Lately I have decided to stop - at least try to stop - playing mmorpgs altogeather due to the sheer amount of investment they require, and I have been missing out on other experiences such from other games that aren't mmos. However due to the investment I have put into MMOs such as WoW and Rift, its very hard to for me to leave and I have also became addicited to the genre so it was all that I played for 2 - 3 years. 

However now I am finnaly going to kick the bucket as it were, at least for a while and start playing some other games that aren't MMOs, though this is difficult as I said because I am farily hooked on this genre.

Does anyone else feel the same way, that is the amount of investment mmos require kinda  make yous stop playing other genres and games, are you also addicted to this genre and find it diffult to play other genres?

My understanding is they scrapped the whole thing a little while ago because it was just the same old stuff everyone else has done and they are starting over...there is little to see or talk about atm.

I understand you may feel there is a point to your post, however in my opinion it has come off as a troll post in disguise.

I have to ask: why would you not just try this quickly before posting on the forums and waiting for an answer?  Just try crafting something once without pulling mats out of your bank.  If it works, you have your answer in a matter of seconds. 

I wasn't on Guild Wars 2 at the time, and it was on my mind. I am sure you will quickly forget about this and move on, I doubt I have used up a sufficient amount of forum space by posting this topic. Though, if there is some amount of inconvenience I have caused you, I do apologise.

I just started playing yesterday and I am on the EU Auroa Glade Server  and  so far everybody has been so helpful, teaching me about the game and grouping with me showing me different things. I love how people come and revive you and if you revive them they are always courteous about it and say Thank you, I have recieved items for free from people to help get me started and its just amazing. Its so nice and refreshing being in a game where the community is as friendly and helpful as they are and it really makes all the difference.

Probably a large part of it is because its less competitive than other MMOs, your not fighting for quests, loot and mobs and its as if your in one big group and I think that goes a long way (longer then we think) to help encourage the community to be as  friendly as they are  and I just love it.

Really happy to be here and I just thought I would do my part and post on the forums and promote the game and thank everybody for being as nice as you have been, so thank you, I am very happy !

Each zone leads to several other zones. In each zone you will have  'hearts' (local quests) to do and most can be completed in more than way. Some ways are very benign  - go collect scraps for the war effort and some are very martial - go kill for revenge. Hearts can be done 1 time per character

In addition to the hearts there are are Dynamic Events (DEs). These trigger by some other event/course of action (frequently talking to an NPC with an orange globe looking thing over his/her head will start one that often leads to another and so on). DEs can be p repeated as often as they pop.

This is the process - New zone, new hearts. Do DE's. Once you hit the level 70 - 80 Orrian zones there are no more hearts. Just vast open wastelands of undead. The storyline is 'your' personal story quest which you can do or you can skill. Some of the storylines are pretty good, some are more bland.

Then you have sPvP and WvW PvP. As the OP was talking PvE, that is another story for another day.

What is there to troll with in this post? Hes just wondering what hes missing, why does everyone with a low post count have to be a troll? We all had to start somewhere.

I get 60fps in Guild Wars 2, but it still feels no where near as responsive, and it certainly has it moments of juddering and stuttering and just moving the camera feels awkward. 

I think we are getting ahead of our selves and just comparing to one game, I think this goes for a lot of games, sure you can have the smooth framerate - at times - but you still do get dips.

And lets be honest here, (Going back to GW2 rather contradictory)  it doesn't matter if your on lowest settings or highest settings your still gonna get the same performance which is 60fps with dips. Believe me, I have seen this on many machines and detailed on many websites, their engine is just not as optimized as it could be or they have programmed it in such a way that it is not as flexible as other engines.

Going back to other games I gave a few exmaples, I have experienced this and yes this is subjective and this is the reason WHY I BELIEVE, and I also believe I am not the only one to have these opinions. On this forum we are but a small minorty, and dealing with people on the outside world have all said the same thing. 

Do you think maybe you responded to quickly without stopping to think about what it is I'm saying? Your post stamp is evident of this I believe.

What I am saying is you can have a great looking MMO without having huge system requirements, WoW has proved this. 

It plays incrediblely smoothly, from running and jumping to moving the camera around. Theres no judder, no stutter no dips its just pure butter and it looks incredible. (In my opinion, but to be honest I dont think anyone could say WoW is an ugly game by any strech) 

Every other MMO iv played with, wether its GW2, DCUO, AoE, TSW they all have these moments of sluggishness and stuttering and if these guys can't get their engines together and make an experience that mimics WoWs, I don't think theres gonna much hope. 

I understand that specs are a huge part of things, but thats what makes WoW so great, it looks good and isn't demanding. Making a demanding MMO is extremely counter-inutuitve, the term massive springs to mind here. If you want massive sales, massive revenue your gonna have to accomdate for masses amount of people and don't set out trying to make one mmo look far more superior to the other. 

This is the reason I can't enjoy GW2 as much as I want to, it just doesnt' have the smoothness and responsivness as WoW. 

No matter what happens, I always seem to get a full inventory even after depositing collectables. Do you guys have any tips on being organized in this game?

No heres what you do. You have guild wars 2 where theres no such thing as kill stealing. You make vanguard size dungeons, huge, massive and extremely detailed. You go through it and theres tonnes more people in there with you, Now im sure theres 1001 ways to think of how youbcould reward players for loot, im just to lazy and its to early  for me to think. (and its sunday)

But trust me guys, this is what you do, i know im right because i said so : )
