Personally I'm Very excited... I can't wait for this game..! I do wish, as many others thought, that some more information were available and foremost at a more regular basis - however, no information probably means they're working on the game and focus on that. in my opinion, even though it's put as 2007, I wouldn't think it to be released until 2008/2009.. probably mid 2008. Speculation though, of course, and as many say we don't have That much info. |

Another reason to hate IGE: it's owned by convicted pedophiles

Haven't read the whole thread, cba. Convicted you say? Guess they've served whatever punishment they got then... Ex-cons owning a site? omg! call the police! we can't have ex-cons actually WORKING can we!? Seriously... As long as they're legit now.. who the hell cares? |

I'd say UO or SWG... Those two I Know have good housing.. as for housing I haven't tested I've heard good things about Vanguard and Lord of the Rings.. EQ2 I haven't heard much about.. In SWG you can put your house almost anywhere, gameplay doesn't appeal to me though, but housing is still good. |

KOTOR MMO anonymously "confirmed"
The Pub at MMORPG.COM « General Discussion 10/22/07 6:55:42 PM
And anyone that's checked out the HeroEngine stuff knows that's it's quite advanced and foremost Very userfriendly. So friendly in fact, that it's original developers take in volounteers to help work on their MMO with the engines tools. With an engine that's so easily customized and used, it's no wonder if development is faster than usual. |

Very well done! Though I disagree with SWG being a full sandbox... but I guess it's as close as you get nowadays except for EVE... |

PotBS is *not* owned by Sony

Originally posted by Grunties Lovely way of putting it! And I fully agree... Just because it CAN happen, doesn't mean it WILL. And in honesty, FLS cares for this game and will not want to see it ruined by SOE.. So I doubt they'll let them. |

OP has two posts and it's a rant that's not very well thought through... I'd wager... He's... a troll! Wow, who would've guessed, huh? ^^ |

Flagship / EA - should we all take stupid pills ?
General Discussion « Hellgate: London 10/21/07 6:04:15 AM
Originally posted by gadunk I think you answered your own question.. Hell happened. Seriously though, I agree... This game is utter shit... Well, not utter shit. It plays well and all, but the immersion level is nil... I was really tagged to go into a postapocalyptic demoninfested world, learning why the heck the demons came to london of all places, if there rest of the world is f*cked up as well and foremost what we could do to stop it. Instead of immersion I get non-related voice acting and something they perceived as "humor"... Most out of context voiceacting so far imo. is when you get a quest to kill.. whatever it was and the guy goes: "So I said, "No, I don't have a shirt! Do you!?"" and then mumbles and grumbles.. |

Jake Neri of Lucas Arts discusses SWG
SWG Veteran Refuge « Star Wars Galaxies 10/20/07 8:05:06 PM
I concur with DeaconX that this if anything supports that Bioware, or someone else, will be doing a new Star Wars MMO in the close future, if not in development already (*fingers crossed*). That would certainly explain, if anything, why SOE is running SWG with so little support and a skeleton crew. However, might also be that they're cheap bastards that doesn't want to pay a cent more than necessary to keep a "decent" subscription number... |

I really hope this game is coming out, trust me, I think it'd be wonderful.. But I really don't get how people cannot understand why so many believe it to be vaporware.. I really don't.. |

Haven't read the whole thread.. but for me it was WoW.. Playing pre-cu SWG I had no problems with grouping, quite the opposite, it was loads of fun... WoW on the other hand had a LOT of... let's say... less intelligent people... who made me fear and despise grouping, not to mention that games that are heavy on the grouping usually punishes those who group with dividing exp for mobs rather than rewarding groupplay. Ultimately, I think it's WoWs community to blame for most part - but of course one must realize that other factors plays in. |

Jake Neri of Lucas Arts discusses SWG
SWG Veteran Refuge « Star Wars Galaxies 10/20/07 5:50:00 AM
Very few times when reading an interview I've felt that I've wanted to kill the person being interviewed.. But this is one of these times... I can hardly believe what I'm reading, how they defend the NGE and set up a smokescreen.. -.-' Also, since LA are greedy bastards they'd be fools not to release an MMO based on the very popular KOTOR franchise. SWG NGE for all those people who never experienced pre-cu (and a few odd, imo, vets) and KOTOR MMO for all those that hate SWG. LA gets the money either way so it'd be a smart move. |

Are there any MMORPGS out there with cutscenes or story?
LFGame « General Discussion 10/19/07 5:18:32 AM
I doubt there are Any MMOs without "Fed Ex" quests... I think FFXI has it as well. |

Meanest thing you've done to a Newbie player...
The Pub at MMORPG.COM « General Discussion 10/18/07 7:29:43 AM
I don't generally harass players and I have nothing against helping new players... But... I do bloody well hate beggars. There was a command in WoW when I was playing, afaik it's patched away now, but if you typed "\nice" (not / like when doing an emote) you got disconnected from server. So, basicly, whenever someone begged me for gold I'd go: "Type \ nice without the space between \ and nice and I'll give you some." Of course the poor sobs did... Gave me sucha laugh... Usually put them on ignore while they were disconnected. Sometimes though... It was fun watching them try to do the "emote" over and over again, saying "soz iz gotz dizzed". :P One time now and then we'd summon a perticulary bothersome beggar or "noob" to the STV arena, ungroup him and kill him for a while. Or just to the bottom of the ocean, where we swam with waterbreathing and watch him drown. Another mean thing, though not really to "noob"/"newbies" we did was mindcontrol people in STV to a river, then submerge them... When mindcontrol let go I'd sap... Then we'd mc again.. and so on until they drowned... After all... You can't spell Drowned without Owned...... Ah.. those were the days........ |

Heya, I'm looking for a MMO with an "Asian" setting, chinese or japanese (Jade Empire is a perfect example though it's singleplayer), but that's NOT a korean grinder? Preferably not so "manga"/"anime" either.. Is there even sucha game? I know all MMOs today come with some form of grind and that's alright of course, I'm just not much for the RF Online type of grind. If anyone knows a MMO like this then please write it here. ;) Feels like I've been looking for ages. Good graphics is of course a plus, but the most important thing is the story and setting. Thanks! ^^ |

Some heals in CoX requires an enemy for example, transferring energy that way and at the same time. It's possible that the nuke and the heal will be the same, or at the least combined. It's also possible that there will be drainnukes or drainnukes that heal. There's several ways they can solve this so I wouldn't be all that worried... |
