Why does this game require a monthly fee?  Its not even an MMO, its a 3rd person TF2 with a lobby you walk around in on the outside of matches instead of using the steam server browser...

Agree'd, I've always been a fan of Runescapes model.

I went into the darkfall trial with the mindset the community was terrible from following forumfall for a while before and these boards...

After dying twice on goblins someone came along and gave me like, a full bone armour set! gave me some tips on combat and sent me on my way... I was taken aback... maybe this was just lucky?

I thought that till i logged in the next day and I was killing some more goblins (cant get enough ;D) and by the end of it I had made a really decent amount of friends...

The community from what I seen was not as expected. Fair enough I didn't run into the hardcore pvpers (but they're twats in every game... no not all pvp'ers but there is a fair few who are)

Therefor, your OP is invalid ;D

Re-edited post:- Basicaclly last night I had a dream i was playing Global Agenda, but I was my character, and I was talking to ther other people on the map, they were just like normal people my age with guns/jetpacks and whatnot

Strange thing is I've only watched two videos on this game and I'm not too sure of the gameplay...

Although at one point my friends jetpack broke at I carried him to safety using mine which I don't think you can do ingame ;p

 Also... the jetpacks burned my thumbs ;x

In the past I've had ones that have included elements from Runescape/Habbo/WoW/Halo/Ultima Online (weird dreaming in such old graphics ;p)

The runescape one was me doing the iban underground pass quest :| was sh- scary

Star Trek Online.

Three words that could have made an MMO so spectacular that regardless of if you liked Star Trek or not, it would have been a stellar game.

They could have done anything with this game, the diversity of features that would set it apart could have been pheonominal.

Unfortunately Cryptic made it like this and compeltly ruined any chance of having a successful game, it looks terrible!

I've watched as they've taken the possibility of an outstanding and unique game and piece by piece destroyed any hope I had of playing the type of ST:O I'd have wanted to..

it's pretty and fun and stuff but it didn't hold me... total wanted it to aswell... hah

Isn't Mortal Online basically a remake of UO?

Also instead of city of heroes I think Runescape should be there... nexgen runescape playstyle would be intresting to see.

The only thing runescape is good for these days... cross server characters.
