would love to see a cross between DAoC and FEZ (fantasy earth zero).
I came back for a coupole days, I didn't feel bad losing all my fights :( thou I did win 1). It's been over 5 years since I played my r6 50 sword 50 criticalstrick shadowblade (red headed step child of daoc). The 20 gold buffs were nice, but I really needed a haste buff, and since i die alot i wasn't gonna bother some one hehe.
was real fun using my madden gloves an turing into a wolf. Seems most people don't bother with toa artifacts. Maybe that why i die so much. I never did the new expansion.
A mail system would of been nice so I could of mailed some potions from my alchemist skald. Only have about 20 plate between the 4 toons an inflation hit daoc hard.
sucks only could copy 4 of the toons so i picked my gm crafters with toa 10's, no master levels :(
The game would go along way to help players with some links to help people with templating toons.
I did see one smite cleric that I played with on alb ector,
The game is still very active, dispite the low population of albion. The old post on vn used to say if alb left the game would die. Glad thats not true.
but a game like daoc for the OP?
I liked FEZ gameplay for territory, but it shut down .
I havent tryed Aika or Pandora Saga yet, even thou they are free.
to many games to DL with limited time to play. (slow pacer)
Hoping Gods and Heroes turns pvp into something nice, hate the fact that most games now release in a beta stage.
Great game, lots of memories. Just scared of getting nastagia if I went back.
Almost every class was fun to play.
The lore was very good, specialy, the midgard lore for me.
how they ruined the game.
toa for me, althou I did have a botted spiritmaster that farmed arties an scrolls for many. It got tiresome, and I lost my edge in relearning how to pvp with the 2nd best caster class in game....... So i imagine alot of people like me forgot how to pvp, cause of having to pve so much.
If there is a doac II can only hope they would make guild cities in PvP zones, since most people really left when shadowbane came out. Well the ones that didn't go to Wow. And take base line stun away from hib :)

Loved this game for many years. Loved the lore of midgard.
so many memories of ML10 spiritmaster with ml10 shaman bot.
so many memories of one shot kills with a 2h kobold shadowblade some of them unboted, but mostly before toa.
have to love the feel of the skald, racing away from 8 man groups as you purge there mezz and disease.
Big troll warrior with shield taken arrows and blocking npc guards as bait while the stealth sneak inside.
getting appeals cause many people didn't know a healer who spec'ed in augmentation had a speed enhancement.
Albion yes 3 archers can hold back 50 plus people
starts getting depressing as try to rvr with a necro.
and I still remember alot of the encounters where I have to say (that was a cheat) main reason for leaving.
but to recommend a class would say skald for midgard, cleric for albion, and enchanter for hibernia.
I would play it...I just wont pay as much as they are asking

I not to familer with console gaming, an only use it for the aspect of 2 player split screen to really enjoy a game with some one next to me.
I been following this DC game an can only wish to play a 2 player split screeen mmo.
I will probably try it for a month, but I'm not going to buy another ps3 just to have a 2player experience with family an friends that come over.
to me my computer represents solitude gaming an my console is for companion gaming.
one major reasons I hate new mmo's on pc they force us to group an pretty much why I havent found a new game since DAOC when they introduct trials of atlantus.
what other games are out there like this game?

Dse seem to be getting back involved with the game again an are going to make a couple changes to stimulate wars.
1. colony caps per planet tiny=2 to huge=6
2. shoot on site.. still not sure on this change but each system can only have 20 friends any others going in system will be connan folder.
3. Updating the agent UI.......agents are fun but confusing atm.
4. The big change which seems to be driving off the older players. Is a War point system...each unit will cost a war point to upkeep, but destroying enemie units will reward alot of warpoints to support your units.
just hoping more players can find this game is fun, but a very big time sink. Mining resources+researching designs+weapons+builden colonies+ and gaining credits(coin).
