Hello my name's chase, besides the point though, I've been trying to get Mabinogi to work on my computer and I can finish the first cutscene no problem, but a glitch occured where all I can do after the cut scene is listen to the music and stare at a black screen. I looked deeper into this issue and I found a startling truth about this game...
There is no Tech support. You can submit a ticket, however from what I've seen, none of the other people with this same exact glitch (back in 2008 though) received any replies from GM's or anyone for that matter. There's a technical support forum, however it's player run, meaning if it's something major like a couple hundred people having the same problem, and the creators, (after 2 years) still haven't patched it, there needs to be a better support forum.
For a game to succeed it needs to bend to the needs of the players, the players provide revenue, minor advertising, so on and so forth. I'd like nexon to know that ignoring a major problem with there game and assuming that every problem there game has can be solved by the players is not a good way to keep people coming to the site. What if this glitch (as well as others) is found out among a larger community of game players such as MMORPG? Reputation as a great game will go straight down the hill if your tech support, which is meant to HELP the players, is run by the players themselves, and some of them are begging for help on situations that are above there power.
Anyway, feedback, say whatever, and yes I'm totally bashing the game right now because after 2 weeks of going through every known thing I can, as well as trying the solutions suggested by the 2008 players, nothing has worked cause I've seen a few posts recently in 2010 (2008 when glitch was posted) that state the exact same glitch, and again no help. I'd like to get a higher power (Like MMORPG.com) to influence Nexon to care a little more deeply about there players.
