but I'd like to know who are these games that you are talking about that have good security system and that playerbase and popularity of Blizzard's games?
You seem quite an expertise, yet you are not offering any solution nor do you offer any solid facts that will reaffirm your statements.

In my entire gaming life, I've only been hacked once, and that was due to visiting a phishy website by my own mistake, never once since then I was being hacked. Not on any single damn game and every MMO I have accounts for.
I do receive e-mails that say my account have been compromised, but it's not true because those are the phishy e-mails that get you into trouble, thus leading into your account being hacked.

Don't raise your expectations or you'll be disappointed. :)
Just a tip.

Blizzard pissed all over it's loyal fanbase when it merged with Activision sometime ago.

Cataclysm was just a cheap expansion aimed at attracting younger players, while somehow trying retaining older veterans. It really missed the mark with retaining veterans, and the end result is mostly people that play WoW but don't really want to get involved too much. Some veterans + new younger gamers. EPIX EVERYWHERE YAY FOR WOW!

Losing a slew of hardcore + addicts cost this game dearly with the lackluster expansion known as Cataclysm. Want a dungeon like BRS, LBRS/UBRS? Want a raid locale like MC, Karazan, Ulduarr? Keep looking, the original devs for these places either quit or are working on Titan, leaving the "B" team to do WoW (since mid WotLK).

You do realise that Activision has nothing to do with Blizzard, but rather with Vivendi? You do know that both Activision and Blizzard are publishers(also their own game developers) that share the revenue for Vivendi? The Activision-Blizzard is just showing off the numbers of the revenue they make in the quartals and has nothing to do with Activision interfering into Blizzard's work right?

For more detailed explanation read this article: http://wow.joystiq.com/2009/04/12/activision-blizzard-is-not-blizzard/

And to your second passage, yes, it's their B team working on WoW now, not their main team, because the main team was transfered to work on the project code named "Titan".

OT; Even tho I have no right to give a criticism for their expansion to the game, but most of the user reviews tend to be very biased, written in anger because of server instabillity which will be fix and some for the hate, but there are other factor I can't even point out, or I don't know them.

However, I did enjoy through all their expansions and I find WotLK to be the best to my liking. Also, mosst of the people who complain about difficulty, don't you think you've learned or mastered the game and that back in that vanilla/tbc WoW time you were still new to the concept of the raiding and such things?

My theory is all the people who actually bought the game are playing it while only childish trolls pop on there and post their horrible scores for something they don't play. Give it a month and the score will more acurately represent the quality of the game. And I don't like or dislike WoW, I've never really played it, this opinion is just based off of watching mulitple metacritic scores at launch.
Actually thats something I never observed. What I observed is a lot of low scores if the game has game-breaking or technical flaws at launch. The last AAA games released in the last two months had green user reviews from the go, even the MMOs.
I suppose it's hard to communicate but I was refering to AAA games that have a lot of hate centered around them.

For example CoD was smashed on metecritic at launch just because so many people seem to hate the series, WoW is the same way in the MMO world to an extent, a lot of haters for no real reason.

I do agree though games with glitches at launch do get panned as well, at least that's what happened to Diablo 3 at launch.

I must agree with Drakes821, not only we can see hate towards AAA games, we can also see this kind of hate for no obvious reason in the movie, music and mobile industry. The fans and haters look really childlish and I barely see a point in what's there to argue, do they feel superior or inferior; or they just want be in the "cool" crowd that hates that one(or more) thing(s) and feel like they are not alone? I really don't see a point for that kind of behaviours, it even leads me to the Thomas Hobbes experiment, where people are put in a state of nature.

Also, as I said in my first passage, most of those critics tend to be very, very biased with closed mind and neglect or just don't want to point out the good things, or just make a two-part review where they can cover the good and bad things about that game.
In the part 1 review they will review the good things and point what they find interesting, innovative, changing or such things, while in their part 2 review what they don't like, what should be changed or improved and etc; just don't be biased and try to write a review with open mind, not closed one, that is the most important thing.

However, judged on those reviews, barely any of them had constructive criticism and those numbers were give just because there are pandas, pet battles and server issues which will be resolved.

EDIT; I'd kindly ask if some of the forum mods can delete my post, because 'twas a mistake. I tried to edit this one and somehow reposted what I wanted to say in this post, so please delete my post below this one.
Thanks in advance! :)

Buuut... Diablo is not an RPG, it's Hack'n'Slash. :-)

For me it would be:
1. Skyrim
2. Fallout 3
3. Dragon Age: Origins
4: Mass Effect
5. Mass Effect 2

So what? How will this patch affect Guild Wars 2? And why do you care so much about these kind of things? There've been countless about such things and I can never get people why are so concerned about something like this? Does it hurt you? No? Then what is the urge to make a thread like this one?

Diablo 3 and Guild Wars 2 are two different games and genres and on top of all that, Diablo 3 is a B2P game, not a P2P to have any direct impact on Guild Wars 2, even if it has, it is none of your concern or something that you should worry about.
Guild Wars 2 will suffer nothing since it's a one-time-buy game, so I don't see why people can't play two games at a time?

Seriously, MMORPG.com is overcrowded with Guild Wars 2 posts. Fanboys and haters most often fight and there are few objective, reasonable and racional posters and that's all about it.

You can try and pre-order the box from your local store if I'm not lying myself, so, I don't think it would be necessary for some of the people to burn the game on a CD, but if you can't do that, then, the people on this forum who are from the UK may help you. :)
