All the bad things you've heard about this game are probably true and will continue to be so for the foreseable future.

Honestly, it was a lot of fun to play, but I'm not sure there's an actual "game" since the content wasn't lacking: It was non-existent.

The real downer is how slow they move to fix and improve the game, it took 2 months to get autostacking and you were lucky if it didn't eat half of your items in the process! It emptied my bank and afaik that support ticket is still opened but I haven't heard back in my email since I left the next day :)

Stay away! Go play Diablo II for all I care, don't throw your money away on this.

Assassin has good weapon enhancements for quite cheap, too.

Or Bard for some heals for your pet-party :)

I noticed someone mentioned the "big patch they have coming up", yea they keep promising that said patch has everything including peanut butter and strawberry jam.

I was slated early this week, but it's not going to happen this week at all. It might come early next week, but the day before launch day they'll probably tear down the old server and switch to the live ones, so we'll have to be very very quick about testing it :)

There was a discussion thread in the beta forums that was deleted earlier tonight.

There was a discussion about how an upcoming and unfinished MMO would charge the same monthly fee as every other game out there (standard in mmo is 15USD)

Well, thread vanished, someone didn't like to hear their beta testers tell them their game wasn't worth that much, at least now yet.

You could build anything in empire if you wanted to, the only difference is the resources from planets in empire space are much lower than in nullsec... Just like everything else right :)

Hm graphics upgrade, 3 years too late. This might have infused life back into the game if it had come out shortly after the LE "PvP" expansion, however it appears the development team felt the game needed more PvE content although it already had more than many MMO's could hope to have :)

Ah well, loved AO for 6 years and will always remember it with fond nostalgia!
