hello community, Yesterday i tried Neverwinter, and i really had a lot of fun after rolling my Elf devoted Cleric, Gameplay isnt that much interesting until you get at least to lvl 10, and thats where the real fun began, got into the next area with a lot of orcs, that spawn rather quick and even an oger to fight.
Pve is nothing spectacular new, but its fun, i like dodging, and until now, i have to use it, rampaging orcs do a lot of dmg if you stand in the red circles. Dungeon finder works great for me, and i like it.
PVP: now thats where the real fun is! Dmg and HP pool are so balanced that you arent instant dead when attacked, and i like that. Trickster rogues dish out a lot of dmg but i can outrun them most of the time. Winning and loosing pvp gives you quite a lot XP and sometimes even an item. i hope the balance stays that good until lvl cap. then the pvp will be my new mmo home.
have fun ingame, its not the best game out there for sure, but its fun. and a lot of improvements are possible to come...

have fun on your vacation, but if i could go on vacation, i would do so gladly.. and i wont shed a tear for any game in the world...be happy to go with your parents, you wont have them forever... |

1) indeed, story in an mmo was pretty new... but be honest, its no innovation, computer games told stories since the early 70s.... 2) its amazing, for sure, but its no innovation, john williams wrote them a long time ago.. in a galaxy far away..., influenced by richard wagner as he stated himself.. no innovation, its just great, but nothing new... 3)meh cant agree, jedi knight had great graphics for its time.. 4) you said it, star fox, or call it Rebel assault 2,5? nothing new. weve seen this in 1992... sorry no innovation, its good but nothing new there..... valderalv, i did your survey, its quite short, for a master thesis i think you really need to do a lot more of questions to get to a scientific relevant point of view which you want to defend or state in your thesis. by the way, which question will be stated and answered by your thesis? best regard |

wheres your authenticator? and its a rip off because the games not worth the 50 bucks, but loosing your login to some hacker is probably cause your login got keylogged ... someone hacking into blizzard server and gettin your account details is very unlikely

Am I the only one who wants a single player non linear star wars or star trek game?
General Gaming « General Discussion 9/12/12 3:45:32 AM
OMG a DALEK Exterminate!!!! well i love your Avatar, but back to topic, id say Star trek had some nice titles too, i loved Judgement rites and 25th anniversary back then, a final unity was good as well in its time, svga graphics back in the mid 90s, then came starfleet academy, check the internet for reviews and youtube for videos, that game had the voices and actors in it. SWG was great but Jedi knight was a way better game , but i was no mmo... id like a new good Star trek and star wars game, but i dont see any good studio around that could take the franchise and make it. bioware just made a moneymilk game... but its not the skywalker era... TOR 1 and 2 were great, even with that strange implemantation of dungeons and dragons ruleset. Originally posted by Rednecksith

nah Swtor is where it belongs , cause every game has the subscribers it deserves, its ok but nothing groundbraking, if you want more, you have to deliver more... thats it simply! |

