Lord of the rings online got my vote, I do not believe that the argument that " WoW has more people so it just seems worse" holds any water. In any case coming to MMORPG.com and hoping to find WoW loyalty is like hoping to find a "Clinton in 08" sign anywhere in the Fox News studios.

WoW is an ok "game" but the community is really horrible abd that runis it for me and a lot of the other MMO Vets.

I think the guilding issue is just a symtom of a larger problem that lies in the recent evolution of MMO gameplay. Starting with WoW and continuing to present MMOs are becoming more and more of an Elite squad based combat game, rather than a community.

If you know that you can only take 7 people into a dungeon the chances are good that you will get 7 people locked in before even going out there. This is where I think that "Instancing" as severly harmed the community aspect of MMOs. I remeber back in the old days you'd just wonder down to the local dungeon just to see who was there, that never happens anymore.

If there was no WoW game companies would still be trying to do inovative things, there would still be a community, and most of the "leet kids" would still be playing diablo.

But, we got dumbed down gameplay and an evolution moving MMOs slowly towards small, elite, squad based dungeon combat games.....yay :(

No class can tame, Lormasters and Captains get summonable pets.

PvP is never needed in my opinion. It tears apart the community and distracts from good PvE.

Of course there is, because as we all know if someone doesn't think exactly like you they are being paid for their words.

The reason WoW is successful is because the vast majority of people will settle for garbage.

In terms of crafting, I was level 11 and my girlfriend was level 12 and the first 2 things I could craft were better than what we had. As long as crafted goods always stay better than all but the rarest drop we're golden.

Dragonstar for mid/bors but mainly Ironhand from Gaheris. DAOC is the greatest mmorpg there has ever been.

As of 9:11am MST there are 19,000 poeple on a TUESDAY morning, this game has never been stonger and this event won't effect population much. Only those people who think they are more important than they actuallly are will quit. they might loose a couple hundred people. This silly event will not by any means harm the game.

I am fairly impressed with CCP, how many of your employers would stick with you like CCP has done? I know mine sure as hell would'nt.
