Its a beta.  Cant they ban you any reason or no reason at all?  Maybe they were testing to see if thier ban code was working correctly lol.

It's people like you that these publishers love.  You think this stuff is extra and it's ok to pay.  I hate to tell you but there was a time, laughably enough just 5 years ago or so when games shipped content complete.  You didn't have to pay extra for crap that was developed alongside the game and purposely left out so they could nickle and dime you after the game is released.

This whole DLC/cash shop model that currently exists benefits NO ONE except pubs and developers as it allows them to take this that were done during normal development and then charge you extra earning extra revenue for their game without actually having to release a new game.  It's a completely bull business model and stupidly enough players are falling for it.  If you look at the actual price of DLC and what you get for it the entire gaming community should be outraged, but they have been slowly acclimatizing you to the trend and now it seems OK to alot of people and frankly it's not.  People like you are setting the trend for this to get worse and worse and pretty soon the amount you'll pay to play one game will be retardedly higher than it is now.

People need to speak and like another poster said make the people that buy this crap pariahs in the community and force the developers to act.

 I love this post.  There is really nothing else to be said.  Only more to reaffirm.  The idea is to prey on the need of some people to posses something that makes them unique and to flaunt something that others will want.  One of my favorite mmo's asheron's call has sizable content updates EVERY MONTH FOR THE LAST 10 YEARS!  How much extra beyond a mothly sub do they cost? NOTHING.

The more I read the more I am discouraged.  The more Im discouraged the more I try to find in order to make a plan on action.  It seems as if macroing is my only option in order to advance to a competitive lvl in the grind as the best of the best have already taken advantage of this.  2 Account would make this seemless and less reliant on another player for successful macroing.  I have no problem UCM even if it is against the rules.  If its done by the best then there are ways to do it without being caught.  It will allow me to appreciate more of what the game has to offer when I have the time to be at the keyboard.  Looks like starting light magic fllowed by archery then melee before starting an elemental is the way to go as far as combat.  Each passive skills appears to be easily macroed which is a plus for me.

Haha I think you guys are getting me all wrong, I used ac as an example.  I consider myself a fairly hardcore player these days.  Ac was a sandboxy game and so was old swg both of which are my favorite games.  Ive jumped on the wow bandwagon before and jumped off when I topped out raids (3 months later...).  I tried the Aion beta and it seems like wow meets lineage 2 and incredibly linear.  I was very excieted about darkfall but I heard bad things however recently looks like things are looking up.  I may give it a try.  Thanks for the posts guys keep it coming.

I played asherons call starting in 2001.  What I found was that, although the mmorpg space was fairly young and many people didnt play hardcore, it was still almost impossible for me to become competitive because at there time there exsisted no forseeable skill cap.  Does a new player in darkfall stand a chance in competitive pvp coming in with zero friends?

Im just curious when ppl start playing a new mmorpg.  The last game I started at launch was swg.  Since then it has been at least a few months if not a year after it has been released.  This is mostly due to the fact that no new mmo comes out that I want to play  at a time where I want to play a different one

Well if they are working on the routing for me then hopefully it will be better at a later date considering this is open beta.  Now what about the issue of a 5 min long login sometimes.

Anyone getting CRAZY laggy rubber banding? its so bad its funny at times.  For thoes that dont know what rubber banding is, its when you lag and your character is snapped back to a position is was a couple sec ago.

The answer my friends to this debate is simple.  What ever your first mmorpg was builds your perception on what an mmo should be.  It explains why some believe that sandbox games are the only true mmorpgs. It explains why someone who started in guild wars or ddo will never understand why someone from Asherons call or swg must have certain things in an mmo for them to play it.  So often I see people complaining about or pleading for features in new mmos while other ridicule them.  This may be one reason why.

I am going to really pump this out once i get my account back.  For the quickest most efficient lvling solo is this the best to go with?

so with 3.1 here I hear there are a lot of changes.  Ret paladins get nerfed and buffed, dks get nerfed, warriors get nerfed and buffed.  Arms warriors are supposedly going to be the new warrior class with fury maybe returning to power ocne people get full tier 8 gear.  Dks are somehow nerfed although I dont know much about DKs, and paladins get a dmg nerf in ret burst but more sustained.  What is going to be the best lvling spec for each class now?

on another note ya lvling should be quick since im currently unemployed living with parents (sad life at 22).  It just sucks ill have to fork out the money for a tranfer to play with friends , money to reactivate, and money to buy wrath of lich king.

fuck it i might go for all three since dks start at lvl 55 right? the warrior is 63.  so get those up to 80 and if i dont like em start the pali.

lol but death knights look so cool, im prolly gonna end up playing one anyway lol.  i would have to start from scratch to raise a pally

so here are my options.  I have available a 60s warrior and a 60s rogue.  I will only play a plate user.  I am interested in warrior or death knight but I hear warrior is getting nerfed and that dknights are half of the population making it hard for them to group or join a guild.  I am interested in doing some minor raiding for gear to pvp with.  What do you guys think?
