Not sure if MH will have an open beta.  I believe I saw a post that said they weren't sure if they were going to do one.

The first 2500 founders program buyers will get in CB and if they didn't they should contact support.

MMORPG had a key handout and you missed it. You can try Twitter/Facebook/Google+ for when they hand out keys.

Same here and I got hacked yesterday for the first time ever. I run spybot, avast, malwerebytes, use firefox, no script addon, ect...somehow I got hacked.

I logged in yesterday and noticed my gold was gone and my items cleaned out from my backpack. The weird thing was they left about 150 linen cloth on my toon, didn't strip it of armor, and never touched my bank. Anyway....I put in a ticket and logged off to change the password. Then I ran all 3 of my security programs and checked for windows updates. The PC came up clean. A Trion GM got in touch with me about 3 hours later to handle my ticket. Gave me the option of restoring my account to the day before or take the cash I had on my guy before the hack. Choosing restore would have meant I would lost all xp and lvls up to the restore point they had. I chose the cash cause I put a lvl on while waiting. The CS response was on par or better then any other game IMHO.

It's weird how most people have short term memories and remember that release with rose colored glasses. People forget the LONG ques, servers going down, 3 classes who's talents changed or were thrown in a week before release, bugs, ect.

I know it is a laptop. The OP sounded like he wasn't sure which way he wanted to go. At the time of my post he had a hardline budget...kinda why I posted that laptop cause it was within the OPs price range. Just hope the OP gets a nice rig that gives him hours of gaming pleasure.

Yup. My left tumb controls the d-pad. I've used  the N series for MMOs since my AO days.  I haven't tried the N52te yet. I have two I got on sale sitting in thier boxes in case my N52 ever craps out.

As a side not the gaming industry in the US went down with 11.6 % in 2009. The 11.5 million active subscribers were confirmed by a stock rated company, which simply means: rock solid proof - dollar wise.

 

First off that's the NET revenue for Activision-Blizzard not WoW, secondly that's for one Quarter which happens to be the best quarter of the year for any retail company in sales, thirdly the Blizzard counts inactive accounts that are up to 6 months old in china (costs 25cents to play once and can set up account for free) and free trials as subscribers.

Mostly WOW is about 35% income for the complete group of all games, but this quarter the group had luck with the COD MW2 hit (1 billion dollars) and unlucky with the guitar hero franchise.

The previous MMO quarters in 2009 can also be found on the financial reports. They were about the same order of 300 million dollars on a quartley basis for WOW.

But I am tired of looking it up for someone who simply negates these reports.

I read the report you pulled that little quote from and he's talking there to stockholders about shares and the profits and revenues they make from them. GAAP EPS = income divided by the number of shares, he's not giving any figures as to how much money the games bring in from sales but talking about Activision-Blizzard share revenues.

I did Business and Finance at College so maybe that makes it a little easier for me to understand what's being said in these reports. I'm not being nasty or hating on WoW/Blizzard or you just I like to see the facts. Alot of people post stuff that is plain wrong or just don't understand and it does annoy me. WoW doesn't pull in $1.4 billion dollars and isn't even their top title, as for how Blizzard counts subscribers well that's their business however they are the biggest game subscriber wise,

The trailer was supposed to be released at some big korean game thing going on over there. It was smart of them to release it early cause of the thanksgiving holiday here in the US.

If anyone is lucky enough to make it through some levels in the game, here is what the play is like, so Ive been told by MANY sources. You have to quest to get to level 15, and 15 is when you can begin PvP. Unfortunately, they do not organize the PvP with equal levels. So your level 15 and a level 40 comes along and literally smashes your face. Oh, now thats what I call fun....(sarcasm)

After level 25 there are no quests left and it becomes a grind fest. Even more fun.

Yes lag is terrible in the abyss during sieges but they are working to fix it.

As for the PvP in the abyss well considering many people are already 35+ in the game already yeah there will be some PvP mis-matches.

And I am sorry that you are not smart enough to read my post. I had lag IN THE VERY BEGINNING,, NOT IN PVP. That is so very very sad that a game has that much lag at level 1. Its also sad that they spent more money on HYPE than on making sure their game will run POLISHED on all ISPs in North America BEFORE THEY RELEASED IT. I also did not say that I made it past 25, I specifically said that I heard from fellow players who had made it. So, who is the dumb one? Certainly not I. NCSoft will not be getting anymore of my money.

WoW, do you even know what your talking about?

1) The lag you had was from one of the "hops" you're internet takes to send infomation to the game servers. It happens to most MMO's from time to time. I had the same problem the first day cause of a bad "hop" in washington DC. Once I was rerouted I didn't have a problem. Want to blame someone for that? Blame the cheap teleco's. Our internet infostructure lags behind eurpoe and asia.

2) PVP at 15? At 15 you should still be in the newbie zone. The first zone that you should see "rifting" or pvp is at 19+.

3) I wouldn't listen to those "fellow" players ever again. They gave you bad infomation and now you look like a fool for repeating that bad infomation.

You're the one paying (way) too much emphasis to it. How's the rest of the world feeling about it though? Do they even care about xfire stats? And if they don't, why bother to "manipulate" the results?

 

Edit: To add a bit to your perspective, if it wasn't for your xfire constant advertisement, I wouldn't know that xfire had stats in the first place. For me xfire was something similar to gamespy, ie some useless game networking utility. Which brings us to the next question.

Do you actually work for xfire?
