It's a blog, not a news article, a blog, you don't like the game, blogged it yourselves. Don't like the writer, don't read the blog.  Don't like not getting your way, tough.

first thing you do is contact Eve University and join it. They will teach you what Eve is really all about and how to survive and enjoy the game.

Unless you are into number crunching, you don't need a spreadsheet.

The Murder Herd (my guild) got atttacked this evening by over 8 separate guilds working together. I'd say the numbers were well over 200. I got lag for the first time since I started so I dropped my visual quality from 1600x1200 on high to 1024x768 on high, and my lag immediately stopped. The clans were the Old Timers Guild, CLAW, Severnity Now, Vindicators, Awful Company, and a couple others. We were attacked while at our guild city and managed to hold them off, pushing them both north towards the middle of Agon. Eventually our enemies ported out or ran off, and the battle finally ended.

Definitely one hell of a time, and I would like to thank all guilds that participated in this awesome battle. By far my best experience in Darkfall so far (seeing about 100 mana missels and 50 people firing arrows flying in your direction was definitely an amazing experience).

Sorry for being drunk and posting this, but I wanted to let you all know that relatively large battles are now happening on a daily basis. We saw 2 clans declare siege status against two other clans this evening, and they are the first 2 sieges to happen on the server.

So shit is already starting to get dirty. Looks like I'll be up until 7 A.M. again (thank god I don't have class or work tomorrow ).....

Why do the rabid fanboys keep coming here telling us about these massive battles that are getting bigger everyday. We are not interested and DF for many of us is a heap of dated shite. Instead of telling us ,why don't you maske a vid of these 200 people battles instead of showing screenshots that look like its more like 50 people and not 200.

Lets see a vid or stfu and post your shit on the main DF forums where the rest of your fanboys are waiting.

If you are no longer interested then quit reading about the game. I'm not even in the game but I do want some opinion from those in the game about its playability. As far as no video, so fucking what? I don't do fraps and I don't believe it is a requirement to exist on this plane of reality, so stfu and go read something else.  IF you ain't playing it,  I don't want to hear YOU.  Not that you are likely to shut up and go troll some other game.  Pest....

Someone mentioned being worried about a newbie getting into a corp because they didn't have any experience or very low skill level. There is a corp for you. It is called EVE University.  It is a corp but one dedicated to teaching the hows, whys, and wherefores of the game. Everything from best ways to mine to pvp. Many players have gone thru the classes that Eve Uni holds and then gone on to other corps. Many move on to my corp,  The Graduates, formed by former EVE Uni teachers and students.

I never belonged to Eve Uni, didn't even know about it, but sure wish I had.  Had to learn things the hard way.  Joining Eve Uni and learning from experience players and doing things with players of your skill level AND getting some pvp experience AND THEN joining a 0.0 corp, it is just the best way to go I believe.

EVE isn't for everyone but everyone should at least give it a fair trial.

At times yes EVE can be frustrating, you can actually rage at your machine because of a loss....but dude that first time i was minding my own business and some twit decided to attack for no reason than his ego and I blasted him into oblivon with one broadside....sigh....I was hooked.......

I'm not even that smart and I've been to a billion isk (game currency).....and back to being poor.  I've quit, looked for better, found none, and returned. I've been in great Alliances that have failed, and now am chewing on the corpse of the greatest game alliance that was. Been from Jita to the very edge of the universe. Hated the game, Loved the game.

If a game makes you passionate about it, gotta be good.  If a single character can change the history of the game.....gotta be things to do.

Not saying it is your game. But it sure is mine.

Is this game a game that new players could enjoy ? or will you be too far behind everyone?

You will be way far behind everyone both in skills and manufacturing.

Doesn't matter how far behind you start. Sure there are gods of PVP, gods of Trade, gods of being an ass. But the chances of you meeting them in the beginning are quite low (well except for that last one). Unless you are the moron who leaves High Security space in their noob ships to go look at 0.0. You'll be dead before ya know what hit ya.

