Final Fantasy XIV: E3 2012 'Version 2.0' Interview with Naoki Yoshida
News & Features Discussion « General Discussion 6/18/12 7:55:22 PM
So it will be an update (A big one I guess) or they will also relaunch the physical game client? Does anyone know? Because I'm thinking to buy the game right now and I'm guessing that when the day comes, I will have to upgrade the client or download a totally new one? Sorry, I'm pretty confused, I passed my bed time... |

Originally posted by WildSevens No, not running the games from it; my plan is to transfer the files from PC to external hard drive and then to the other PC where I will run the games ( I checked already I can do this with TERA client and GW2 and both playable here) I got to play GW2 beta because a friend burned 4 DVDs xD to copy the client in my PC, just hope for a better option and that is why the external hard drive comes to the idea. Thanks! |

Hi there, In the future I will move out of the country and I can't carry on with me my desktop PC, so I just wanted to buy an external hard drive to store all my data (Pictures, videos, music) and some game's folders, then paste/transfer in a new PC. As well, right now I want my wife to download some game clients I can't get over here (bandwidth issues) and put in this external hard drive to then send to me and copy in my PC, so I'm able to enjoy the games I can't download (TERA, TSW, GW2 etc...) I have been reading many complains about many external hard drives where people don't like the preinstalled software in it, in most of the cases, the customer had to uninstall or format the drive. I would love to avoid this kind of stuff. So guys, I need help to pick the right external hard drive, I use Win 7 and my USB ports are ver 2.0 able to spend right now between $70 and $120 looking in the range of 320GB to 500GB So which are your suggestion and why? Thanks very much! |

Originally posted by Volkon I'm agreed with this^ In my opinion, dyes should work this way, and about drops like they said: "Dyes come from world drops, rewards, crafting, the Mystic Forge, and the Gem Store". |

Originally posted by Irus Do you get suspense while you play? Or even can you get scared at it? If you ever played Silent Hill (The ever first one) then you know what I mean. What about the animation, I heard that is not good still being so close to release date : / Still if the gameplay and plot is good enough and the graphics are decent, I could enjoy it then. |

Originally posted by jmcdermottuk Ohhh thanks very much! So I will do the same, that way I can try the 7 days trial, but to be honest I could end buying both lol, just because they are different and I like both themes so far.
It makes me happy to know I can copy/paste TERA folder :D Thanks! |

TSW 30 GB client? I hope is the full updated client o.O |

I will do my best to get the clients and try it out my copy/paste plan x)
If I don't get in the TSW beta in time, I will assume they will have a kind of trial or demo in the future. |

I could live with updating 3GB or 4GB, but if the updades are too big (over 6GB) will be a problem then. After I decide for the game, I should do that, install and update from other PC and then try to bring to my PC copying the files in an external hard drive. I played the beta of GW2 and I liked the size of the area map of Queensdale; do you guys think or know if TSW areas are that big? |

Originally posted by Wickedjelly Well the thing is I got invited by Funcom and have an aditional key for the beta, but I can't download it due my bandwidth limitation. Thats why I was wondering if I can download the game client from other PC and get it copy/paste in an external hard drive to then, send to me and get it in my PC. |

Hello guys, I'm deciding to buy TERA and/or TSW but still I have couple questions that could lead me to the final decision and one of them is about the client files; 1.- Where I live, the best connection IPS I can have is limited to 6GB monthly, so I was planning to buy the physical disc of the game but, will be that enough? I mean, after installing TERA (Since is the one already out) how big will be to update the physical disc client to the playable version? 2.- I can just get digital downloads of both game and do a copy/paste of the full updated folder to an external hard drive and then bring it to my PC at home? Another question is about TSW: 3.- I like the atmosphere and the style of the game but, the world is instanced or persistent? I haven't able to find a good answer about this. I played AoC and I liked it but what turn me off is worlds that are instanced, you don´t have the feeling of freedom and walking around in an open wide world (WoW as example). Please correct me if I'm wrong. I already pre-purchased GW2 and I like everything I saw and experienced so far, but I want other MMOs too; So what do you suggest? TERA - TSW? Both? xD Thanks for your time and helpful answers! |

For beta I will be using: Test Subject A Test Subject B And so on...
Or just "Beta Dummie" xD
And for the headstart... |

What about Final Fantasy XIV? I heard they are changing the game pretty soon. Between EQ2 and TERA I think this last one call more my attention. Rift I'm not sure yet, anyone that play it?

I totally forgot about EQ2, I will give it a check, TERA sound cool and I was reading about recently, sadly I can't play Vindictus because, correct me if I'm wrong but is region locked right? I live in Venezuela and I don't move to US until last of this year or begining next. Thanks guys, anyone else with more suggestions? |

Hello guys! I'm a person that uses to play 2 or 3 MMOs in my free time which is plenty since I work from home. Most of the time I dedicate more attention or focus on one of them, but lately I ended up just playing LOTRO because I'm done with WoW; It was a good game for a long time (I started playing since launch) but right now changed so much and is not the same for me, I find myself just doing the same stuff over and over and even getting bored. I play sometimes Guild Wars but I don't have friends in there and lately just left to do is some more HoM points and while I'm waiting for GW2 (I already pre-purchased it) was thinking to just buy a new MMO, something fun, different somehow and with fancy graphics, it doesn't matter if is P2P or F2P so far I can enjoy and spend a long time playing it. So, what do you guys suggest? By the way, SWTOR just don't call my attention anymore. What is out there to get and why do you think I should? Thanks and sorry for my english! |
