You guys are way too defensive and thinking too much inside the box. Step outside the box a little, and see what I see.

My only fear is that MMO gamers today are very impatient. Most are willing to try it for a few weeks and if they are not impressed or "hooked", they will most likely never come back. It is imperative that his game is released as completed as much as possible. If this game suffers from annoying bugs, and server instability, it will die, and die fast. MMO's have way too much competition, a new one will be released next month, and the month after. Creating customers who just dont have the time to give it a second chance.

The question of what could be dreadful about this game popped up in this post, without getting too much into detail, the game at current is like playing an FPS with a ping of 800...

You can go into first person and it helps, but all and all its just tough. Mobs are designed to be half way smart and they will attempt to strafe you and not take dmg, well mixed with "lag" this becomes an issue when a solo lower level mob can do a doozy on you. I only say "lag" because in most games or betas lag can be an issue, but normally at one time or another you are lucky enough to see what it looks like w/o said "lag" so far not the issue here.

The game itself is well, a new rendition on a sandbox game, sadly at current its very much favoring the "alts" i want to say, or late comers to the game. Its very easy to get high weapon skill, but hard to get a weapon for that skill. Due to the weight of items and such and it being expensive/hard to find, ammo is a PITA and crafters will have there nitche.

I will stop at what i have said so far, as some folks won't like this much and it will be nit picked. I will say this tho, yes the game can improve, the "lag" might be taken care of... you can get over the graphic quality and the overall feel to the game... (low budget). But in a current state, out of the MANY MANY games i have beta tested this one has been the hardest to log in for me. Something about the current game just doesn't grab you, and the world feels like a big turn off.... hard to describe.

Before i get attacked personally i have beta tested just about every mmo in the past 5 years, and worked at SCEA as a QAA (Quality Assurance Annalysist) the game is just rough right now, i would say its actully less enjoyable then SWG was in its beta for those who know the reference. It's a game with potential, and i do wish the best for it and those who plan to stay with it.... But it has a long way to go before it should see the light of day, sadly i belive it won't get the time it needs.

Spector, although you might get flamed from the fanboys and not so mature players. I thank you for your well built and very fair analysis of Fallen Earth. i cannot argue about what you wrote and all I can say is that I really hope this game improves. I beleive it is a game with tons of potential. One upside is that the devs really seem to care about their work, and that is a marvelous sign. They are very receptive to input. The game itself has excellen capabilities of being an industry leading sandbox game, and I really feel that is the direction this game should take. Lag will improve with each patch.

I cant say that I am in the beta, but what I can tell you is that this game is really advanced for where its currently supposed to be. It seems to need a litttle more work on its performance, but the graphics and gameplay are very well done at this stage. Overall, the game is quite entertaining. Its heavily crafting involved, but not everyone has to craft, if you choose not to.. you can just purchase items in the AH. What I do hope is that this game does not turn into a gear grind game. If its going to stand on its own, its going to need substance outside of Wow. Like player owned cities, open world pvp, and a player ran economy... if done well, (doesnt have to be great) this game will grab a niche and will survive for a long time. as long as it stays around 500k subs, it will be succesful.

Harsh, but yeah.. I am really hoping Global Agenda is the game that I am hungry for.. I am so damn tired of Wow and Eve is a great game to play while playing another MMO.

This game looks really solid. I am looking forward to release.

I really think that the whole farming instances for loot thing is really getting old. The next mega MMO is going to incorporate instances with a very unique crafting system. A very good MMO has to have multiple avenues of entertainment and try to diversify many different components of MMO. Pve, Pvp, and a Player ran economy are all very important areas to cover. If an mmo decides it wants to just only focus on one, than players will get bored and move on to other games. If they cover all 3, when the player gets bored with pvp, they will try pve, or the economy game, then go back to pvp and likewise. Leaveing the player in the game with a new challenge, rather than them quitting for another.

MW2 has guilds, they also use a leveling system with additional weapons and items, multiple maps to pick from, Tons of people online and a steady increase of content through map.. and here is the best part...

NO MONTLY SUBS

As a seasoned gamer who started with SWG and then branched of to WoW and Eve around the same time, I really feel that Eve is an inferior game. What keeps eve up is the social aspect of corporations and the alliances. I have been playing eve for close to 4 years now without ever cancelling my account due to my skills leveling. The game's pvp system really suffers from slow and repetitive gameplay. I am in a 0.0 alliance, so most of my pvp is in somewhat large groups and half the times, I really do not know what the hell is going on. It is extremely slow and very boring. The one aspect of eve that can be really unique is the economy, but even the economy is broken, due the mega sizes of missions, and the drops obtained and salvaging, the economy in EVe is really 30% mission generated and 70% player.

if any mmo would like to stay competitive and grow in time, they have to balance both PVP and PVE, truth is, most gamers are loyal to whatever current game they are playing. Most of them will jump to the new game in hopes of something new, and better, but will return once their expectations are not meant. Another key aspect is leaving corporations or guilds of long time friends. It can be very difficult to not play with those personalities on vent or TS.
