They don't do that, and i doubt they ever will.

I make about 200 certs an hour soloing as sniper support, focusing on picking off healers and anti-tanks. As infantry it is all about player skill earning certs. I can't comment on vehicles though as i rarely use them.

WOW! This game is a complete disapointment.

Originally posted by skydiver12 It's interesting that some people have performance issues even with high-end stuff. My GTX 580 doesn't give me any issues whatsoever with everything cranked up to max, and i haven't installed the latest beta driver. The people/vehicles disappearing was what i referred to when i mentioned clipping. Hopefully this is something they can tweak, although it doesn't really happen THAT often, it is an issue nevertheless. |

Originally posted by bishbosh2 I think i understand what you mean actually. It seems the weapons are actually designed that way. I know a lot of people complained in bf3 about rifles being almost as efficient as snipers at long range if you had a good scope. Perhaps it's a design decision? I haven't attempted to shoot anyone from a range above 150 metres or so with an assault rifle. |

Originally posted by bishbosh2 When it comes to carbines and standard rifles i cannot comment, however i've found that sniping works perfectly fine from really far distances. Hiding in mountains, shooting into a base that is being assaulted works really well for me, and has gotten me killstreaks on more than one occasion. |

Originally posted by bishbosh2 I have yet to notice the poor gunplay, and as for tutorial i didn't really need one to figure it out. Of course, the latter doesn't apply to everyone. Are you talking about network lag or performance lag? I've noticed a little network lag, but it's rare. I get no performance lag at all, and i'm one generation behind (2600k cpu and a gtx 580) |

Now that the game has been live for a couple of days, what are people's initial impressions? As for myself, it has pretty much replaced my BF3-sessions. I drop in with 3-4 friends, squad up, and just try to help my team as much as possible, and i am really enjoying it for what it is. My initial fears of the game possibly becoming properly P2W have been eased as the only things you can buy for irl cash are the weapons, which seem to mostly be sidegrades. With the 4000 points i got from alpha squad pack, i've bought 3 different weapons for different classes, and to be fair i didn't really like any of them more than i liked the stock ones. As for base-capture mechanics i find them perfectly fine, the obvious problem being actually organizing yourselves properly to capture/defend since most people don't really know how to play their roles yet. I do believe that this will get better as time passes and people get more experienced though. I've had a few issues related to people clipping in and out (playing on a full server), but that's about the only bug that have annoyed me, and i think it's something they can probably fix in the near future. So how about you? What are your negatives/positives thus far? |

I haven't seen this issue really. I play as light assault mostly, utilizing the weapon you got with alpha squad (can't remember the name), and a 1x NV-scope. I find that hitting targets up to 100 metres away isn't particularily hard at all.
That said, i haven't experimented too much with other classes/weapons. |

The gamepad-issue some people have applies to some other devices as well. I use an USB Condenser microphone, and if it is active when i boot the game up, it crashes instantly. Luckily i can just turn my voip application of choice up after i boot the game and it works fine.

You can do this in any common programming language really, wrap a browser control into whatever language you wish. You can use any of them, Chromium, Mozilla, IE, Opera etc.

POLL - Who continues to play and who stops?
General Discussion « Guild Wars 2 10/29/12 9:11:16 AM
I hit 80 in about 8 days, i was quite addicted to it to be honest. At this point i only log in when i'm bored to play WvWvW PvP, which i play the same way i play games such as Battlefield 3 or Planetside 2. The game was still great value, and the enjoyment i had during those days was far more than any other MMO has managed to give me since Ultima Online in 1999.

Auction House: Death of Community
The Pub at MMORPG.COM « General Discussion 10/06/12 3:00:10 AM
For me, this is one of the most important things i look for in an MMO. I could go ahead and write a long essae on the matter, but why bother when Raph Koster has already done this for me?

It is a very good read that outlines the problem in a way that perhaps more users here will understand. |

[Editorial] Torchlight 2: Beating Blizzard at its Own Game
News & Features Discussion « General Discussion 9/24/12 11:32:33 AM
Seems Blizzard is starting to fall. While i enjoy Torchlight 2, i still think Path of Exile deserves more recognition though, it's a worthy contender and in my opinion far superior to any other "Diablo-clone" out there when it comes to game mechanics and design.

I hit level 80 3 days ago, and i did it to take advantage of the Trading Post and make as much profit as possible before it stabilizes for the high-tier stuff. It has already gotten me roughly 8000 crystals and a pile of 71g, well worth it.

Originally posted by thinktank001 Last time i checked, there was no way to buy an advantage in the cash shop. Yes, there are exp-boosters for mob kills, but mobs give such bad exp that you probably level up about 10x faster just doing the dynamic events, which anyone can join at any time. Not to mention they're actually FUN! As a sandbox-fan (UO and SWG specifically), this is the first Themepark i've actually enjoyed. My only real gripe would be that it is zoned, rather than truly open world really. |

Hello there! I am looking for people to play with on a somewhat regular basis. After having played solo for the first few days i have reached level 11 and realized that i have to repeat content or go to different starting zones in order to progress in my area solo. It's a huge bonus if voice chat is being used, preferrably Mumble. I also have a Mumble server of my own (5 years uptime now) that could be utilized if none exists. As for content, i'm willing to just about everything, PvP, PvE, Dungeons, Exploration, you name it! The server is Piken's Square. I'd appreciate a response in this thread.
Thanks! |

Java hasn't been an exclusively interpreted language in years. I suggest you get up to date with how the Virtual Machine works, in particular the JIT-part. By your logic anything written in the .NET environment should be avoided as well. |

General: 'What Is a Lord British Ultimate RPG?'
News & Features Discussion « General Discussion 11/16/11 3:25:43 AM
Considering that there are no technical limitations to putting a game as elaborate as Ultima Online in a browser, i'm sure the issue lies in greedy publishers and a casualization of the market. |