Find a good corp and learn. Eve University is a great place to learn for new pilots. Before you know you be applying to The Graduates and joining them in 0.0 security space.

If you don't like dying, don't even bother.

this isn't a MECH game, it is a robot game........got me excited for a second.

Funny....I'm having no problem finding fights in WAR and I'm not always on the winning side. Glad to see you leaving thou. Don't need your kind (whine, whine) around.

My opinion of your opinion:

Who? Me? What did I do?

As far as AoC, haven't played it so of course I refuse to make unfair or untrue comments.

First, send me the money. Second, duh. Third, double duh. Fanboi, listen up. THE GAME IS NOTHING BUT LAG IN EVERY FIGHT I'VE BEEN IN WITH LARGE AMOUNTS OF PEOPLE.  So take your stupid advice and talk to ya mirror.  I was there with BIG BLUE, I was there with Morsus Mihi,  I've fought in 8MG, 3-FKCZ, C-N4OD, P3EN-E, WH-JCA. Fought large and small battles. I love EVE, I enjoy the corporations I've been in and the alliances I've fought with. I HATE CCP for failing to deliver.

I played the game for a long time. Gone through a couple of computer upgrades, graphic card upgrades to the top of the line, RAM to boot. THE MASSIVE BATTLES DON'T HAPPEN. He who plays the lag best wins. It ain't a fight, it's a nerdfest for fanbois.

So may your computer hang and your ship blow. Let your cable modem fry and your liquid cooler leak. And by the Pixels of Agony, may CCP delete your clone account 2 seconds before your ship goes down in a lagfest.

For those thinking of playing Eve, or returning to Eve, and really want to play in 0.0 and get into those big battles.....forget it. Big Massive Huge Battles For Domination Of Known Space can't happen because the server can't handle them. If you like jumping into a system with a hundred of your follow alliance mates to blast a path into the system for the big SuperCap to follow......forget it, ain't going to happen. What you get is looking at a frozen screen as you wait desperately for the grid to load, only to find out you died an hour ago and your clone is waiting for you.

Played for three years, fought all over EVE from Geminate to Delve to Great Wildlands to Vale to Tribute. Been in many a massive battle and not a single one worked as CCP advertise. Should sue for false advertisement, but the Icelandic coin ain't worth much at present.

They SAY they have committed to fixing the problem. If they do I'll be back so fast the passage will blow out several stars, but DON'T PLAY THIS GAME TILL THEY FIX IT!!

Looking for a guild that games together, has VENT or TS, and is organized.

I'd be happier if Codemasters could at least get the name of the game right....sigh. Just "Jumpgate" makes me think of the old version. They should be going with "Jumpgate Evolution" if they don't want people to think they are going to market an old game already out.

Well it would be nice if there were sandbox type games, especially a fantasy one.  ONLY one I know of is EVE Online, a sci fi themed MMO.

And I hate having to grind to get skilled.

Still playing. And I like PvE. Nice to be in a game you don't have to be worry about being gank by assholes. Ya i mean you ya loser!!

FFS....take a chill pill. It is just the usual burps wherever they patch. Database is probably having a fit and spitting up it's milk.

There is NO endgame. And you will NEVER reach the point where you have every skill to max.  According to Darwin's Theories, you won't last that long.

Me man! Me like'em! Me know they silicone! Me no care! Me know fantasy not real! Me like anyhow!! Me act growup RL....game me kid again!

I'd love to try this game out. But i can't even get them to send me a regristration validation so i can. Seem if you want to try Free2Play you're out of luck. Looking at their forum, their customer support is non-existent. Game looks great, wish i could try it.

Well so far...downloading was complete hassle and unsuccessful till i tried the bit torrent (which i had to download). That worked.....of course stil can't play because they have not sent the email verification, thou i've asked for them to resend it.

Looks great! Review sounds great! Is it great?? Don't know, Can't say!

And have no intention of paying for it till i can try it out.

Of course i'm not about to give a particular as i don't wish to be banned by some gm with a grudge  and a god complex. If you see it you'll know it.  If you don't, count your blessing.
