I am 52 + now /cry housewife and I'm saying this to give you  a base for my opinion. I just feel that this games ad thing does not give advertisements on male body parts as much prominence okay that came out a  bit tongue in cheek what I am saying is that this games area is mainly a guy thing so ads cater to tits and boobs wait that is the same thing I mean ass and tits.

Also I think ads on men showing hair on thier navel and below is not even so common but yet in europe where I live breast get flashed on T.V. I just feel its a little unfair but not because I want to drool over them just that I would like to see more naked men on T.V. no that is not what I meant I mean that society has evolved to an extent that equal exposure to men and women were acceptable.

I disagree with the op because I am not willing  to invest in another game like I invested in WoW. Many of us think we want to but in reality we do not we think we will invest our time, heart, energy and dedication to another game but the minute the spectre looms over us we begin to flounder and falter because we remember the actual effort it took. No then we find fault in the new game and after a few months we leave for another game and that goes on and on. I myself have flitted from game to game since Everquest.

I have only ever invested in three games. Everquest, FFXI, WoW and to an extent Everquest 2. I cannot find a single game right now that I am willing to invest in. I doubt it has anything to do with the game not being WoW and more but rather that I no longer desire to make such an investment.

This is one of those cases where the remedy is worse than the disease. See it is bad to wait around for hours to get a group and then go together to do the dungeon but the introduction of the lfg tool has added more social isolation and complete disregard for human interaction and thereby contributing to a game community's decline. Really very hard situation to remedy both situations are untenable .

May be the tool should not be so aggressive it should only allow people to place their name on a list and perhaps describe themselves and allow others who form groups to enlist them. It does not however teleport you anywhere and you still have to travel there the old fashion way. Like it was in City of X lfg tool.

I was under the impression that the diablo 3 pirated versions were nowhere like the real game. This is what I understood from reading about it and this was why I am convinced this simcity 5 probably will also not be pirated with real success. 

It is however a pity that should EA choose to shut down the game in a few years we will be left high and dry and that is what I find unacceptable.

I miss my house in EQ 2 and Vanguard. I think game retention would increase with aspects that involve other things over combat alone. I stayed longer in a game with housing and was more likely to stay there meaning more loath to leave a game. Game loyalty increases with attachment.

LotRO had an awful housing system with the rubish hook stuff but I still miss my little hobbit home there because there you could decorate the outside too. I think Everquest 2 was the absolute best as far as ideas went with furniture and I also liked that you could collect tropies so you could combine hunting and killing with collecting items for your house.

Taking part in a contest in Rift will not be on my own list so judging the popularity of housing based on the number of contestants seems spurious. Many indulge in creative aspects of gaming out of interest not to show off really and I enjoyed people coming to my EQ 2 home and sending me a tell askign if I might do their home. That was absolutely wonderful to have someone else think your home looked good that did not require a contest but just as sweet.

Everquest had illusions and stuff that you did not use for combat like summoning fancy food and party favours. I think that frivolity is missing in our games. We no longer have worlds just games. So functional and no whimsy anymore and the games have lost their heart.
