Pervy is not cute when little kids are around

As for officials, well, that's another thread, and one that isn't allowed here, so i wont go into it. Suffice to say i think they are utter morons who don't know which way is up, and just 'go with the flow' of what everyone screams the loudest, so they don't lose their positions. Thanks for the compliment. I hope i'm half the father my father is. |

Pervy is not cute when little kids are around
General Discussion « Scarlet Blade 4/17/13 11:28:09 AM
Why not worry about your kids, and let me worry about mine. That's the issue these days, people nosing around where it's none of their business. If their parents are not bothered by it, why would you even care? My little brother of 12 plays call of duty, and has probably seen more porn than i have. He makes wonderful grades in school, has plenty of friends, doesn't do drugs, and has a vocabularly that shocks me everyday with the depth he seems to have a grasp on it. As such, he is allowed to do what he pleases. He's tried both ciggarrettes and alcohol in his life, was quite discusted by them and now know's he doesn't want to do that ever when he gets to the age where society deems he should be able to. He doesn't hide anything from our parents or myself, and is not afraid to ask about something he doesn't know anything about. He has two guns, a rifle and a handgun, has been certified and knows the dangers of them
I was raised the same, and am a successful father who doesn't cheat, have my own clear cut ideas on what i want out of life, have been married almost 7 years this year, straight out of highschool with a woman i love, who treats me right and respects the man I am.
Stop sheltering your fucking kids, idiots. They are going to be exposed to all these things that offend you so very much at one point or another. Keep telling them no, it'll only make them want it more. |

I dunno if its a recurring thing with characters, but on my character, i recieved some 1200 bonus points for something(purchasing maybe?) and i bought the week long AP booster thing, for every 1 AP you get you get another. I have several builds fleshed out by the time i got to Trans. No redoing or grinding a single quest ever. Hell i didnt do near all the quests in a single area even once lol. I did run into problems with SP a little later, but was so far in that the SP rewarded jumped me back up to par in no time.

Mark Jacobs is not a fan of F2P right now.
General Discussion « Camelot Unchained 4/16/13 10:30:13 PM
Of course he says F2P is going to implode. Why would he say" Hey i wanna make a Sub game, but yeah, F2P is a viable option"? That'd be shooting himself in the foot. From what we have heard from slightly less biased sources, F2P has been very very successful, and has even revived some games that weren't doing so well. For those games, certainly, the company is making more money with microtransactions than they did with the Sub model. Personally, i'm waiting for Arenanets quarterly to see how well the B2P with cosmetic cash shop model is faring. |

We DONT know what level of PC he was using, or whether or not the textures in game were low res, etc. You should try using that ammo to defend with. Inner sources just make you look rather silly.

For those worried about team hoppers or the "winning side"
General Discussion « Camelot Unchained 4/14/13 11:06:19 PM
Originally posted by redcapp ...Controls? I dont understand what that has to do with the system implemented to stop alliances teaming up...but..okay! To update you and maybe bring more insight into how little making you reroll will affect anything, GW2 now charges money(Real $) to switch servers, and our server still has spies seated on other servers. If they will PAY to spy on someone, there is little doubt in my mind that people will reroll(or, just use those convienient extra accounts they got for donating ;) )) to do so as well. Just trying to bring the OP's expectations down into reality, as i was pretty pumped for GW2's WvW idea and was let down |

Originally posted by Mkilbride I might actually buy into this, except i play GW2. It has the same stipulations that your game has, and alliances happen all day everyday. We live in a world full of fansites, VOIP's, hell even cell phones. There will be imbalance. Don't get your hopes up that high to not think there will be. You'll crash n burn, my friend. |

Poll: If ESO costs $15/month, will you play it?
General Discussion « Elder Scrolls Online 4/13/13 8:47:54 PM
I wont play it based on it having a sub. Here's why. 1. Subs, from the moment i buy the game, are a constant negative. When i get bored, i remind myself i am PAYING every month to be bored. I quit, never to look back. It's a powerful gating mechanism. 2. When compared with B2P with cosmetic cash shop, i buy what i want IF I LIKE IT(cosmetics, expansions, etc), whereas with Sub model i am paying for them to develop content , in HOPES that i MIGHT LIKE it. With B2P, the power is in my hands to put my money where i deem fit. This is such a plus that it makes Subs even more negative in my book.
For businesses, at least where i am concerned, B2P/F2P is their best bet. Example: I played FFXI for a few months, hit a bored spot. Thought to myself" I'm paying them X amount per month to be bored" Dropped the game, never to return. GW2: Played the game for a few months, got bored, dropped it. New content came out, Not gated by sub to return, so i drop in to check it out. Find out i like the game again. Buy a character slot and some new cosmetics that came out, and im happily chugging along still. One game never got any more money from me, the other got money from me. IMO- SUBS ARE SHIT! |

[POLL] If TES:O Did Not Have AvAvA, Would You Play it?
General Discussion « Elder Scrolls Online 4/11/13 8:48:42 PM

I dont mind it just being PVP, but asking for a sub for a pvp only game is a no go for me. PVE content in mmo's takes the most dev time and effort, and there are tons of games with lots of pve and pvp that dont want a sub. Asking me to back a sub only pvp only game is nuts.

Camelot Unchained Kickstarter Progress Discussion
General Discussion « Camelot Unchained 4/06/13 11:10:31 AM
Originally posted by Binafus GW2 certainly has many issues, and im sure CU will launch with its own fair share of bugs or things that need tweaked as well. I didn't want to derail the thread into something about GW2, just wanted to use it to explain my thinking. From what i understand, PVE content is harder/more dev intensive to make when compared to a static system in a RvR setting. In my head, it's like "Hey, this game gives me lots of quality PVE and story, along with a RvR setting, and is buy to play. This game promises to be a quality RvR experience, but is both box cost and sub fee. Hmm. Kinda feel like i'd be getting scammed or be overpaying for the just RvR game since this game here did alllll this, albeit not perfectly, for a flat 60 bucks."

Originally posted by Arcona apologies then, got my numbers mixed. they didn't announce yet the sub price, so i just used to norm 15/m. Still, its more than the flat 60 i paid for GW2 that again, has both lots of pve and DAOC style WvW. |

General Discussion « Camelot Unchained 4/06/13 10:15:53 AM
Originally posted by Binafus I laughed my friend. Laughed really hard! If i wont pledge 25 to get the game and pay 15/m why would i pledge 400 something to get a lifetime sub? 400/15= almost 27 months! No...no. And i'm fine with no PVE. I liked DAOC. But when i have paid 60 for GW2, which has both a very healthly amount of PVE with DAOC style WvW, without a continuing sub, trying to sell me on a game that is half that FOR a sub...just doesnt sit right. Just my two cents. |

I'm just not cool with the sub payment model. Make it B2P, F2P and i'll pledge something. I do not feel that paying a monthly sub for a RvR game with admittedly little PVE is worth my money.

Depends on what you all wanna get out of it. For roleplay, i havent found any matching it(and not the pixelated sex stuff) but as a general hop in and play game id say no. It's got alot to understand and learn, the tools you are given are really top notch for content creators and you can make abit of money from it as well.
