i rememebered the name of this game but i couldnt rememberwhat it looked like or what it was about, i actually wanted to try out this game and i cant remember why i didnt, i think it may have been it lacked the spotlight alot of other games got, and while the game looked interesting, i am sure there was something else i wanted to spend my money on instead, after all its a sports mmo, at the time most of the mmo players were playing fantasy or sci fi mmo games, maybe if it was relaunched, with more publicity,never underestimate the power of marketing, even if its just the free mmo fan sites,.thats where i get all my info,we ahve a lot of choices here,and we rely on reviews and hype to make our desisions easier,ultimatly these types of games get lost in the shuffle, i think the grafics would still hold up 3 years later.

while FE is a fun game, i think it will lack the big  developer shine that CO will have, i have been beta testing FE for a lil while now, and i have really enjoyed it, but i have alays been a caster, powers type person,FE i think is more geared towards FPS people.

 its a great game, and i hope everyone that  goes into open beta enjoys it as much as the closed beta testers have.

i would gladly pay more  for in game items on games i am already paying a monthly sub for, i have bought 30 bucks worth of booster packs for CoX, gladly 10 dollars a  pop for an entire costume set, i dint mind it, great game, but the isue with most people i think, is the general quality of f2p games,hell some of the p2p games arnt doing so well,..LoTR,..i dont care what any of you say, a game that is doing well doesnt have 10 dollar subs,and that game looks great and plays well,theres just a combination of ingrediants that i dont completly understand taht makes a game successfull, and its not just getting over the f2p tag, naturally your going to pay less money to ake a f2p game, and then try to make money on item malls , mulyiple sub types, f2p zones, whatever, a low budget game is like a low busget movie,..you get what you pay for , oh i am going on again, basicly i am saying ,..you cant polish a turd,..and no one wants to pay for a polished turd,..no matter how you package it, eventually everyone gonna figure out its a polished turd. umm i think that the question is a good one, after all this is an article about f2p mmo games not really sucking,so the fact that your quoting another person and pointing out that they are not "grown up" seems silly after all what do we post here after an article telling us that f2p games dont suck,..there are a few that are pretty entertaining, perfect world is a good game,but most try to lure you in with the hopes of a game that is not p2p and then you have to atually pay for the good stuff, or to get the good stuf easier,and if the game is worth it i will pay more for stuff,hell i just dropped 30 bucks this month on CoX and there booster cosume packs,  and if you think about it there are just as many horible horible P2P games out there, but at least when you have a f2p game you dont have to pay to know it sucks, you just dl it and you know right away,so no harm no foul,ummm well i am sure you can glean some wisdom from that or you could think its just a bunch of bull pucks, hehe, but my point was, you shouldnt put people down for asking the exact question that the article is about.

i have been playing this game for about a week, and i am really enjoying it, i havnt played sence the game first came out 4 years ago, its very difficult if you dont get to 50  in at least one of the combat trees before you go to mainland, and unlike alot of newbie aries, ryzoms is lethal,dont even think of running around withought a party or getting to lvl 20  in a combat skill, i had a lot of fun , it took me 2 days to get to lvl 30 in the fighter tree and the magic tree, i should have gotten to 50, but i was lucky to find a little isalnd in the tryker area that was inahbited by nonagresssive 30 ish yubos ,anndd sory for rambling, but i am playing ryzom instead of  warhammer online that i already paid for, lol ,..anyway,..great game try it, hopefully youll like it as much as i do

i am a little woried about on ly getting xp from mission completion,thats one of the things i didnt like about DDO grind is grind, and switching the mob grind to quest grin really doesnt help , as a matter of fact mission grinda can be more tedious,sence the fast missions give you less xp and longer harder misions give you more xp, so you have to group to get the extra xp,soooo when the game you love starts to die, your just SOL,this of course is just a thought and it may not actually hapen with this game, but thats what could hapen if its notdone to ensure that you can solo when no one else is available or you just dont feal like grouping

so actually what you are saying is that you want a f2p game with the quality of a monthly fee game? while i would really like taht to hapen, i dont htink its going to hapen, unlike single player games taht are high quality then released with not alot of patches and content updates,mmo games are constantly being updated so they charge more, and yes they dont have to charge as much,but 15 a month isnt a horible amount of money to spend each month,and it has been shown time and time again, that you dont get the same quality game out of a f2p or item mall game,and dont bother with any example of a f2p game being high quality because youll be wrong

waht we all know as the monthly payment model is ,imho,the only real way to go, every other payment model has been a scam,and  never ever ever give us what they promise, f2p =player pay for mnthly and then get everything cool and the f2p people are left wanting, item malls = its really ahrd to get anything in game,and you have to buy stuff to keep up with the other players,and you pay more than 15 a month just to play,then theres the entopia online thing, you  dont get anything back that you payed into it, so dont think you will, and anything else is just combinations of, variations of, or just the same things with diferant names

well, i tihnk people have forgoten some  things about open beta, open betas are to help the developers with stress testing and final bug finding, and they are usually free, and open to everyone  because they are helping the developers with a polished product,and so we help test ,we get free play,that said, now days the open beta isnt really what they used to be, what we have in open beta isnt a beta at all, rather there finished product,so in this case war is only a 7 day open beta ,so the game had better be done,a good example of hapens if its not fully done at open beta  is vanguard ,poorly done, no polish, disjointed plot, poor poor character models,and i wont bother with the bugs. so i tihnk this is what is being complained about, i fro one have already bought the game, i was hoping for a longer open beta,but this game has been in development a while and i  think they feal it is ready to go live,i hope they are correct,you can fool people that do not know waht to expect in an mmo,but yoy wont be able to fool the veteran mmo player,this looks like it will be a good game,but i have been unpleasantly surprised befire, well i  geuss ill see you guys in game, LOL

wow i thionk they should have picked something more star trecky to put up there, a destroyed planet just isnt what i think of when talking abotu star treck, i say taht ebcause they always show outerspace in the credits, but never have they shown destruction, just awe unspiring images, i hope they dont go a diferan route with this online game

actually it was already being made,..well  actually the way i heard about it was that someone was making fun of another game and said they where gonna wait for hello kitty online,..that was a while ago i think they were just talking about making it at the time,..but i beleive that is where the giot teh idea to mention it in south park

this should have been done the weekend before AoC released,..not the weekend after,lol,i think that alot of people are playing that instead of CoH, if only for this month

the game that this engine was intended for was marvel superheros online,i hardly think that is a diferant type of game, i think this will be great, i have always enjoyed heros open ended character development,i knew someone back in the later 80s who had a character for heroes called "Trojen",..and yes i mean the condoms,..the character shot rubbers out of a device on his wrists, i never played heros with him, but i thought it was a funny idea

P.S. this isnt a pvp game,..unless you consider CoX a PvP game

i on the other hand am not going to play conan, its jsut going to be like every other MMO , boring, i was looking forward to a caster who used its abilities more like a tank

as the curent mmo games have moved more towards zones that are partly or entirely instanced, ..and with games that instance more than one version of giant areas, you really have to ask yourself, is it massive? is it multilplayer? is it online? then that fills the criteria of being an mmo hehe  

 oh i forgot to mention,...we have been asking about hte gmae for some time,i think the fat that it was mentioned again made more people go look at the game to see what it was all about,...its simple reasoning really

this game is like guild wars,...you share the main quest areas, and you go into the dungeons and quests as instances,..its really fun,...that much has already bean said so i dont think i am breaking any rules,..other than that info i can not share nay more info,.. :)
