If you got to have your favorite MMO remade with superior graphics, which would it be and why?
The Pub at MMORPG.COM « General Discussion 9/19/11 7:31:19 PM
Shadowbane, the dated graphics and bugs were what kept this great game down. |

Freaking Awesome Glad to hear that I am not the only one.
A steampunk/fantasy hybred would be wicked. But. . . Shadowrun FTW! |

What do you guys think was the biggest let down in mmorpg history?
The Pub at MMORPG.COM « General Discussion 5/14/09 5:26:20 PM
The cancelation of the UO sequels.
AoC, VG, WAR all came out with much hype, mostly community built. I was not suprised at all when I first logged on to these games, I had tried them and cut through the hype. All 3 are doing just fine now despite nay sayers. they have healthy populations to substain and grow a MMO. Some ppl like them, some don't. Some people even tried them before coming to conclusions, and even retried them later in release to see how they have grown. If you are still making judgments based on release from a game that is over 6 mo old, well I am sorry. Be thankful that your parents held out on judging your ugly ass till ya grew a lil bit. If you play a MMO on release then gripe, either you are a noob, or you can not learn from experiance. If I try a game at release ( i don't) and it is buggy, I know that it will be a different game in 3 months, 6 months, a year. All you that take snap shot of release and hold that as your judgement must have not played MMO's long, or just like being pig headed. I would recomend ya'll try these hyped games again, and maybe they have some thing you are looking for now. -G

Can I hear a Steam punk western MMO ala wild wild west?
=P that is Steam not Speam in the poll below, but I can not figure out how to edit the poll =P |

Petition to Close down Warhammer?
General Discussion « WAR (Warhammer Online) 4/14/09 1:24:43 PM
You realise this poll is useless at best, 3 of the 4 options are negative. If it was writen; do you feel that War should be shut down?: 1) Yes 2)No 3) Not sure, it would have been more meaninful. However that does not address; Do you currently play War, Have you played War, When did you play War? Adding these questions and we start to get qualitative answers. What we have now is a troll poll. Not unlike a Troll toll. You have to pay to get into this boys soul. |

Opening movie cinematic is misleading
General Discussion « WAR (Warhammer Online) 1/12/09 2:41:11 PM
There are not many off hand weapons in the game (that I have found) but they are in there, my witch hunter was rocking 2 swords at level 9. My off hand did not have a race req so it could be used by SW. just FYI |

General: Wheel of Time MMORPG Announced
News Discussion « General Discussion 11/12/08 5:19:19 PM
The majority of will users are not that powerful. . . and there are tons of classes that could match. . sword master, wardens, maidens of the spear. . . and it really matters what era it is set in. . I think balancing will be easier than you think . . not super easy mind you. But most Channelers can be overwhlemed by force, or herbs. . not everyone can start as Rand with his full powers =P |

No crap! Every one on here is opionated. I have played both WoW and War, and in no way would I go back to WoW. it is a solid game no doubt, but it is a bit . . well read else where for that. I will give you a vote for War. It had a solid release, the PVP/RVR is fun and engaging, it does not have the content/polish of a 4 year old game, but I have not run into any problems finding something to do in it, Open RvR, PQs, PVE, Scenarios, they are all fun. In fact I have not had this much fun since SB, and I have played most MMOs out there. But to each there own. WoW has content and Polish, it is also looking dated, and is the cookie cutter, if it was fun in an mmo it is in WoW but easier, and sometime less engaging. War is new, thus does not have the huge library of content (athough it does have a huge IP to pull from), is not the prettist like AoC, and in some regions you might have a hard time doing certian PQs (this is because the Population is busy killing each other) I love the fact that even though I am higher level I can still hop in and do something with my character in a short amount of time.
Still not sure, there are a host of trials out there, and War will have one up soon too I am sure. War is fun WoW is fun. I maybe alone , but I have had way more fun in War than WoW.
Oh last number I heard for WoW 11 mil Last number for War 750k |

Anyone noticing lower populations on their server?
General Discussion « WAR (Warhammer Online) 10/16/08 2:58:07 PM
I do believe that they raised that caps on the servers. I know they had a lower cap at release to not overload the servers. I read somewhere recently that they were going to be raising it soon. |

Do those of you who say you like this game REALLY like it, or are you hoping you will eventually?

General Discussion « Age of Conan 6/06/08 2:43:12 PM
And the flames begin. . hahah how prophetic.
What I find fun is the dynamic nature of combat, adult themes, the environments, and the story lines. The PVP is open which has good and bad elements, Being a Shadowbane vet open pvp does not bug me.
So what I dont get in all these flames: This game had a solid release. Don't thinks so? Are you forgetting about severs being down for days at release in other games, huge ques to play, missing lower level content, huge lag spikes . . etc. While not the release was not as clean as lotro it was much better than most games. They fleshed out the first 30-40 levels (60-80 hours of game play) and were going to go back in and flesh out the last 40. This is fairly standard. Often the first 3-4 patches in a game is adding funcionallity and late level content. Seems like funcom had to push this game out ahead of scheadul, and in doing so had to pick where they fleshed out, I think it was a wise choice to make the begining areas complete, and then focusing their development team on the later content. Instead of jumping in a fresh MMO and crying wolf wait next time buy it 3 month out and you will see a polished game. This is the MMO market if you have been involve with mmos at release you know this. I alway tell myself to wait but don't. . weirldly enough I dont blame the game. Sides I have alot less to gripe about (read nothing) in this game than WoW, EQ2, Vanguard, horizons, SB, Starwars at realease.
So take it in stride, stop complaining; "hey I got to the later levels in less than 2 weeks". . . . maybe sit back and read the stories these people have writen for you, enjoy the content you tend to skip pass and by the time the you get to the later levels, the development team will have caught up with you. . . they most likely only put in 40-60 hours a week into conan . . unlike some people. |

You really make yourself sound like a hallmark of acceptance and tolerance with this one.
"now dont get me wrong i am not partically fond of gay people nor do i promote bein gay is ok" Not even the abigous Seinfeild quote "Not that there is anything wrong with that" Really dude this attitude is part of the problem. Not that you have to condone a lifestyle, but really you might wanna go out meet some people, you might just find that Gay people are just like every body else. Thus undeserving of your general unfondness. But kudos for pointing out that it is not ok in a online game. |
