MIRAI - SEA/ANZ/Oceanic FC/LS starting on NEW SERVER (fresh start)
Guild Recruitment « Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn 5/16/13 8:24:48 PM
Name: Mirai (?? - future)
Server: Starting on new server on beta 4. Hours: GMT+8-GMT+11, give or take. We are Mirai, we are the future! Please join the temporary facebook group (site under construction): https://www.facebook.com/groups/ffxivMirai Our site (under construction): http://mirai.guildwork.com The main goal is to give those of us in this corner of the world a friendly free company to play together. If you love anime, that's a big plus (hence the name). While everyone who plays in this time is more than welcome to join, given the timezone, it's more inclined towards Singapore/Malaysia/Australia/New Zealand/Japan/Indonesia based players. On a personal note, I hop between Singapore, Malaysia and Australia (for studies). When I'm not gaming, I watch and fansub anime. Free Company Direction
This will be a semi dedicated endgame focused free company. Nothing will be mandatory, though the aim is to clear endgame content and also engage in PvP. We are trying to be a larger group, currently have about 20 members, and targeting 40-50 by release. There will also be a focus on housing and crafting, as this guild aims to have something for everyone. Basically, those of us from this corner of the world just need a place to hang out and drink kopi. There should be plenty of stuff going on for hardcore players to do, and casuals can drop in and out as they please. There will be semi-fixed raid schedules, but participation is voluntary though you might want to let me/an officer know in advance to secure your spot in the party. Officer positions will be offered based on contribution, not just activity. Therefore, while as with most guilds leadership will be primarily hardcore, casual players should be represented too, especially in the areas of crafting and housing. This will be an open guild, which means recruitment will not be closed unless the guild is full due to game restrictions.
Short Term Goals
-Recruit enough players to maintain a lively atmosphere and clear content together. -Have fun leveling together towards level cap.
Long Term Goals
-Continue recruitment and leveling to have sufficient players to clear endgame content. -Get and develop free company housing. -Work on crafting, leveling disc of hand/land
Requirements
-English will be the main language used in guild chat. Other languages are fine, but you need to understand basic conversational English. -Be friendly and civil. Stopping short of enforcing a swearing ban, but don't swear at each other. -This is a semi dedicated guild. However, as a student myself, I understand there are times when one needs to take breaks from the game, thus there are no official activity requirements, but if you do need to go away for too long, let us know.
If you have any questions feel free to contact me or post them here. If you need to talk in private, email me at LeafyVegetable@gmail.com or https://www.facebook.com/LeafyVegetable Our site (under construction): http://mirai.guildwork.com/ Thanks for your interest! |

Diablo 3 Says No Offline For You? And A Real Money Auction House? My Thoughts, Whats yours?
General Gaming « General Discussion 8/02/11 6:01:54 AM
I'm so glad there's no offline play. Still, wish we had more than 5 players per game. 16+ at least. |

Eve looks great, really great on paper and trailers. What you CAN do is limitless. However actual gameplay is somewat lacking and very repetitive. |

General: 2010 Awards: Best F2P MMO
News & Features Discussion « General Discussion 1/13/11 8:31:39 PM
DOn't let anyone tell you otherwise, LOTRO is a great game, though not for me. It is great if you are not interested in PvP. PvE wise, it is a great game even if combat works like WoW. The only problem is it does not live up to the epicness of the LOTR series. For the trilogy that inspired all other fantassy MMOs, I was dissapoint with LOTRO. |

General: 2010 Awards: Most Innovative
News & Features Discussion « General Discussion 1/06/11 9:34:55 AM
I played eve on and off for a LOOONG time. The biggest turn down is that while it all looks great on paper, I found actual gameplay lacking. 90% of the time is just spent between roid belts grinding endlessly. PvP may be action packed, but the PvE needed to support it is just a bore. |

