I am currently playing the game, and it is OK. Plays alot like Wizard 101 (or uses the Kid-Tested, Parents-Approved Game Model). It is not finished, they have yet to implement the Card-game and other toons for release (Logan Wolverine anyone?). The game isn't that bad. Great for kids.

To answer your question, NO. There can only be one type of character in a group,. So they won't allow 4 Iron Mans or 4 Hulks.

A world which has (or aproximates) our own day/night cycle feels a lot more immersive to me. A one-hour day is ridiculous. 12 or 18 hours would be tolerable.

if you want a 24h day, go play Animal Crossing, 1 hour does seem a bit short, maybe like 6 hours in real time = one day, but who cares, give me Beta

This game was terible, I loved Atlus console games, and was hoping that they would translate, what they did to this game. Like the LA Vlippers last 12 draft picks, I was WRONG. I played the game for about an hour, and I seen enuff. It is like they stuffed about 12k people into a sock and said, here try to get out,. Everywhere was overcamped, it took like 15 mins to complete a quest because there were like 50 people doing the same thing. The UI sucked, graphics, sucked. Sound sucked. I see no redeemeable qualites to even D/L this game, you can find better, even by accident.

Right on, playing both FFXI and WoW for 3 years a piece, FFXI takes skill. PERIOD. Ya WoW u need skill, but u have alot of mods that will help u out, FFXI, had windower, PC only,  which at the time I played would get u banned, if not prema banned. FFXIV got me going CRAZY.

Since when was HARDCORE only associated with jinormous time sinks? People in FF11 consider themselfs to be awsome and harcore because they have a lvl 75. My little brother who is 8 and has been playing since he was 6 has done everything in the game and has reached lvl 75. How? because hes 8 and has nothing else to do.

The end game content of this game is a joke. Zerg fest hit spells at a rate so slow even the most mentally challenged of our society can manage and yet people still consider this game challenging and requiring 1337 skill sets. The quests don't tell you where to go that is true. However, even my brother can read a player guide online. As im sure much of  the FF11 player base has done.

PLZ i am begging the FF11 fainbois to stop making comparisons of FF11 to wow. Or at the very least stop saying wow has no hardcore aspect to it. I am sure 90% if not more of the people making these claims don't have a 5v5 team over the 2k rating. Or have full cleared everything in the game.

And yes i played this game for a few months a while back. However, i could never get myself into enjoying masochism or the monotony of spending a massive amount of time to put a group together just to go spend the rest of my day in the same spot killing the same mob one at a time.

For this game to be so large  (6GB), i found it FULL of SUCK. sorry i can't get into it, maybe a 12 year old from Asis would like this game,  Plus there is no unistall utillity. The OP has to be on the DEV Staff, or he was playing another game, cuz this game ain't that great IMO.

immature kids and adults kids, WoW is ok, to do, to keep from going back to FFXI. I played it off and on for 2.5 years aswell and it is fun for a 2 week period then gets boring. I have 3 lvl 80 toons, geared, and just get tired of gear chasing, T8, If you want to raid, i suggest u start at lvl 60 and work your way up. If you wait to lvl 80, alot of people will not want to hold your hand and walk u thru everything, by lvl 80 YOU SHOULD KNOW how to do you job.

I would like to see some instanced dungeons, that would stop Bot campers. If anyting they can take the 10,20 etc. man, raid type instances. 18 man alliance just aint it anymore

Being I am a FF vet, and a lil biased, I have ALWAYS regarded FFXI for the Hardcore only. Being I played when it launched the NA version, back in the day when PLD did not get Raise I till lvl 75 and we had War/Mnk cuz nin was not relased yet, lol. There are already way too many WoW cookie cutters, but it all depends if SE wants to attract more people and get a bigger client base,,then they might go the WoW route.  I hope they do not, I love the way FFXI  is set apart from other MMOs, there isn't anyone like it,

hmmm this FFXIV being seemless ala WoW would be interesting to see,  but having zones saved my bacon plenty of times in FFXI till they changed the Mob AI,  (use to be they chased to the death or till you zoned, but the poor people along the way usally need raises, lol).

OP have you played FFXI? I doubt if SE goes that route, but some sort of PvP would be nice, but that is not really SE's MO, we shall see.
