With Cryptic handling this we at least will know this will be a good game.  There is great possibility for this to be great.

? You can read the official forums without having a registered account. Beta, trials, forums, guildies and other MMO friends, in this day and age any lack of knowledge or being uninformed is something that can only happen if people have been lacking in informing themselves for whatever reason. Which is fine, but being shocked that a game is totally different than what you expected and complaining after not doing some manner of investigating beforehand is like buying products via tv shopping channels and then complain that it isn't what they thought it would be based on the commercials they saw. A bit silly, imo.

The best way to find the truth is to actually try the game and play it for 1-2 months. If I think a game might be good I do that. I dont trust forums. And there was no way we could know everything about the content and possible ways to continue progress at lv50. Or how balanced and fun PvP would be at 50. IMO, you will need to spend the money and play the game to figure that out. And if you are looking for a new good MMO its no problem to spend some money and some time trying to find one. Everyone that is disapponted can of course explain why after trying a new game. But there is no reason to complain about the money, IMO. Its all normal if you like MMO:s and are looking for a new game. Hopefully everyone will eventually find the right game. And it will not be the same game for everyone...Because players have different taste.

@Hurvart Got to say thats probable one of the most intelligent things said on these forums.  I see trolls who never played the game complain about it because thats what they do.  I have seen fanboys defend stuff no matter what.  Just play it and figure it out.  I have played lots of MMO's and I know whats good for me and whats not.

I just tried it last week and had fun playing.  So I bought the Collectors Edition for 50% off.  I know I will play it for a few months.  I like the story line and the Rift Fights.  Although it is sometimes annoying getting past those rifts when doing quests.

yep I got this.  The collectors edition is nice.  I was debating if to get it or not and decided yes I will get it just because of this..

Personally, I have say I am liking RIFT.  I got a 7 day pass and I will be buying Rift because of that. 

Rift is so much better then WoW.  Since Warcraft is just a copy of Warhammer.  WoW never appealed to me much.  The only thing WoW has better then Rift is number of levels.

I have to agree with people hear EVE is the only thing you got right.  Everything else I would put in a different order or not have on the list.  SWG would NEVER be in the top 5.

Game has WAY to many things missing from it.   Chat WAS horrible, it got a little better.  Other then Raids and going in instances with Boss Battles.  There is not to much to do with groups.  Powers and Costumes don't have enough varity.  The biggest problem everyone seems to talk about is.  They want to play there hero but can't because the game is to limited.

Wow what a shock MMORPG can't even get the negatives right.  Which are

1) Not enough costume options when making a character.

2) Not enough power options.

These two alone gives it a FAIL in my mind.  There are 3 things they needed to do right Storyline is the only thing they got right.

Love people that can't stand criticism.  If you have not figured it out yet, I feel sorry for you, the game is beyond hope, the design is just flawed beyond repair.  I don't see this game making it through next year, they don't have the subs and these changes won't bring many back, just too little too late.

This game is in it's death knells.   Just a matter of time before EA pulls the plug.

Not counting the MMORPG haters (bottem of the barrel) because thats all they do is hate.  Champions easily outdoes the other superhero MMO game.  It far surpasses other Triple AAA games.

Anyone think that maybe CO might change to free to play model?  They got an item shop in game now and cryptic is pretty good about doing updates.  Might be a better model for them especially while the game is still really rough...

Maybe lifetime members get all the expansions free??

DC is now not a real MMO (at least to me).  It is now just like Guild Wars which is a wantabe MMO.  Sure its got its good points but its now off my list.  Something to me that is not taken seriously.  Along with being a shooter game pretty much kills the game for me.

No, CO will change.  The game is better then most MMO's.  Its far from pretty rought.