To all those who hate WoW, what do you play?
The Pub at MMORPG.COM « General Discussion 12/20/10 5:24:20 PM
I think many, if not most of the haters play sandbox RPGs. WoW is fantassy themepark par excellence, it will be hard to beat that. The rest is probably either not interested in fantassy (historic/sci-fi players) or just don't like the graphics and want something more realistic (AoC anyone?). As for me, it has been several years since I last played WoW, and I have to admit I originally found it boring with nothing much to do. That was before the dungeon finder, and there was nothing to do besides quest and grind to 60. Needless to say I never made it past 40. I returned about a month ago, and shot to 80 within 2 weeks spamming the dungeon finder. Like the above poster, I find almost everything had changed. |

Can someone think of a perfectly balanced PVP MMO?
General Gaming « General Discussion 12/18/10 9:47:35 PM
Oh how very clever of you. Therefore now I suggest taking WoW's mage, giving it as much HP as a paladin, and making arcane explosion deal 100 million damage in a 1000 yard AOE. Fact is that when it does not require skill to pwn anyone else, it needs a nerf. Which is a lot different from 'learning to play your class' like you said. |

Don't see how Failure Failtasy even deserves a mention. |

Heh this is going to turn into a flamewar in approximally 10 seconds...
Anyway, I'd say NVIDIA if you want 3d, with gear more affordable these days. Otherwise, ATI seems to be the cheaper and more powerful option... per dollar to ounce of strength that is. |

General: Death Penalties Suck
News & Features Discussion « General Discussion 11/06/10 2:44:19 AM
depends on what game and what kind of penalty. Eve's death penalty is a little harsh, no insurance for stuff and is the leading cause of ragequit. However it suits a game like that, risk vs reward. I say it suits eve because you don't leave secure space, heck I dont leave empire with what I can't afford to lose. For games like WoW, where you go around with your BEST stuff, losing all of it would be devastating. And death is pretty common. So a few minutes res sickness, having to run back to corpse and a few gold repairs is fine. Lets face it without ANY form of death penalty, people will just die whenever, whereever they please. |

World of Warcraft: Seven Reasons Cataclysm Could Suck
News & Features Discussion « General Discussion 10/21/10 9:45:32 AM
I would recruit a kid into my group anyday. THey are more dedicated (usually), have more time on their hands, and are more likely to pwn. Now my main problem with WoW is FINDING the next quest and being where I'm supposed to be. I'm hoping cataclysm fixes that. |

World of Warcraft: Seven Reasons Cataclysm Could Suck
News & Features Discussion « General Discussion 10/21/10 9:39:16 AM
well the main problem with WoW is that people cannot find quest hubs, link to the next quest and so on. I seem to be having a particularly hard time without the proper walkthroughs. What I want is a linear straight path to 80 so I dont end up missing a quest hub and screwing up my quest journal like last time where I had to go back a few levels to do quests so i can do higher level quests. That's the thing that makes me most excited about cataclysm. The urge of going back to WoW is stronger than ever now, as my getting lost problem is supposedly going to be solved. |

What would you suggest out of these MMO's? EQ2,AOC,Darkfall
The Pub at MMORPG.COM « General Discussion 10/13/10 7:49:16 PM
I dunno wads up with the darkfall fanbois. Last I was there checkin things out they were literally doing the job of pushy car salesmen, doing the job of the PR. |

I say FFXIV is gona flop worse than WoW. Don't ya worry, cataclysm will make everything all right. |

Jumpgate Evolution: October Development Update
News & Features Discussion « General Discussion 10/07/10 8:49:42 AM
Well there is always black prophecy, but those guys were behind the horrible horrible failure oh could have been so much better if they had a tiny dot of support NEOCRON 2!!! |
|
|
Silverlode interactive from Saga, now making some ships game. Behind their wall of fanbois. Great game colectable card game mmorts and all, run to the ground with crap support, even crapper liar PRs and lack of any endgame content. People join and leave one month later. Doesn't matter to them none, so long as people continue to buy 'booster packs'. Oh until they stopped and just bought cards (units) off each other. www.playsaga.com just check the forums |

Official mails will always mention your name, the name that you used to sign up. Fakes will always use an impersonal manner. |
