MechWarrior Online: Razer Produces Awesome MWO Peripheral
News & Features Discussion « General Discussion 6/07/12 12:06:47 AM
[mod edit] I've actually been in the beta for Mechwarrior. The reference would be to the standard arena combat. Select a mech and drop in to fight. There is a lot more customization when it comes to the mechs which isn't a bad thing. With an IP like Mechwarrior, they should have done more. Even back in the late 90's with MPBT on Gamestorm and AOL (Yes, the days of dialup gaming) there was more. MPBT actually had the houses involved with each faction trying to establish dominance even tho customization wasn't available.
The new Mechwarrior is a game like many others out there with a different skin. Tribes, World of Tanks, Blacklight, etc. There is no actual substance to the game
Back when Airwarrior and Legends of Kesmai(Islands of Kesmai) were and still are near and dear to me.
Truth be told, I was a child of the 80's.

The deepest combat I've seen in a long time
Beta Reviews & Impressions [ARCHIVED] « The Secret World 5/22/12 9:36:46 PM
I've played it. You are not going to sell anyone on a combat system that is generic and well published in other MMO's. No matter how you portray the character builds there will still be cookie cutters later on. Stop trolling and move along.
The one thing that TSW has going for it is that the quests are actually intriguing. You don't always get a marker on the map to point you in the right direction. There is some investigative work, thinking, or exploring that needs to be done.
Now if only you as a player had some actual quest interaction other than standing there. I always wanted to play a mute. |

When I get in tomorrow I'll be killing in the name of some diety, ruler, or ideal that the race/class sees fit.
I'm pumped to get started tomorrow. |

You have just over 24 hours until GW2 BWE. I can already feel the excitement in the air. Let's hope the stress test last weekend was large enough. |

I'll be there under my forum name. You can count on it. I'm more excited that an 18 year old virgin about to walk into a strip club with 2 grand in singles. |

I seem to recall that the creators said one major thing about the release of Guild Wars 2

Mythos seems to have taken to the idea that your homepage doesn't matter to you. I attemtped to engage in dialogue with the company regarding their lack of respect for our personal settings.
Thank you for using our T3Fun Support Section.
Thank you for using our Q&A section.
So their ability to understand English hinders and communication to get them to understand clearly the issue. I don;t want your effing game launcher to change my homepage. /sigh |

World of WarPlanes: PAX East Hands On Preview
News & Features Discussion « General Discussion 4/15/12 9:04:40 PM
The reality is that as a single game it sucks, like the rest. All this game presents is a grind to get the "best plane with the best gear". There are no real objectives at all. Wargaming.net needs to visit some old school games and realize that there was better before they even created this crap.
Airwarrior...
Not familiar with it? Like I said, old school. Tired of flying your fighter? Get some friends in that bomber on the guns and bomb the hell out of their airstrips. Bombers incoming? Man the flak guns. You actually got to take off and land your planes.
It's sad that games from the late 90's have more to offer than the dribble they create for today's market. |

Name one thing you miss from the "original" MMOs...

Cooperative gameplay. Nonforced PvP. Games without pvp at all. Actual player communities as opposed to mindless grinding for max everything. |

Swtor...what a let down: the epitome of today's mmos
Reviews & Impressions « Star Wars: The Old Republic 2/24/12 7:52:13 PM
You sir, are a god. I could not have said it better myself. The whole challenege of levelling is gone. Exploration is no longer about learning the environment, but about silly unlocks. I pray GW2 does not fall to the whim of sissy gamers that have to get everything in 2 weeks. I want a game I enjoy the whole experience from beginning to end and want to savor it. So if any of you out there plan to play GW2 on release, add me. I am looking to have fun, not rush it. Let's enjoy the journey. |

Rift: Chronicles - Hammerknell
News & Features Discussion « General Discussion 12/29/11 12:18:05 PM
Nope. Not at all. I did just read over the forums and see that warrior DPS is still nerfed, which is sad. I understand they have attempted to make changes to the system in order to improve it. Tanking is fundamentally better than before with increased threat generation. There is more content than before. I don't discredit Trion for attempting to improve the game. There just isn't much there other than the typical gear grind at 50. |

Rift: Chronicles - Hammerknell
News & Features Discussion « General Discussion 12/29/11 11:36:14 AM
Nice Terry Pratchett/Discworld reference there. I was in this game for 8 months, 2 of those in closed beta. By the 5th month I was dead inside. On the 6th month I cancelled my sub, uninstalled, and let the last 2 months rot. |

Most poorly executed launch in mmo history.

Get some sleep. To place that much value on a games release, putting your health at risk, all in the name of desired names in a game that will be there later. You need to get out more. Better do it now before your muscles develop atrophy and you die from heart failure drinking too many energy drinks. |

Launch is at least 8 days away, what are you playing in the meantime?
General Discussion « Star Wars: The Old Republic 12/07/11 2:27:30 PM
I work from home. Gives me the ability to play for extended periods of time. I also take testing very seriously. Whether or not I like the game I still provide as much feedback as possible as well as bug reports. My apologies that I wasn't just a weekend tester.

Nah. Wanted to experience the game a bit. Then I gave my beta access to a friend from work. |
