Whats the most humiliating way you have died in Planetside?
General Discussion « PlanetSide 2 8/09/11 11:05:18 AM
Anytime I would miss a tower drop and land outside of the tower. Eventually that stopped happening, but while learning I would oftentimes land next to the enemy all alone. |

GW2 or SWTOR which one will you definitely BUY?
The Pub at MMORPG.COM « General Discussion 8/02/11 6:56:08 PM
Neither. I've jumped on early MMO purchases before only to be left with a pile of crap. I'll wait until after release and see how player response to the games is. |

The ticket system for NA is so much better then overseas. Hella cheap for us. |

fiontar is right, the game was much better before the drastic NGEesque changes to the game. It used to be a pretty good family MMO, now it just okay. |

Sony Station Access going to $20. Worth it?
The Pub at MMORPG.COM « General Discussion 6/08/11 8:01:35 PM
They are a bunch of dead or dying games, but still a cheap price. |

Looks and sounds great, but hard to believe a console MMO will satisfy PC gamers. Having to deal with console limitations when you are on a PC isn't acceptable. They'll probably do aim assist for console players in an attempt to level the playing field. |

They stopped doing that a long time ago. I can still download games I bought years ago and I never paid an additional fee for that. I've bought many games from them over the years and I can download them whenever I want. |

Why did Hellgate London fail in the first place? And why the Relaunch?
General Discussion « Hellgate 6/01/11 1:00:34 PM
I loved the game, but the subscription model was poor. This isn't an MMO so paying a full MMO price for a co-op game was a turn off. And the Elite vs. Non-Elite, Subscriber vs. Non-Subscriber split up the community so much. So annoying. The buggy launched also sucked. |

Hellgate: Closed Beta Keys Now Available
News Discussion « General Discussion 5/23/11 1:39:18 PM
I care! I can't wait to jump back into Hellgate again! This CBT is just to stress test the servers before open beta. The game isn't in a development cycle, its been out for years. If you didn't get it I wouldn't sweat it. Open beta will be really soon. |

I am sooo happy! I put over 400 hours into the original version. Yes there were crazy players like me who really loved the game. I hope they changed the elite/nonelite and difficulty level split. I know they've changed the who subs vs. non-subs split so that's good. Hellgate was so frustrating because it seemed to do everything it could to keep players away from each other. |

DC Universe Online: Super Servers are on Their Way
News Discussion « General Discussion 5/01/11 4:18:35 PM
This isn't suprising. I never bought the game after beta. I maxxed out 2 characters during beta and though it was a fun game, I saw no reason to pay monthly for it. Very simple and very easy. |

DC Universe Online: Top DC Universe Hero Mentors
News Discussion « General Discussion 11/09/10 6:41:38 PM
Green Lantern as a mentor for sure. Having him as a mentor doesn't dictate your character's powerset at all so it doesn't mess with canon. |

1) You can do duels with other players. There are community PvP events from time to time, but no real structured PvP content. You can also compete in Soccer, Pirate Plunder and Kart Racing if you like. The TCG has tournaments every few hours which are really fun if you like the TCG. 2) The loot system is more focused on style and colors then it is on stats. You can get a full set of upper level gear by running the hardest dungeons a handful of times. After that it is all about collecting colors and different types of clothing. There are not ultra-rare items or an upgrade system really, but there is a treasure wheel that you can spin at the end of a dungeon or mini-game for a chance to win a piece of equipment. Getting a full set of "end-game" gear is a maddeningly time-consuming grind that provides no benefit over the previous tier beyond how it looks. 3) The Pet Trainer job has been removed. Players who already leveled the job were allowed to keep the job at the level they were when the job was removed. Otherwise yes you can level any job and switch to them whenever you want. 4) The cash shop is entirely optional still. There is a ton of stuff to buy, but none of it is necessary to progress in the game. Pretty much all they do these days is add items to the cash shop. I haven't seen a non-event (summer fest, halloween, etc.) update in a very long time. I don't think they are planning on adding any new content to the game. It has been in a holding patter for quite awhile now. Free Realms is a fun game if you are looking for a casual, mini-game focused shared world. It is a good place to goof around in, but don't expect it to replace a real MMO.
I don't regret the time I put in and I have enjoyed spending time with my guildmates in FR. Once you level all your jobs and finish your collectoins you are done though and I did that a long, long time ago. I log in to play the TCG from time to time and occasionally run around the world or do dungeons. I have the lifetime membership. |

Yeah I didn't pre-order. The initial invites sent out were for people who signed up for beta back in the day. Pre-order invites haven't been sent out yet, but I'd imagine they will be sent out soon. |
