NO one paid for a client, it was a free torrent download or are you purposely glossing over that fact. Yes people paid to use the EU server UNTIL the NA server came up as Tacos originally stated.

Other games that run different clients do so because of translations and other limitations on them by foreign governments. For example you don't make games that sell in Germany that have Nazis in them, you don't have games where players can be Pandas and sell them in China (reason WoW doesn't have pandarans as player playable race)

Other companies make it quite clear AT LAUNCH that here is a different client required for each region, Av never did that and any sane thinking person would have taken what they had posted as NOT requiring a new client for a NA launch. Hell they even said that but I assume that you just want to troll and don't want to acknowledge the truth.

There are more then enough threads going back 6 months on this forum alone that show what was promised whether you want to believe it or not.

So just who is the NA publisher?

This is a scam, plain and simple. Tacos seems to forget that the wayback machine shows everything about this shoddy company back to 2001. You can spin anyway you want but the facts are still out there for anyone that cares to take the time to look.

As to the transfer of data between servers...newsflash for the morons out there.... the servers are hosted by the same company on the same infrastructure so transfer of data would be trivial and due to the sub 15K number of subs probably take very few minutes.

This makes Deceit-n-lie look like a poor attempt at scamming customers. This has to be the piece-de-resistance to date.

BTW there are NO legal reasons why they can't allow transfers between markets. NONE, NADA, ZIP. If you can provide me with a citation from a case where it was decided that you can't sell between markets / transfer data between markets then I will retract my statement, but I don't expect any of you to provide that citation.

Anyone that works for a multi-national corp knows that data and products cross market lines all the time. The only real restrictions are defense and intelligence related.

Maybe you should step back and look at who the true haters are. It is not the critics of AV and their "professional" way of doing business.

As to the OP, how do you define "overreact"? If it is pointing out the poor interactions between the lying Tacos and the customers then no. If it is the people that wanted this game to succeed pointing out all the failings and shortcomings then no.

If it is the sycophantic slavering failbots groveling at Taco's feet and how they (the true haters) respond to criticism then yes I would say they overreact.

To play on the NA server AV has to give the NA pubisher money for publishing the game. That fee is normally $15 (box cost + rights/lisences cost + profit cost). Transfers probably will be $10. Anyone that thinks it will be $50 is an idiot

Why would transfers be any less then SoE or Blizz charge? I mean Av seems to think they are in the same league so I would say the standard $25 per character transfer fee will apply. Of course what you transfer with is anyone's guess at this time. That is if the game is even still alive by then after this debacle.

You lost me. Are you saying you think they will shut down the EU server and transfer everyone to the NA server? That is sort of what you imply when you talk about other EU servers shutting down.

Words have meaning and the meaning to me is quite clear. Hell I don't even have to use dictionary.com to figure out what was stated by AV. "One character per account" can only mean one thing to anyone that has half a functioning brain cell.

Which of course leaves out a couple or three of our better known posters :)

No i defend the game becuase i love it i am not paid by aventurine or have any position but i started playing some weeks after launch and i am a satisfied customer since.  No problems with account, the gameplay is exciting particullary i hadn't any more fun  in PvP in ANY mmorpg until now with DarkFall also i hadnt any more fun in any MMORPG until now with a GROUP of people.

Interesting fact is that you single few persons out (in fact 2)  including me that bothers you.

On the other hand you dont question opinions from people who NOT play but

state opinions as facts,  taking excessive negative perspectives without knowledge, bully people who admitelly like the game.

(take these thread for example  and how haters started to bully fans of the game by  recurring to personal attacks)

I first joined the forum membership back when Razorwax owned the game. Back when we had level headed people that saw a future for what Razorwax was planning. Not a bunch of screaming kids that act emo everytime someone says anything against their wittle itty bitty game that is probably their first mmo they have ever played.
