Thank you for the input... this game looked interesting and almost enough to hold me till TOR when I tested it if not for that glaring error. |

So a AMD Radeon HD 3800 should work fine? |

When I was betaing Rift, I had a major problem with my video card, the game would be playing then it would go black come back, a min later go black again come back, 30 sec later go black come back repeat until the game just crashed on me completely. My computer kept saying my video card had failed. Now that was my issue, I ask if this is continuing... I really dont want to waste my money if this game is gonna continue to fail like it did in beta. |

I really am opposite to everyone here... I didnt like DAoC at all, and believe that WAR is actually one of the better games out there, sure it has some issues but I believe it is truly a solid game and I enjoyed playing it. (to anyone who accuses me of joking... I assure you I am not joking or lying) |

Star Wars: The Old Republic: Space Combat Video

I honestly dont see what the problem is. They are simply taking sections of games which were fun in their own right and combining them into their own product. I believe that this addition will make TOR better then the sum of its parts and add to the immersion value, who cares if there is no exploration, it simply means that Bioware will simply have to put out all the polish it can on te screens it does show us, keep in mind that Bioware is only showing us the beta footage, I am willing to believe what they have shown us lacks the polish the space combat in the actual game will have. I will stay this if TORs minigame of Space Combat is half as fun as Rebel Assault 2 then Bioware will have succeeded in bringing flavor to its game and making TOR a true legend in the MMO circuit. |

Well this might be interesting, I just hope BW decides that, given their loyalty to story in all their other games, they bring back an RP server... the lack of one is the only thing keeping me from dropping WoW like a bag of rat droppings and going back to WAR. |

I too suffered a loss similar to this. When WAR was coming out, me and a buddy of mine named Brutus were working hard to build an RP Order alliance to bring into the game. We worked hard and was initially successful, Brutus was a phenomenal planner and a great friend, we would talk for hours about what we wanted our alliance to do... then not a month into the game, Brutus was riding his motorcycle and was struck by a truck, I was told he died at the scene. As an alliance we all journeyed to the T3 Dwarf Warcamp and held a funeral service, some spoke and we all mourned the loss of our dear friend, unfortunately, that proved to be the last action of our alliance as we all eventually split and went our seperate ways as guilds. |

I say sue curse for every dime they can. |

Star Wars: The Old Republic: Finding Balance in the Force
News Discussion « General Discussion 3/05/10 6:56:14 PM
Originally posted by nekollx i'm sure it is already in place, in the sith Warrior video they did we saw (and they comented on) light and dark force points for dialoige choices. It has already been established that when TOR is launched, their will be no changing factions (IE a Jedi Knight will not be able to join the Sith) It might happen later but come launch it will not be possible. That is not saying you cannot be a Jedi and go to the dark side, but you will still serve the Republic. |

You obviously have not been playing long enough. There is a reason why the game went from close to 1 mil users to possibly under 100k. Server merges have been constant. The game client still can't handle large RvR battles. The endgame, like the city sieges, are lame & boring. Class balance, and most important, faction balance is not there. Warhammer has a lot of good ideas & concepts, most of which WoW copied btw. But the game overall fails. Too bad, I enjoyed T1-T3 a lot, T4 not as much, had fun for a few months but eventually the problems outweighs the good features. Mythic only has themselves to blame, for their incompetence, idiocy & delusions.
I have been in this game since the beginning (guild beta) and the system has been getting better: I have no unstable play times, the client is great, the endgame is going to become easier to access and with the last patch even more violent. With all these improvements and observations I believe WAR is going to get even better in a short period of time. |

Don't know where you get your facts, but it sure as hell takes skill... I remember many battles which involved stretching out the destro with false attacks and then taking their keep when it was weakend, and even the battles WB on WB are hard fought and very evenly matched, its very fun and rewarding |

I love WAR, the general feel of the game, the epic battles, the memorable sieges and the great friends I have made on it. In my opinion the positive far outweighs the negative aspect (some bugs), I absolutely adore this game and will continue playing my swordmaster and witch hunter forever. I miss those who left but those that remain are some of the best I have seen, GO PHEONIX THRONE ORDER AND DESTRO!! |

I have been playing WAR quite a bit recently... with all the whiners gone Pheonix Throne RvR has been smoother then a babies bottom. No lag, constant action this is how a game should be... good luck to all those who left but as for me, I will be staying to fight these wonderful battles. |

Your Favorite MMO of all time (OF ALL TIME!)
The Pub at MMORPG.COM « General Discussion 9/25/09 2:40:06 AM
I know I will get flamed for this quite heavily but I am going to say this anyway, I love Warhammer Online. Its my favorite MMO and I am of the firm belief that it will get even better with time. The graphics are smooth and the game play is fun, I love the IP and despite its faults this game has single handedly brought me a lot of fun and satisfaction. |
