Yea I watched this live also, very very sad. Thanks to the guys at PC Gamer for doing this.
They said they would archive the stream if anybody still wants to watch it. |

Dalmarus has worked for TTH since 2005, and lists that he is/was the "MAIN SITE WRITER" for TTH. He also lists that he is the "Site Lead" for STO, in which he creates content, manages the community, forums, etc. If you're familiar with TTH at all, you'll know that they create Sub-pages for almost every MMO. Dalmarus's job includes a heck of a lot more than just the STO section. If the game fails, he will have many other jobs at TTH to keep him busy. The conspiracy theory is bunk. In the end, everybody is entitled to their own opinion. Your opinion of the review, or your opinion of TTH, or even Dalmarus's opinion of STO. If you don't agree, fine, since that is your opinion.

Gods and Heroes: Rome Rising: Gods & Heroes Reborn
News Discussion « General Discussion 2/22/10 11:56:05 AM
I was also shocked to see G&H get shelved when Perpetual signed on for STO. I got up to level 30+ in the Alpha. Didn't play as much during the beta, as stability issues and downtimes were much more frequent. The smart thing to do would be to polish the game up, add some kind of PvP and crafting, and sell it to one of the F2P MMO companies. And for it being a "WoW Clone"...really? Never heard that statement before, except for every single post about every game on these forums. Please lets not turn this post into one of those arguments...again. |

Dragon Age: Origins is not a MMO
The Pub at MMORPG.COM « General Discussion 11/05/09 11:36:54 AM
After playing Dragon Age for a couple hours, it truly is an awesome game. My original point was that we have not seen ads for other single player blockbuster games here at MMORPG. Maybe we'll see more soon as there are some big games that have recently released and more to be released soon. Borderlands, GTA4:BoGT, L4D2, MW2, etc etc. In the end, the US dollar will still be green no matter how you get it. |

Dragon Age: Origins is not a MMO

Yes, I'm sure lots of members here are interested in RPGs. However in the five + years I've been visiting this site, I think this is the first non-MMO game advertisement I've seen here. |

I haven't played since beta, so I'm not sure how much has changed. With the settings cranked up, the game didn't look too bad, but it was FAR from smooth. Hell, even on LOW the game was FAR from smooth. Animations just seemed a bit out of whack and city lag was horrible. Also, most of the Male character faces looked a bit too caveman-ish, no matter what. Cosmetics aside, I had fun playing up to Sector 3, most of it solo. |

Many people forget that WoW's launch was far from perfect. There was about a 15 second "lag" whenever you would loot something. Existed in Open Beta, and wasn't fixed until after launch. Amongst all the other issues, WoW turned out ok. |

Star Wars Galaxies: Twelve Servers to Close in October
News Discussion « General Discussion 9/15/09 11:24:00 PM
Love the pic. Good call on saving it, most people don't even think of those things. Sad to hear some galaxies are near their end. I hate to be harsh, but the few people still playing on those extremely under-populated servers will hopefully transfer to the same server. If not, in another six months, we'll see more servers closing. When populated, it actually is a fun game. Put aside the whole CU and NGE. Its still Star Wars, and who wouldn't like to roleplay a storm trooper or a jedi every now and then. Being able to do it with a bunch of other people is a must, as its no fun in an empty canteena. |
