I play Aion for the fun. Some of my friends converted from WoW to Aion so I decided to join them. I wasnt from WoW, I came from Warhammer and Atlantica Online. Although I played WoW for 4 years and had that comparing to WoW shit in my head. I decided to walk in this game open minded like I did with Warhammer and Atlantica. When I walked in the game world it seemed large and open. When I started to level I knowticed it was a typical NCsoft area, which was fine, but dissapointing.

I keep continuing to play the game because of its fresh taste and newer styled gameplay features. I cant wait for the expantion patch though, it looks decent, but im hoping I hit 50 by the time it releses.

Meh, thats what everyone says, but a game where u play with each other pretty widley is a MMO imo.

Thanks for all the ideas. Ive tried conan on relese but it didnt seem that populated. Eve ive read up on and I dontl ike space MMOs. Atm im trying Vanguard... It seems solid.

Hey everyone.. ive been inactive testing a few games lately, but now that im back, I am now in a rut.

I need a new game. Im currently playing Aion, but till the lag gets better I need a game to chill the fuck out on if u know what I mean. Ivehad over 8 years of MMORPGing in me so any game suggestions would help.

World Of Warcraft

Atlantica Online

Aion Online

Everquest

Diablo

Guild Wars

If any other games u like are not up there, or u have any info on why I should go back to one of them, please give me some advice. Oh and btw, I left WoW for a reason, so thats a no no for me.

Ive heard you pay for 30 days, but those days only count while you play and not while loged out, like in game playing time.

Is that true?

 This is my first politicial post. Probably not my last. Over the years, more and more americans have made America a "Safer" place. Or so they seem. People like PETA and Wildlife protectors are going around spreding lies and defending what they belive in, so why do I think thats rubbish? I think its complete rubbish because since the enviromentalists want to save the animals so damn much, people die in floods because they dont want us to drench rivers and dig out the loose sand that is elevating our water levels. This regards the Washington flood. So please Wildlife protectors out there, go shoot your self if you think we are hurting the enviroment, because all your doing is killing us.

Now for prisons, and why they are full. SO you all know about Death Row right? Well its escelating through huge emounts of people in line to be killed. So why aint they going through them faster to shorten the row? Well for one thing, we Americans think for some god damn reason that Lethal injection and other tourcher devices are "inhumane". All I have to say is, you or them? Do you want a murderer to live a siphon a bunch of the governments money just to keep a guy who killed your family or knifed a random person walking down the street alive? Thats inhumane if you ask me. And also, if your 50 years old for example, and are sentenced to life in prison or 50+ years in prison, then why arnt you on death row? Why siphon my, our tax payers money to keep these MFers alive. Letting someone rot, imo is inhumane, kill them where they stand and end there, and our pain.

Vanguard, again COOOKIEs. but it was littered with bugs, no huge changes after two years - three years, only two end game raid dungeons, loot is still messy, game is still laggy, pvp still has no meaning, servers are empty, it had great promise but it was shot down due to a horrible release. Tried it during the new player experience but still its like age of conon the new starting area is not a representation of the game itself.

 

well they are my top five. You may have noticed I left out WoW from the list, and I may get called a WoW player but WoW does what it does best ever since it was released, being a king of clones. Its alright and does not deserve to be in the catiigorty with these terrible games mentioned aboved.

Perfect World, Runes of Magic, Sword of the New World, DDO(upcoming), Requiem Bloodymare.

I could not include Atlantica because the client runs like molasses on my computer and I find the combat extremely lame.  If you are going to do strategic combat, let me at least move the pieces around like they did in heros, those two battle lines just make me laugh.

 

So im guessing you dont like the final fantasy series? Because the system is just like that but more intense. 

 Meh, even know I love my grouping, I have to agree with yah. You make some good points. Plus, with out single playing, you cant really get the experience of your class and how not to panic when about to die. Single player is a great way to learn, and Multiplayer (Grouping) Is the best way to conqure. Admit it, you cant rule the world with out going through all the shit it puts in your way.

I couldnt stay in one game for more than 5 minutes with out getting kicked being called a hacker when everyone else around me is jumping like #*$&ing morons. 

If this game wasnt ruled by the players, and I didnt get kicked every #&*$ing game when I finally hit a rythem. Then it would be good. But for now till Rakion Staff gets there mother fuckin heads out of there asses. Im done with it.

Not to be an asshole or anything, but please post this type of Thread in LFGame where it belongs.

 Grouping is what makes an MMO an MMO. If you dont have grouping, you are playing a single player game like Guild wars. Guild wars may have some social interaction, but not much.

