To quote:

Yeah, they were cheating. But the exploit was fixed earlier this week and thats why the phenomena stopped. Btw, I'm not speculating, because I studied their blog shots and figured out what they're doing. Since its fixed, I'll go ahead and discuss it.

This player set up three chars, Khieng, Jyire and Proh, grouped them and parked them in front of a specific quest NPC, and then proceeded to go in a circle redeeming the quest reward and then having other group members, who still had the quest in their log, *re-share* the quest with them. Apparently the quest required an item of some sort as condition for completion that wasn't being removed from inventory ( I'm not certain because I've never done this quest ). Read the chat log and you can see whats going on.

It appears that in this shot, as he's hitting level 15, that he had completed the same quest 166 times, since he has 83 silver on it. You'd think that Khieng would have been banned by now, but I guess Sigil isn't concerned about whats on the leaderboard.

here's Proh's shot.

Somehow I doubt there are even 1331 quests *in* Vanguard, so Sigil is going to have to probably wipe these quest completed stats or these exploiters are going to top the leaderboard forevar, hehe.

Have a look at Stemcell and the other most-quest-completed character blogs.

http://vgplayers.station.sony.com/blog.vm?entryId=6286218

They are standing in front of the *same* quest NPC. When I first noticed this, I calculated that Stemcell would have had to have solved this quest once every 6 minutes on average since the game went live noon on Jan 26th to rake in 1331 completed quests. Obviously he's set up a macro to do this.

All the other anonymous players are the top of the list were just ambushed by the automatic screenshots when vgplayers rolled out and are just trying to hide their blogs.

You should just ask for a european release. I believe 10T studios handles that stuff in europe.

p.s. its ok to want to play the game but it would be unjust to cause problems for every one on the server just so you and a few others can play.

With a standard server client setup. Only your client would have issues. Other people will still be fine but would  see you 'jumping' around as you move. Looks like a blinking effect, you're here then your there as you move from one area to the next. But most games gave a prediction system that fixes that so it makes everyones movement smooth.

With your statement of one person lagging will cause everyone to lag is really only seen in a peer to peer gaming enviroment, which isnt used in modern era mmos.
If that did happen in a client server setup you would just need one person to have a cruddy dial up connection in the native area to lag out the whole server.
But as I said earler it should not happen.

As for the OP, find a decent Proxy Server.

I have this weird feeling that you guys will keep giving these out till EVERYONE that visits MMORPG.COM has one.
Way to break the NDA without breaking the NDA.

:p
Looks interesting and the family concept is quite unique.

Heya,

This is the bug reports forum for the mmorpg site.

You want Voyage Century Forums -> http://www.mmorpg.com/discussion2.cfm/forum/807
http://newsite.mmorpg.com/gamelist.cfm/setView/videos/gameID/239/videoId/1052

Running Firefox, when this page is loaded on the right hand of the screen ALL user data is shown.
EDIT - Checked with IE; It wont show it but if you look under Page Source all the same info is contained.
This includes admin level info such as User Security Info. (This has all info and the password unencrypted)

This needs to be fixed ASAP!

This paid 'I came back and it's better" ad brought to you by SOE. That's the new marketing theme.

And your post reminds me of

"This paid 'I have no life and continuously troll the forums of a game which I dont play but hate' ad is brought to you by [insert name of a competitor or banned gold farmer].

Seriously, speak to your parents, they might be able to help you with your problems, Amathe.

People have a right to trash a bad game when they see one.

VG is one.

So anyway...get lost.

Dang dude... if you have such a problem with vanguard why do you act like such an ass to everyone in the vanguard forum.
You don't see be bust in the Lineage II forums bashing everyone there because they happen to like a game I do not.

Lastly your other post sounded like something Jack Thompson would write.
Not sure, my download was got fubared so I need to redownload that client.
Gonna check this out...

Just to let ya know, Monster Hunter Frontier is up for download.

Indeed.  It is also important to note that you would have only been exposed if using the Internet Explorer web browser.  Firefox, Mozilla, Netscape and Opera users would be safe since the browsers do not allow ActiveX controls.

Oh thank goodness.
This is why I use Firefox + Noscript... helps in these events. :D
