On 24 June 2009, it was announced that longtime Mythic boss Mark Jacobs had left the company and that EA intends to merge Mythic with fellow RPG developer BioWare.^[1]

Electronic Arts announced on June 24, 2009, that they are restructuring their RPG and MMO games development into a new group that includes both Mythic Entertainment and BioWare. This newly formed team (now called the BioWare Group) will be led by Ray Muzyka, co-founder and General Manager of BioWare. With this change, Muzyka becomes Group General Manager of the new RPG/MMO studio group. BioWare’s other co-founder, Greg Zeschuk, will become Group Creative Officer for the new RPG/MMO studio group. Rob Denton will step up as General Manager of Mythic and report to Muzyka, later becoming Group Operations Officer of the new Group. BioWare’s studios remain unchanged and continue to report to Muzyka.^[9]

Mythic! Made warhammer, not Bioware, later, EA merged mythic into bio, not even that long ago, this game is soley in Biowares court.

I believe he was General Manager of Mythic, and I also believe their crafting sucked? Space is important, but thats another game all into itself, I mean really, their have been entire games based on indepth space combat, I dont expect it from the start, but I do think they will probabbly make a foray into it eventually, wil it be good? I dont know, they havnt really done space combat before, except for a rail shooter type sequence. It would be fascinating to be able to board enemy vessels with you and your friends.

This game is lots of thigns but its not a sand box for sure. I do't know how people even arrived to this conclusion. There is so much info to read and not even one part suggests in anyway that TOR is sand box. I guess people just want to imagine things?

Do you guys not understand words. "sandbox FEELING" means it might not be a sandbox at all. If they go out of their way to quanitfy sandbox then I doubt it is one. I dont particually care but god the infos right in front of you.

Who is in charge of the crafting, specifically? Anyone? If not, then it can't be a priority.

Just did some google fu, cant find ONE leade crafting designer for ANY game. Doesnt mean craftings not important, just means that it doesnt require a title.

I had high hopes for SWTOR when I first heard BW would be developing it. But the more features BW reveals, the more "cookie-cutter" it looks. The more way it is heading now is just like a WoW-clone, as much as I hate to say it. Face it, BW is using the exact same faction setup with the same faction-limited classes for each faction(also only 2 factions like WoW),  not to mention the same toon-stylistic design for the character models and the same terrain color palette. Im getting so sick of these WoW cookie cutter comments. WoW wasnt the original messiah of MMOs, they took features from previous MMOs, improved on them and streamlined some UI. Cookie cutter? Like grinding creeps? Or what, please say what you actually think is copying and then ask if copying that feature is such a bad thing. WoWs UI was pretty good. And what the hell are you talking about only two factions just like WoW, I can bring you a list of SO many MMOs with two factions. Thats pretty standard in the MMO world.

Good lord, maybe they would say what your saying if they were giving 90 days or only 30 more days. Those 30 days you get with your purchase is a guaranteed it isn't "free" you get it with your purchase. You are getting your : 30 days for the purchase of the product + 60 days extra for this promotion. God we are getting epicly trolled by this guy or he is just dense.

It clearly says you get a DOUBLE bonus not that it doubles your subscription time! It says double because

A) 10$ off of the purchase price

AND

B) 60 days extra

that sir IS a double bonus.

I was actually coming here to mention exactly that. Good going wizards 101! + rep in my book