We all have been waiting for it, we played the beta and we loved it, that game got hyped and no one that played video games for the last 10 years with an internet connection could have avoided that hype, now its near a month since release and i want to share my thoughts with you about that game and what happened to me as a gamer who plays since the early 80s... It starts good, fresh, everything runs smoothly, i couldnt wait to see the areas past the skeleton king, i wondered which new skills i would get and what new nice areas i will get to explore. I rolled a wizard, as i played the mage and the sorceress in previous games and i just love that class. After 2 days of afterwork gaming ( approx 6-8 hours ingame time) i reached act 4 and faced diablo with 3 friends. After killing diablo and opening nightmare difficulty i took a deep breath and reviewed the past hours of gaming. And for some reasons i was disappointed at some design decisions blizzard made . It is obvious that the areas are not random generated, they are just 4 or 5 templates and only mobs and things like chests are random. So everytime i enter a dungeon, i know perfectly in which direction i have to go. poor decision blizzard... All areas except act 4 were seen in previous games. I found act 1 to be ok, cathedral and sourroundings giving some information about what happened before in form of scrolls and dialogue. That was ok. but going to the desert again in act2 like in Diablo2 ? really? was that necessary? And still worse, act 3? again Arreat and that Barbarians? with ballistas shooting? ive seen this, i ve done this.. i dont want this. I wanted something new. a new area, a sea coast maybe, an urban area maybe, a big citiy to fight in or god , anything else.. but not the same i saw a 1000 times in diablo 2.... After killing Diablo in normal mode i went on and really rushed through the content, i got some items with bonus xp and not long after i killed diablo and his minions 2 more times and i sat down to enter inferno mode. That was just 2 day before blizzard stated only 2 percent of the community entered inferno. I guessed, well, can only be because other ppl have to work more in their jobs then i do, because game was almost to easy. Not inferno, inferno is/was bugged, never tested by blizzard themselves (stated by bashiok) with a lot of exploit possibilities. What happened so far, after 20 hours of gaming i was in Inferno, had to farm the same spots for better loot, auction house prices went up ridicoulusly and every sensation or motivation i had with this game was gone. And here i am now, being act 4 inferno, and i dont want to log in to D3 because there is nothing more to see. I am very dissapointed and i will hesitate to buy anything related to Diablo 3... PRO: Gameplay itself is smooth and fun A lot of skills and possible combinations CONTRA Dungeons arent random, just some templates not enough areas to explore Inferno neither tested nor balanced real money auction house postponed PVP not ingame, no balancing possible in that state of the game no unique items, only a handfull set items. nowhere near what Diablo2 had lvl cap of 60 too fast achieved (Diablo2 had 99 lvls and that took you a lot of time...)
Closing comment and final score: The game itself isnt that bad but it fails to live up to the hype. Most things a Diablo veteran would expect arent ingame and some design changes toward a more MMO style of gameplay dont fit together. A game like diablo shouldnt have an auction house, instead it should rely more on loot itself and not on buying upgrades in the AH, i see it was a design decision to bring the real money AH into play where blizzard could get its share. But its against the game itself somehow. At the moment blizzard is reacting to several problems they did not see in the beta like item duping, inferno balancing, and nerfing farmspots. Give Diablo 3 another half year to patch it and it will be maybe a better game then, as it is now id give it: 6 of 10 points because its too short for a full price game

Mass Effect 3 - Why do so many hate the ending? ****SPOILERS****
General Gaming « General Discussion 3/16/12 5:30:13 AM
I have to replay ME1 since i want to know if the VI on Ilos doesnt state that the Reaper destroy every organic lifeform, not only the advanced ones, the protheon in Me3 states that he knew asari and turian when they were just evolving, funny, but he never saw the citadel itself and said he was born in a time the reaper already attacked, doesnt sound any logic to me.. going on sightseein on younger races while defending from the reaper attacks?? come on, to many plotholes and unlogic statements.
until me3 i thought the reaper would destroy any organic life they find... and that organic life just evolves from scratch every time.. so by the time the reaper whiped out the prothean empire, we humans wouldnt even exist.
like a dalek im confused, why no logic, explain!! or just exterminate... |

I hate the end because it did not deliver what bioware promised, that i would see an endingthat reflects my choices. ihave 3 complete playthrough chars from ME1 and ME2 with a full renegade, full paragon , and a bad one with some lost companions. the ending is the same if i played full paragon or full renegade, it does not change anything at all, what matters ist the galactic readiness score, so basically, just buy ME3 and forget the first 2 games, because you can have the same ending,
ending cinematic is a slap to the face i dont know what happens with my teammates or civilisations, all ME portals destroyed? i thought that would build up supernovas.. (ME2 reference) with all races stranded around a near destroyed earth.. ok yeah , leads to extinction anyway? what did i save? nothing..
daddy why do i hate the end of me3? "because its shit my son" .... |

after 20 hours of gameplay i defeated the world eater, skeletron and eye of chtuluhu, playing with a friend this game kicks ass, i love it very much, saw some harpies when i build a stairway to heaven :-.) little gravity there, zombies jump like 6x their height, i love this game, got the meteor armor set with the space gun, fantastic.
so my review: try it for 10 bucks you cant go wrong , and get a friend to play it too, together its more then double the fun.
Best regards kras |

Hello dear community,
i recently bought Terraria on Steam and played yesterday evening a little bit, i have to admit its pretty nice, reminds me of minecraft with more combat involved. Did anyone play that game maybe? As a starter i am pretty overwhelmed by the sheer amount of possibilites in that game, it has a multiplayer feature, kinda like it.
whats your opinion on that one? best regards Kras |