 I have to agree with you original forum poster. WoW got me addicted in 04. Then when I heard about TBC, I was happy until relese, then I was pissed for buying it. It had mostly no new content that was not the same, no new freash taste in my mouth. Then when WoTLK came out, I payed 40$ for Wintergrasp and a level 80 cap? That should have been a fucking patch (Sorry for the language). So here is what I did. I sold my 5 level 80s and bought my dignety back by waiting for a newer greater game to come out (Such as Mortal Online).

So thats all I have to say. Quit WoW while u can, the more that leave, the more freash content blizz will relese to get you back. Just try it. I am.

Stop fucking making these forums if you think WoW is the god of MMORPGs. Think back before WoW. UO and EQ were gods, the twin god as I call it. They showed the world what each MMO in the future should build off of.

This review is bias from the start. First off the guy from the start says that the xpac is $&#&ing awesome. The majority of WoW players would dissagree and call that bias. WoW has now started to crack. This is the easy meter of World Of Warcraft:

WoW Original:

PVE: Pretty hard first time around with no mods, Some what of a grind.

PVP: Twinks R Us should say it. Crappy gear sends you to the grave yard.

Dungeons: This ties in with pve sort of. The dungeons are clean and exciting.

Open world PVP: This ties in with PVP. The PVP is very very poor to the noobs but fun to the higher levels. I know we can all say that we have been pwned once or twice neer the end of a hard quest.

Battle Ground PVP: Meh, Capture the flag, and get resorces is quite fun for a while till u have to grind it.

End game: Alot of hard core raids makes this one stand out.

Over all, WoW Original was the hardest out of the series. It was fresh, new, and fun which made the hard core peeps happy and the kids cry.

WoW BC:

PVE: Outland... hmmm, pretty nice area.... I see some new but most old. Thats how I would say it. I liked it, but Blizz could have added a litttle more features.

Dungeons: See how I put this in the right spot? The dungeons in BC arnt that great, there very repetitive and Blizz makes you want to grind dungeons to level fast with buddys since the exp boost on dungeons was patched up to be alot more than questing. Also Blizz put Heroic dungeons which require keys and reputation to enter. Heroics have enhanced loot and mobs which makes the average joe not so average after all.

PVP: Overall theres nothing new.

Open World PVP: New areas, not new style.

Battle Ground PVP: Same thing. Resorces and Capture the flag.

Endgame: Added Karazan and ZA. Not that original but it kept me happy for a month.

Over all, big dissapoint ment for people that waited till midnight. It was a quick peice of $&#% that lasted a week.

WoW WoTLK:

PVE: Same as BC, added more quest, new cap, more rep to grind, and thats about it.

Dungeons: Wee bit harder Heroices, especially Uldars side dungeons on heroic. Makes the average group fail at the end.

Raids (Endgame): Remakes, thats all I have to say. You payed money to Blizz for $&$&ing remakes of raids? HAH!

PVP: One word, WINTERGRASP BITCH! This is what made me like this xpac. Good solid PVP.

Other thoughts, umm WoTLK should have been 15$ imo. Nothing new but wintergrasp. The raids are the same for gods sakes and the only decent thing added was achievements. Big dissapointment.

Ratings:

WoW Original: 5/5 Nothin gets better than this.

WoW BC: 3.5/5 Could have lived with out it.

WoW WoTLK: 4/5 A big dissapointment but wintergrasp was epic.

WoW hasnt hit a plateau yet but it is slowing. At E3 Blizzard along with the Guiness Book of World Records announced that WoW was at 11.6 million. Thats only a gain of 100,000 in 6 months but WoW is still one of the few MMOs that is actually having significant gains.

Im predicting slow growth until the next expansion where it will top off at 12 million.

If your saying I was hating, I wasnt, I just dont like people who think WoW started MMORPGs so they compare it to that.

For all you saying im hypeing the game, im not. Im just saying what I saw in game play and what I hope will be on the table come relese. If its like a WoW 2 from what you all are saying, im not even going to test it till the 10 or 15 day trial comes out. Like most of you, im just looking at new MMORPGs and comparing them to newer releses. And Ive heard alot of people saying Aion is a WoW killer or Aion is the best, or Aion this, Aion that, and from what alot of people say its an advanced WoW. From what I saw, it sorta looks the same. But as some of you mentioned, im talking out of videos and developer reviews not game experience. Im probably not going to buy it. Ill try it, but I got my true eye on Mortal online just because it looks like a great game with alot of class.
