EVE has stealth ships, and a reason to PVP. No place is safe (even the so called safe zones) and world PVP is always going on. |

Wurm Online and Ryzom if your wanting PVE, Mortal Online and Darkfall for PVP. They all have trials (Ryzom and Wurm have an infinite trial, just hard caps). |

Does an MMO really require currency?
The Pub at MMORPG.COM « General Discussion 5/06/11 2:36:51 PM
Look at Wakfu's currency system. People have to mint there own currency, there will be none when the servers first go online. |

LFGame section would be more appropriate for this topic. Explain what you want in an MMO too. If your wanting good community, any MMO has that, if you find a nice guild to play with. |

Thinking of coming back, (talk me into it please..)

To those that say you never catch up. Go on the EVE Wiki, pick something you want to specialize at (ship, occupation, etc) and download EVEmon. You can queue up all the skills on it to see how long it takes to raise them. Most likely, the skills you need to fly that ship perfect won't take more than 6 months. You've caught up that easy. |

WoW's been doing 5 mans for awhile. I don't mind it, only if they have large scale raids too. Sometimes it's nice to log in and just get 10 people together for a raid, rather than the 40 or so like the older ones. |

Wurm Online more polished. |

Started today, going to last until the 25th. They say it's still a huge work in progress, and plan to release the other races quarters soon. Dev blog about it is here: http://www.eveonline.com/devblog.asp?a=blog&bid=874 |

Originally posted by deviliscious Players can just make a friend chat of the clans name, and can join and leave at will as was before. The clan system IMO is supposed to be for the dedicated groups. The clans before are still in the game, just as friend chats now. |

Originally posted by Aganazer Anyone else reading this after the post above about him implementing the winnable version? Minecraft is worth it TC, I've spent more time on it than any game the month or so after I got it. I've stopped playing lately, but always check out the updates and such. |

I have to say, I am imperssed with the new clan system. Customizable guild capes, a place to advertise your guild with putting up guild flags, rated guild battles, private forums, meeting hall, etc. Jagex got a good chunk of what RS was needing with a guild system the first update. What's everyones opinions on it so far? http://services.runescape.com/m=news/clan-camp-support-and-web-pages There's the link for those who's interested. And a screen for the fun of it. http://services.jagex.com/m=news/img/screenshots/clans/clans1_trimmed.jpg |

Originally posted by Animei Can't compare Runescape and WoW. Two different games. WoW is more of a themepark, while RS is more of a sandbox. |

Originally posted by Gruug Nice opinion. CCP already stated they want players of EVE to be able to contact in game with Dust troops and incoprorate them somehow, so it's not just making it look like it's implemented. As far as combat in stations is concerned, I don't want FPS in my slow paced MMO. |

I wish I was there before they split the world into two facets. It sounds like a game I'd put my sub money on. I don't have a problem with UO's graphics and such, but after playing a month, I had a full set of LRC gear (so I had to use no reagants), had all my items insured, etc. There's no endgame for UO so taking out items breaking and insurance is just a bad decision IMO. |

What do you think is truly the best MMORPG ever made?
The Pub at MMORPG.COM « General Discussion 3/21/11 10:10:29 AM
Sandbox wise, it'd be EVE for reasons stated above. Themepark, EQ2. It just had everything. Lots of races, classes, areas, housing, good crafting, etc. |

Originally posted by monstermmo Leveling process is better than any other F2P I played, in that you don't run out of quests to complete on the way up. I can see if you compare it to a p2p game, but even they are lacking in quest content at release. |

Suprising, not because of the tattoo's and piercings being free, but they give unlimited times to customize your character. They charged $20 before the new character creator to change your portrait. |
