God forbid someone uses their brain to grind for them in a game rather than their sheer mind numbing stupidity of repetitive drone clicking in game.

Best part of it all is, you all shun and flame someone for using their intellegence instead of them being a drone like yourselves.

YAY AMERICA~!

I agree. I'd also like to state that all doping-free athletes are drones and idiots for not enhancing their performance! Stupid buffoons, they need to get a brain!

Well, this is bad news all around. Take away more rights from the public, give more rights to companies, all in the name of protecting us from those [insert bad people here]. There are numerous problems with EULA as has already been mentioned, such as not being able to agree to it before buying the software (and no, you can't take it back, at least no store I know of will take back software that's been opened.). Also, the legal terminology in most EULA's is so thick that many people might not understand what they are agreeing to. EULA's are not like contracts, which are negotiated between two parties. They are non-negotiable things which producers slap on their product, and consumers agree or cannot play.

This ruling is going to do nothing to stop botters. I don't know why so many of you are clueless to this fact. People who use the software already (which is hidden to blizzard) will continue to use it. Clones of the software will spring up and be more covert so as not to get caught. Or maybe they will get caught. Then more clones will come out. It's like the hydra - it starts with one head, if you cut it off, two more will grow. One head is better - one head can be tracked. But no one in this government understand that. They have done it time and again every time.

They are punishing the do-gooders (consumers) for the crimes of the do-bads. (The criminals may be the ones fined, but software users are the ones who will be punished). We aren't allowed to use our RAM the way we want now? WHAT IS THE WORLD COMING TO. I can't wait for processbots which scan your computer and sends reports of running programs to various corporations or agencies to be mandatory. Heck, we already have things like gameguard/punkbuster that do just that. All to protect us from cheaters. And it DOESN'T EVEN WORK!

Not true. A guildie and his girlfirend got banned after the first day of trying glider, Blizzard does actively ban botters and gold farmer accounts.

Nod. Unless they agree on a settlement, which I doubt Blizzard will grant him, there are other claims Blizzard made in their case against Michael Donnelly that the judge has yet to make a verdict on.

I think Blizzard is waiting on the verdict of their other claims before they make a damage compensation claim.

Nah, they will just hire him to create a GM glider, so they can fire all the GMs and still provide better service to the players. Trust me, inside information here!

Woah! I must admit that I'm both positively surprised and in awe of the quality of the trailer they've put out. I was not very keen on this title before, but now my opinion has changed.

It seems like we might finally be getting a worth-to-play MMOFPS.

I bought The Witcher, but I couldnt really get into it because the controls were a bit funky to me.

The Witcher is everything AoC promised to be, in single-player form.

I don't think the game will be a new IP, but a Starcraft MMOFPS or MMORTS.

I don't think Blizzard has declared specifically that they won't be using an existing IP for the new MMO, but rather that they wan to work on something new and innovative and not just WoW 2.

Hah why August 14th? I doubt we will see crash, but a gradual decline into depression is what I would prognose.

I had Champions Online HIGH on my list, and I practically kicked it out. Why? He said Champions online will be an ACTION RPG, where you duck and cover, jump out of the way and block. Like in console fighting games. Geez. I am SO dissapointed. I had hoped it would be along the City of Heroes lines. I am fed up with everyone wanting to make a Conanesque game these days. :(

The GREAT revelation AoC was to me, as much as some things are fun, that the fast paced, action RPG combat takes away A LOT of strategical depth and character development depth. If combat is like piano playing, you cant give the characters many different attacks, like in a WOW or EQ2 or LOTRO style of skill based combat. It feels exciting at first and grows boring VERY fast, because essentially you do the VERY same from early levels to the end. Everything complex is entirely ruled out in such fast paced action combat.

A pity. Another game bites the dust, another big flop in the making. Sigh. :/

I have to agree with you. I don't mind MMOFPS titles, if they are honest MMOFPS titles. Either make a game a full blown FPS or RPG. I have yet to see well made hybrid MMO.

A game in the style of Bioshock could be viable, however. I would definitely play that.

Well, well, I am sure the original poster, being a vigilant follower of the financial market, is well aware that the share and actual value of a company don't exactly correlate 1:1.

I guess this 'honesty' thing is picking up. However, in my opinion this isn't very efficient damage control. Too little, too late.

In my opinion, to set things right for Conan, what Funcom needs to do is offer free subscription time like Blizzard did, apologize first and foremost and come forward with their game plan for fixing the game in much more detail.

I want to play AoC, I really do, but the game is not worht the monthly fee at the moment, not by a long shot.

In my opinion the whole game is outdated, from the game mechanics to the graphics. Also, the hackers/exploiters haven't exactly run amok, but are still an annoying presence. Oh what I would give for well done remake! I seriously don't understand why one isn't in the works.

Frankly speaking, I'm moving on to ping-pong. Now that's a game with class!

I don't think Diablo 3 will be a good susbtitue for a MMO. Maybe, just maybe, one might get away with just playing Diablo 3 for the first couple of weeks after release. After that, I would be greatly surprised if the game did not become too monotonous for most.

Bioware's MMO is a fantasy game with dragons, nothing to do with Star Wars whatsoever.

Maybe someday there will be a Kotor, but it will be quite a while if you are waiting for Bioware to do it.

Explain then their calaboration with Lucas Arts? If they were making another Orcs n Elves game then what does Lucas Arts have to do with it?

Willow?

Doubt it. I' betting the MMO could be either Dragon Age Online or KotOR Online or maybe, just maybe a Mass Effect MMO.

WoW, if you haven't played it, have a try. The above poster's suggestion were all god in my book as well, except for Cabal Online, which I think is horrible.

One thing people omitted here is that Lucas Arts has just pretty much confirmed a new Star Wars MMO.

Most probably Cryptic's new project is STO, however.

Hmm, I manage to have a full brutal set and a nice PvE setup (Tier 6) while only playing for around two hours a day on average, I actually enjoy arena, and spend no time in battlegrounds.

But hey, maybe that's because I know what I'm doing.

More likely you're a Rogue.

I'm sick of WOW's craptastic pvp. I can't wait for the DAoC Server to open.

Wrong, I'm a druid AND I'm balance for PvP, resto for PvE.

I'm all for pushing the release back, but I do not think they can afford to.

lemme think through it.

Warlock : super easy

Druid: super super easy

Warrior: easy

mage: super easy

hunter: omgwtfbbq easy

shammy: pretty darn easy

pally: really easy

priest: umm pretty easy

rogue: very easy

so either warrior or priest?  but its not saying much.

Priests are easy to level as shadow, as are warriors as fury. Paladains are by far the hardest to level if you don't instance.
