Sorry I didnt explain it well. You play the EU trial. IF you buy the game you have to create a new account with Turbine and start over again. You lose your EU Trial characters. |

The EU link works for US players. Download LOTROEU_Book14_GB_Installer.zip |

So I have spent a week trudging through the internet trying to find someone who could give me a buddy key. Finally I have found a way to be able to trial LOTR Online. This will get you set up on the UK Trial. Sure you cant play with your american friends but you can atleast try the game. Go to www.codemasters.com/trylotro/englishuk/index.php There you are going to follow the steps. Click FREE TO PLAY FOR 14 DAYS. And you will get your key. Create your account with Codemasters as well. Next download the game from www.ausgamers.com/files/details/html/40004 Using firefox, google, whatever you use. But you cannot use IE as it is a large file. I tried with IE and it was corrupt. I tried with Firefox and was successful. Now install the game, run the updates. The updates take a good few hours as it updates you to MOM expansion. Your trial key is NOT FOR MOM but it installs the updates anyways. Now go ahead and play the 14 day trial of LOTR ONLINE (excluding MOM) and then buy the game if you like it. |

I havent played this game is many years but it was and still is the best MMORPG EVER!!! Asherons Call has things that new "Next Gen MMORPGS" are boasting about! Customize your character yourself there are no real classes. Dodge bullets! (I mean magic and arrows)

So I also found out that the UK key does not work on the US client. I just downloaded the US client for nothing. I am downloading the UK client. Will I be able to run the UK client here in Canada? I have been trying SO hard to be able to try this game! |

Did I read corectly that there will be a trial on January 22nd?
Quote: Starting on January 22nd there will be a Darkfall trial with the distribution of the release candidate client allowing thousands of players to sample the game for free, help us stress test our servers and test the final features of the game. So i hope they dont limit this to only a few thousand people. |

Im not overly wow'd by it. The graphics are nice. I like being in the middle of the fights. Feels like im in the movie! Its really neat. I think the game is buggy, im stuck on the third part the mines the game will not let me into a passage way to get to my checkpoint I have to get to.
I have not tried LOTRO yet though. |

Hi everyone! So I played this game back in beta. But I was hooked on WOW at the time and did not give LOTR the attention it deserved. I have been trying to find a buddy key but I have had no luck. My next step is to just buy the game and hope that I like it. SO I am here to see what people say weather I should buy the game or not. I also heard there was some founders thing where someone could invite with a founder key and then the monthly fee is reduced? |

Is this game a free to play or pay to play?
I have read a few different answers. |

So ive been reading that you create your character, and that the game is not really based around finding new loot and armor.
If you create your character and down the road want to change the clothes/armor you are wearing are you able to do that?
Does anyone know? |

EVERYONE, give this game a try, and give it time! Well, Runes of Magic launched today. I have been watching RUnes of Magic for months now waiting and anticipating the release. I have not played Runes of Magic as long as I have been playing Atlantica. I never thought I'd say this, but I LOVE Atlantica! Combat in Atlantica takes skill. I find that with Atlantica I want to log in and play for hours. Combat is involved and requires thinking. Sure there isnt a lot of magic/spells. But I got thinking, 6 to 9 characters, 2 spells each, thats not bad come to think of it. I started playing Runes of Magic and found I wanted to log off after a bit. The combat is click, press 1, press 2, press 3, press 1, press 2, press 3. I am an EX-WOWer for 4 years, and have NEVER played FInal Fantasy. I always thought i'd hate turn based. I LOVE turn based combat now! |
