Actually, it could be worse - it could be an Asian company making Shadow Hearts: Journey to the New World into an MMO. Anyone remember that game? It was for the PS2, by Japanese game makers Nautilus. Their first Shadow Hearts game was based on European folklore/fairy tales; "Journey To The New World" was the laughably bad attempt to do the same with America. Everything on your list - except the cowboy is also a detective, and the Indian heroine is also a blond bombshell from the city. Because that is very American!!
Anyway, F2P games get a lot of abuse (which I know first-hand, as a Community Manager for Dragon Oath.) But I think these people are conveniently glossing over how many bad games are cranked out for PC/consoles by traditional game developers that take your money before you play their game - so in case it's utter crap they still have your money. There's several P2P MMOs that I'm baffled why anyone keeps giving them subscription fees every month... and I feel a certain amount of schadenfreude at seeing so few on the Forbes list.
