My fault. Haha.

I couldn't get it to work, and someone had told me they took it out.

Damn being a newb.

There is no Esper Invigorate botting anymore.

The Esper botting feature is gone now.

Guild Wars is retail.

Basically, 20 dollars, and you get free play forever on one campaign.

There are 4 campaigns to choose from, totalling at about 90 dollars for them all.

Guild Wars has THE best PvP system out there, with a HUGE variety of skills to choose from.

You can choose from around 10 classes, and you can have a secondary class, which you are able to change at a later date.

The PvE is relatively easy, but also very involving. Basically, you fight out a story line, with a level cap of 20..but it doesn't stop there. Each campaign offers new classes.

You can also make PvP only characters, who automatically start at 20, but are only able to PvP, and not go into the PvE world.

The areas are instanced, though, meaning you get your own copy. This has it's ups and downs. No one is there to kill your spawns, but no one is there to talk to, either.

Your group members come in with you, but that's about as close as you'll get.

I'd say give it a shot.

Bah, they both don't seem to be my style.

I just wish Nexus and Dark Ages would be advertised and revive themselves and start RPing again.

I just got perma blocked form Nexus for reasons unbeknownst to myself, and am really pissed off.

Jade Dynasty.

As we speak, I am meditating and gaining experience. =)

I, personally, would not touch this game.  Usually, I am not one to judge games, on graphics, but I don't think that I would pay 10 dollars for this...

Opinions?

Unfortunately today people judge games based on graphics. Im glad you were straightforward with your first impression but I hope others can give you another side to the story. Those of us who grew up (11-12 years old) when these games were first coming out see them in a completely different light. For example, I may have quit this game 10 times or more over 10+ years yet it still ends up coming to mind.

The thing about this game is the sense of community. I've been playing lots of games but I cannot get that same sense of being part of a community because everyone seems to be off doing their own thing. Maybe it has to do with the fact that is difficult to hunt alone so you end up getting to know lots of different people (though HAVING to hunt with a group sucks sometimes, this would be an upside to it)

This is the kind of game where you can't walk around in a certain area without feeling weird if you don't say something to people you see. It is a "player run" game but don't get the wrong impression of this. Though players run community events/etc which is pretty neat, and even take part in events sponsored by Kru (or Nexon as it was), if you try to do something like start a new clan and actually get Kru to make you a guild hall that you can actually see IN GAME, it does take a lot of time and effort so don't think it's like Ultima Online where you just buy a house deed, place it on an empty spot and call it a day.

Maybe it's just because I grew up playing this game, but ever since playing it I've found it very hard to play other games (I mean I've gotten into games like Lineage 2, WoW, Aion, EVE online, ultima online, etc, etc) but in the end I get more of a "at home" feeling with Nexus though it has a lot of corruption I would like to see corrected.

It use to have a nicer feel of role-playing as well but slowly people are drifting away from that, and I miss it to be honest, gives the game a little extra "zest."

In the end, though, to everyone their own =)

I agree, I truly miss nexus.

My favorite character, Poetic's code got permanently blocked, and Kru won't seem to respond to my ticket.

I want nexon back. ='(

i would play this game if .......

it were 1987

my computer was from 1987

i made the game myself

all other games were outlawed

god came to me in a vision and told me to play

i was messed up on drugs and thought it was a real game

thats about all i could come up with

*facepalm*

You fucking idiot, the internet was not out in 1987, so of course you would play it.

I started on runescape classic, then runescape2, then dark ages, then nexus.

I have to say, it is my favorite game of all time.

This game has fun grinding, and you can, after 99, buy stats (might, etc.), which the level they go up increases after each san (il san, ee san, etc.)

And you have prerequisites for vitality and mana.

If it says 80/40 for enchanted, you get either 80,000 vitality or 40,000 mana..which isn't as hard as it may seem.

The game is definitely not judgeable by the graphics.

The community is great. You always run in to your old friends.

I agree. The GE trade limits and all that killed it.

They're trying to cater to younger kids, and ignoring us older, smarter, more economically inclined people who will probably actually subscribe, since we have money and paypal.

I facepalm myself everytime I try to go back, because they just keep getting dumber and dumber.

I personally think GW was a great model for WoW to leech off of.

Adrenaline/Rage, Skill Bars, extra bags, etc. etc.

I did, but I just got drawn back to NexusTK, which is much funner..then Kru blocked me permanently.

Ridiculous.

it's been that way for what..2-3 years now?

When in the hell is it going to actually come out? I think all the hype of the game has died, and they made a serious business mistake..

Similar as far as content of Dark Ages and Nexus, and the gameplay style of Nexus with skills of both.

Basically, Dark Ages graphics were an eyesore, and hunting was boring, but I enjoyed Nexus, but wished it had some of the Dark Ages content..so, in short..

Anyone know any games similar to either of these?

Maplestory, hands down.

It's got chibi characters, relatively innocent monsters until higher levels, plenty of partying to do, and can be a LOT of fun for younger kids.

It's pretty easy to get the hang of, too.

NexusTK

I saw it on G4 t.v.'s "Attack of the Show".

Anything Olivia Munn says I will swallow without hesitation.

What if they were able to incorporate an Oblivion/Morrowind type of world into an MMO?

How amazing would that be?

I think it would blow WoW out of the water..the only thing they lack compared to WoW is a class system and PvP..which can easily be arranged via the arena.

Which is something that would make the MMO great, because they would most likely create the things they're missing.

You may or may not like the game, but a game with an IMMENSE population..well, two, actually, are Runescape and Maplestory.
