It amazes me people on this site do not know what pay to win means. 
Lol you're kidding right? I mean they should of removed that post it was nothing more than a troll post.

What would he know of pvp? I thought he was tired of the  alleged bots pvp in wildstar.....

I will give two examples of skills that are being ´taken away´...

Lets suppose you are fighting a goblin, and then a skeleton.

With your 6-8 keys, those two mobs are exactly the same (assuming same level).  They both run up to you and whack you with swords.

Now lets add a skill  ´ turn undead´. 

This spell can be used to fear the skeleton for 4 seconds, but not the goblin.

Now these two mobs are completely different in how you fight them.

Now lets add a rock elemental that punches you in the face as it´s main attack.

And now lets add ´disarm´   another skill that is getting taken away when we reduce the game to 8 keys.

That skeleton attacks you, you can turn it ( fear it for 4 seconds)  and then you can disarm it, which reduces the damage it can do to you.

That goblin runs at you, you can disarm it

That rock elemental runs at you, those two skills are useless

Just in that brief example,  You now have 3 mobs which would be exactly the same in your game, but would be completely different if players had those two extra abilities to use.  Yes, there will ALWAYS be players who even if you gave them disarm and turn undead would still cast fireballx8 in the face.  But in a good game, those type of players should always perform worse than players who use all their skills effectively.  If I turn that skeleton and then disarm him, maybe I escape the encountered uninjured, where if you cast fireballx8  you finish at 75% health.

By removing skills, you turn every player in Fireballx8  and you turn that skeleton, goblin and rock elemental into ´mob lvl 12´

 

I will use WOW as an example, even though it has a lot of action bars, they still have dumbed it down

When fighting mobs while leveling, there are two mobs..  have ranged,   does not have ranged.   That is it... everything else is just the graphic used to represent the mob.  You may fight a ranged mob differently than a melee only mob.

As far as your skills.   1-90  I can level any character easily by only using 3 skills.  Nothing about the mob at all changes what keys I press.   I run up to the mob, any mob, and press  123332     mob is dead.   Nothing about the mob, nor nothing the mob does changes what abilities I use and in what order I use them.

that is dumbed down gameplay compared to what I talked about before.

An excellent post. Couldn't of said it better myself. Classic EQ right there with disarm. Fear undead or hell even invis vs undead or other many spells and /disciplines.

If there is illegal system in place that people can obtain things, again thats loss to the company itself for allowing such system be in place and there is a significant risk players have to take to go through such system.

NCSoft doesn't just cut out the middle person, they just prefer to be that person on top of asking its customers for box fee, monthly fee and expansion fee. The fact is more expensive just proves that there is more $ to be made by NCSoft (in their opinion), but again clearly the system they have going here clearly does not work with me since now not only I will never spend a dime for WildStar but I would never waste my time and participate in it even if it was free to play.

I guess by this statement you never plan on playing any online game ever again then? There will always be a 2ndary market weither it is offered by the game company itself or a 3rd party. Again Pay to win is not this. Pay to win is an advantage made by the company that clearly gives you a superior advantage over another player and is made by the same company that is running the game and that advantage is only gained through spending real life currency.

Oh trust me I would surely play online games since not "ALWAYS" 2ndary markets existed. That market depends on a lot of factors, like the way the game is designed, how secure the game is and what kind of measures it takes to protect its product. There have been online games in the past that have done far superior job in this to the point that 99.5% of the playerbase would not even be aware that such market exist or even dare to engage in.

WildStar's design and the directions NCsoft choose with this C.R.E.D.D system COMBINED is what makes the game a P2W dominated experience. 

Umm, sorry to say this but since when has there not been a 2ndary market in any online game dating all the way back to UO or in anything for that matter..... I'm no economics expert, but supply and demand has always existed. I do agree with you on companies needing to protect their products, but people spending their money in the way they want to is not  a right you get to decide for them. Nor me telling you how you should play or enjoy your games.

But back to the matter at hand. Does this option they avail to you give you a clear and superior advantage over another? Do you kill your opponents easier? Is the only means obtainning this item through the company itself? Or does the item a cosmetic greatly increase their skills? Probably not. Or is the item they are offering to you is in game land? Probably not. 

I haven't played wild-star but looking at the other posts it doesnt look like this C.R.E.D.D system is a pay to win service. sorry to say

When you get those gold farming spams you pay and you win to gain a certain amount of currency......

or lets say your just lazy and you don't wanna level....

you pay a powerlevel company to level you up to the cap?

Me personally I don't feel that any of these fall under the pay to win.

Sure you gain an advantage of not having to accumulating gold, levels, or items by using these services but, I don't consider it a pay to win advantage.

To me pay to win would be something that the company offers you to gain an incredible amount of power to your avatar or character making it virtually impossible to defeat in a pvp environment.

Just my humble opinion that is. 

No the industry is saturated with mmorpgs 

No Instanced Dungeons 

 

Encounters where there is no limit to the amount of people that are there.

Game has been soloable since day 1 all the way to the cap if you need answers on how to play the classes perhaps you should  go to youtube and type how to play (class) in wow and there might be helpful tips on how you can increase your survivablility cause you should be really able to take any class with no problem all the way to the top on your own

I played this game for 20 mins and quit. Hacks and bugs plus just a cheap halo. I cant believe people even play it.  Well that is  me.

Well thats a different reason for not playing. I myself never played it

When i leave a game, i just leave. I dont try to get my 15 seconds of fame. Just leave is the mature thing to do. People already know why the game sucks lol. Unless its a major issue there isnt need for everyone that leaves the game because they hate it to post a message ;) Otherwise you are just looking for attention, and by reposting it a second time kind of proves that.

Pretty much right there don't like the game don't resub pretty much simple as that don't need to go to an official form and give your rant there. We are all mature adults. People who say they are just giving their opinion about a game and aren't trolling are just kidding themselves. When you unsub from a game it asks you why you are leaving survey right there and then where you can type up your post and it can be read through the right connections instead of some forum sob story that will just entice people into an opinonated flame war.

Keep in mind that innovative is not the same as inventing. Inventing means creating something new where as innovative means doing something new from something that already exists. So with that I think GW 2 deserved that because:

  1. Dynamic Events is arguably doing WARs Public Quest and rifts in Rift in a new way.
  2. Weapon swapping in combat was also done in a new sort of way.
  3. The World vs World mechanic is yet another innovative way of doing RvR
  4. Finally these vista mechanic is also pretty innovative.
  5. Lack of trinity system. Again games like AC 1 did it long time ago but GW 2 did it in a new way.
Now does all these translate into a great MMORPG? No, I dont think so because neither of these brought longetivity in the game and quickly became repetetive. However I cannot deny that GW 2 was pretty innovative, for a ThemePark that is.
 
I do think TERA deserves an honorable mention in the way it does combat and BAMs and the Vanarch system but since the game is pretty boring overall I think alot of people overlook the things it did innovate on.

 The only thing I can think that this game did as far as innovative was make it so that killing enemies everyone has their own loot and exp and the same with harvesting nodes. So no more fighting over nodes and creatures. However, that hurts the social aspect of a MMO cause you no longer really need to group for anything just run around and bash and hit everything.

You can do it like this using your order but in your own way,

1. Wait till new MMO game comes out.

2. Wait till speed levelers get to end game in 1 week or less.

3. Go to online website to see stats of desent looking gear.

4. Go to Youtube to watch end boss fights or cgi.

5. Save yourself a lot  of time and money and don't bother subbing or buying the game

6. Thank yourself for not getting another MMO that will only last 2 weeks.

(7) edit Pray to MMO Gods that they will make a decent MMO

8. Repeat
