I'd prefer a real world setting ala EveAge ^^
Anarchy Online - Enforcer
I also try to escape ArcheAge then and when, but i always fall back to my property, my Guild and friends, my virtual life in this totally incredible world.
Im also a legit player, paying Patron monthly and that must be enuff, so im not very happy about the politics around the game.
But nontheless, once online, im inchar and have a real virtual living and breathing world.
Tried to get back to SWTOR but meh, Hero engine made me leave before.
Then i bought a 28.- Starterpack for Star Citizen, thats some welcome change to the virtual life in ArcheAge.
ArcheAge will keep me busy for years, i have great fun in the game and growing slowly but pretty stable ahead.
To me its fun fun fun ^^

but dont pay anymore for "alphas" cmon guys stop support this "model"
Honestly, it was always something speciel to me, to have a step in, before everyone else.
Now that i saw, we dont have a game here yet, i dont regret my 28.-€ as it will give me open doors to whatever will come there.
What i saw is great already, but its really pre alpha, unconnected game segments with the goal to bring them all together in a live mmo universe .... well, would'nt it be Chris Roberts, i would have my doubts, but he is one of the rare people able to realize it.
This (to me) "new" model of WYSIWYG "in-progress" game developing is interesting but i dont expect to have a persistent universe anytime soon, they have tons of work on their plates.
Looking forward to be a Star Citizen at one point :p

I got me a starterpack, it just looks too awesome :p
Just wonder ...
Playing ArcheAge atm and all they want is my money.
Now here, in SC a new 2500.-$ ship is announced.
It has "modules" to play.
I better dont step into this game, except you gimme some reasons.
Can i fully play it with max 20.-€ subscribtion a month ?

It was the 1.0 that was epic fun.
Everyone was totally thrilled, the game was totally burning.
It was the best game experience i ever had in a game in the last 30 years ... ye, im dat old.
Then the 1.2 changes came, very short before beta.
The whole game was ruined.
RNG became the new god, the cash shop is almighty, exploits and bugs made the economy a laught.
They broke my beloved TripleSlash :(
They introduced those 4 new crafting components out of nowhere, made it a demand for certain crafting processes.
The new labour sinks are everywhere, but there is LP pots now.
Its everything creditcard.
Its the story of a potential WoW killer game, ruined by Korean XL-idiots and Trino's inability to make a proper sushi.
Can it be turned around ?
I have my doubts, really ... a westernization could save it, but ..
There is no numbers, but all available servers have queue.
Gazillions of people storming the gates, ofcause that needs time.
Let the games begin already ^^

I think thats the case with 90% of the people who have issues running the game.
Its not a Hackshield problem, its shitty software on the peoples computers problem.
When my 12yo son had my PC once for a weekend when we went out, i had the whole theatre of lousy trashwarez on my PC, by installing Garries Mod, Minecraft mods and the like.
Its not a Hackshield issue, its too often an issue of people are not able to operate a PC ^^
Im using a similar system, but a 560gtx and 8GB Kingston1866.
To make the system run well, i had to make tweaks in bios, adjusting the ram speed and cpu clock.
ok, i'd do this
- undusting as you said is done, also the gfx fan is running.
I have to undust nearly every 3 months and my tower case is open to get rid of the heat, else my pc would overheat, even with watercooling. when the game is running, my cpu gets 60°C without dust, 70°C and more after some months. The gfx temperature is pretty high as well. The 8150 is a nuklear reactor ^^
- checking core installation for issues
you windows is top notch, you use latest drivers, you went regulary thru your installed software list, cheking for hostiles.
A HDD check cannot hurt, maybe your HDD has a scratch ? Exclude it with a check.
Your Antivirus should be ok if you can load the game, play it until it crashes and reboots your pc.
Btw ... how long after you logged in, does the crash appear ?
Try removing one of your memories to get down to 8GB, if it still happens, change the memories and try again to exclude memory errors.
- the game
you set it to dx11 ? You describtion is like the problem i had on dx9, now when it happens with dx11, the engine recovers after a freeze of some seconds. Check your gameoptions - if you can ^^ - for your gfx setup and go for lowest to check if it matters.
I noticed, that the auto-defrag tool is not working in win7, when i manually defragged my HDD's, i noticed 40% fragmentation.
Not that it matters for the game, but it matters for accesstimes, except you have a SSD. I have windows and AA on a SSD.
good luck tho^^

Honestly, WS was the first game ever, that i downloaded for 2 hours and uninstalled after less then a minute of gameplay.
That is, because the game wanted me to go in THAT direction but i wanted to jump over the rim.
I enjoy freedom and barely watch TV.
Its not hate, its just not my game.
The end game in AA is unite your faction and dominate the enemy faction.
Your guild will try to build a castle in Auroria and deal with the siege battles.
But ... in AA the endgame already starts at lvl1.
Whatever is in your head, is the endgame.
Who are you anyways ? ... Make your call an endgame, or your skill, your house, your life in game.
I think your virtual existance is the endgame.
Lets have a great birthday on launch :D
