There are a few things that kill it for me.

For one thing and the biggest for me is the community, I absolutely DESPISE this games community.
It's that of Runescapes in way...
One thing I hate about mmos is the ability for high level players to go back and kill monsters in a low level area..Well that would be fine if you didn't depend on those mobs to get past the first quest. I had similar experiences in WoW ofcourse but..
I mean that's kinda rude for a high level summoner to just go and kill low level things with the players trying to do the quest in plain sight..But this is an mmo and jerks are going to appear but still.. It's also hard to find anyone to even speak to you much less help you, But that's MY experience, Maybe my fault for picking Rogwel.

I really like the environments but I the walking feels stiff and the camera is a bit of an annoyance.
The combat is nice but I've found it hard to click on certain mobs that were right in front of me.

Overall I give it a 6/10 What really kills this game for me is the community.

I just want to also add that when I close and mmo for the night I want to leave the mmo with a happy feeling not a depressed angered feeling. :/

the more I hear of this mess the more happier I am I moved to guild wars.

Fortunately, I never gave a damn about the IP. The way they blew the whole PvP/RvR concept greatly disappoints me, though.

As for Aion? Meh. You can't PvP right from the start, and you can't level up from PvP, so to hell with it. It's going to be a sub-WoW PvE + sub Warhammer PvP game.

Not to mention Game Guard.

I'm passing.

There's better things to do besides level up from killing players VIA PVP.

I am an ex-WoW player and Retirie of LOTRO.
I want to know how this game is.

Is it worth the monthly fee?

If I like WoW and such will I enjoy this?

Does it require a powerful PC? I consider my PC semi-Powerful though I'm thinking of upgrading it.

Hows the community and economy? Are players helpful,Ect?

nah man best MMO is hello kitty online

I downloaded the trial and soon realized that the combat system is extremely bad, but the biggest turnoff for me was the inability to jump.  Jumping the best part in any game, If I can't jump, I won't play.
So I actually think this game is over-rated.

If you necessarily need to jump then use the emote /jump, then you got your (pointless) jumping. And how is the combat system extremely bad?

Because every good mmo needs the option to jump around like your a kid with add on a sugar high!

/Sarcasm

You forgot to mention that if you're short of anything but ass-kissing the game on their forums, You're gong to get banned.

The admins will not tolerate complaints of this F2P Mess.

Yes, The game is grindy, Infact I've seen people grind on mobs and level faster then people questing.  This is especially true after level 15+.

The community isn't that great either.

Yea I figured it might but I honestly come to these forums to get a indication on how the game is ect.  I think for the people who want an actual review they will pull from it what they need.  I also noticed on the LOTRO forums it doesn't seem like a flame fest (from what i've seen) which is a positive and there is a heavy RP population as well if that floats anyone's boat.

Yes, LOTRO's community is very friendly and helpful, it's rare to find a jerk while they are there like any MMO you will hardly run into one.

I give about 3 hours before this thread is ruined by the usual lore-nazi/wow-lover haters we all know :)

Nice review btw, don't let your immersion be touched by any negative asshats :D

Cheer up,

DB

I was thinking the same thing.

5/10
If you don't mind an unfair and unbalanced cashshop.
And a community that makes you close the chatbox everytime you log in.
This game is alright.

gee thanks.  Now I'm gonna have to go kill a kitten to feel normal again.

No, Just No.

I havn't tried it but the screenshots remind me of Ethersaga.

Irony to fact that it's from the SAME people who made PW AND Ethersaga.

I might give it a try though. Wouldn't hurt.

I won't go into review/rant mode but, This game is awful.
Pitiful attempt to drag people in with free crap.
And yes I've played for two months.

Two months I regret.

Your experiance was a bit worse then my own.
I didn't get spammed with gold selling sites but I did have plenty of community trouble.

Mostly kill stealing little kids.

i was a newbie and went with Rune Keeper and enjoyed it a lot and never really had any problems. In fact its kinda fun and interesting with the rune meter thingy to keep track of it.

This is the truth.
Rune Keeper class is fun and easy to get the hang of.
