wow = owned by blizzard. They had a previouse fan base. Besides the fact that wow was originally made to out do EQ and steal its fan base. Everquest = 989 studios "RIP" /variant / Brad Mcquad / Sony Yet again another materialistic mmo LoTR = Materialistic? WAR = same AoC = same Startrek and starwars and FF. The only reasion they got so big in the first place is for Materialistic approach's of gaining a fan base according to your name to make as much money in as quick of a time as possible. Before people realize the game is Garbage. Blizzard and Variant / Sony Just acctually did a good job. a Good Mmo. Truely should only require. Good game play and good Lore. everything else is Brain candy. Right now is Another MMO Turning age Where they are all trying to make a game and come out Number one where all the old ways are well....Just old.

A thought For your Buying items dillema. Most mmos Gold shops or whatever you wanna call em are Rip's. Making you buy items to even be able to advance in the game. Were otheres sell things like. Using PWI as an Example. 50% more exp for 30 mins. Or Special mounts. or special clothing. Or Mabie instead of spending 10 hours Farming Materials for trade skills. if you have the money you can go buy them. Not to mention some of them. You can use in game money you have collected to buy money for the "shop" So you technically don't need to spend real money ever.

I don't Hate em all. :). But i do hate the ones that require me to put more time into it then Trying to learn how to be a underwater Blacksmith. If someone Say's they hate mmo's I wonder to my self why you have not thrown there computer out the window yet? Since everything else on the internet you can do on a PSP From any where in the world with wireless. Starbucks anyone? |

PWI Is a Lore Rich Game Filled with lots of questing and Trade Skilling. I would more cuggest the game too people Who have played Mmo's before. New players will for sure enjoy. The Graphics Fall in with WoW and Vanguard. The Game is AWSOME full Graphics. Trees,Shrubry,People and water just astonishing. Especially water. Gameplay - The game play at first Feels alot like wow. Its a good fighting system all mmo's us it now almost. Once you start lvling a little more though you'll find the differences. Theres no food or water req's. You can breath underwater forever. Elfs have wings and can fly. Theres skill sets kinda like wow so that you can build your character to your liking. There is also 4 stats. Str, dex, vit, Mag. you get 5 a lvl to spend as you wish. Theres mounts flying and ground. There is one of the "shop" things. But the items sold Are NOT in any way REQUIRED for gameplay. Really the stuff is Hacks. They sell hacks for there own game. O.o. Heres were the game is a bit limited. There's only 3 races and 6 classes. the classes are spread by race. Human's - Blademaster - DD fighter/Rogue/Monk Mage - Caster Untamed - Barbarian - Meat shield/DD tank Venomancer - Ash from pokemon as a playable class. Elf - Cleric - Healer/pally Archer - This class is Literal to terms. its not a ranja. Its an Archer. Now some of my fav things about this game is that. It may be free But GM's are almost always on and are almost instantly there to get you out of a pickle. The World economy Is Great. Not over priced not under priced and plenty of noobs selling it for too cheap. There is an auction house But you can also become a trader Any where you want (old school eq any one?) Factions are every were (Guilds) They as well have progression were the guild it self can lvl up. Raiding is consistent starting at a low lvl and continuing on. Theres Tons of World wide Dynamic Quests that go from lvl 1 to lvl 101. Max lvl is 100 and something. Most AMAzing equipment has to be quested or Made. Trade skills are dynamic enough that you can actually make a succesfull Trader Character Were you played them for trade skills. you gain exp when you go Mat hunting (mat=Materials). you gain exp when you make stuff. you can break down what you made to make something else. People are Very nice. Also world chat has less idiots cause it costs to talk. :). the world is also HUGE. But if you look at the map it seems small. Really the game is only half a continent but proper in right in all ranged aspects. Theres not really to many "seperate areas" your on a continent. Also the game is Decently High graphic and Not system intensive at all. I run bout medium graphics and my vid card is still PCI. Now Please try. :). Links? Oh its already been seen. Wow has 5 times the population everquest did. An that game was overpopulated at one point. The next big one will have 75% of wow's players With all the Original players Plus The new ones that come. |

I agree Dana. When I look for an mmo I usually go for Graphics and system intensity first then Gameplay. Cause really there all point and click. Wow Felt too Childish too Me Right away when i seen the cartoony graphics Straight to the Easy follow the book Gameplay. The only thing I have been more and more looking at as of late is Endgame Material which almost Every mmo Lacks. I have only been using WoW as examples Do to the fact GoD prolly plays it. |

I agree with some of what he said. But the system reqs is nonsense. Everquest has an insane system req list. But that dosent mean the game is any good. Acctually some of the still intact old zones are still 1998 Graphics. WoW system req's OS: Windows XP / Windows Vista (with latest Service Packs) Processor: Minimum: Intel Pentium 4 1.3 GHz or AMD Athlon XP 1500+
Minimum: 512 MB RAM (1GB for Vista users) Video: Minimum: 3D graphics processor with Hardware Transform and Lighting with 32 MB VRAM Such as an ATI Radeon 7200 or NVIDIA GeForce 2 class card or better

...Ive been floating around playing alot of the free mmos. Ruins of magic or what ever SUX!! Terrible Game play. Alot of mmo's just seem like re-skins with Different game play. like the company Aeria. Every game is a Re-skin. uh Titan online Is an oriental based WoW. Also wow is Technically free on a free server. :). I am still a HUGE everquest fan. I think that sony should delete the whole thing and remake it with the same lore and all the such much. the game just needs to in general be completely re-hashed. Now I have played ALOT of the free mmo's. Currently my two favs are. Fiesta for the cartoony anime style fun stuff. An PWI (Perfect World Int.). I mean the Game all together is like 2 gigs. Its not system intesive. The graphics and character creation stand up with vanguard. the game runs smoothly with out troubles on full graphics and my video card is still a PCI. gameplay is Amazing there is always something to do at all levels and its not always leveling. The race/Class options are a little limited. But it makes for Better RPing. I love this game. so do the many Ive converted from WoW to it already. I would highly suggest it for the free mmo's. I play Heavens tear. yorkshire 30 Barb. Honostely if this game gameplay and graphics don't do it for you as a free game. Go play a MuD. Which I also play. :P http://pwi.perfectworld.com/ |
