They will do just that, and they're currently releasing new art once in a while. I guess things will be clearer once the official website launches. :) (I'm guessing: sooon) |

I think that saying there will be absolutely no grind is taking this a little bit too far... They will definitely reduce it greatly and present the player with many more ways of gaining experience, but it's not going to be non-existant. I find it exceptionally hard to believe it would become like Guild Wars in that sense. |

Hmm, would it be possible for the topic author to perhaps elaborate a little what he/she means by "sandbox"? |

The difference would be that earlier Korean games weren't designed for an international market, while Aion is. |

Check the AionWiki. They haven't made public any official specs yet, but something similar to that of the wiki article is estimated. |

No, although no such incredibly detailed information has been disclosed, I can say for sure that all classes will be able to have wings. It's an integral part of the gameplay and in such a context it really would make no sense for rangers to be the only ones with wings. |

We *should* be able to play right away... since they're aiming for a global release. However, I assume you mean that things rarely go as planned :) |

It's Chun* for the record ;) Not that it matters too much, since the names are subject to change (even the Korean) - They're not sure to be the same on release. |

Edit: This message was posted before I started to work as an Aion Community Coordinator, and was still running a fansite.
Believe me... it won't be free to play. Sorry, just don't want you to get disappointed at a later stage :) Dungeon Runners and Guild Wars were both off-shore productions, none made by the Korean development team making Aion (We're talking 100++ developers on this game) . Furthermore, both Guild Wars and Dungeon Runners are highly instanced which allows for a different server structure and adaption depending on amount of players. Basically, it's cheaper to maintain. SUN is also highly instanced and falls under the same category. I would say, the reason all of the fore-mentioned are free is that they do not provide lasting content that would excuse a monthly fee. They lean towards temporary satisfaction games more related to the FPS family. |

Just for the record... Aion is not really a successor of Lineage 2, as it offers a quite different playing style in comparison. I think the attracted audiences will differ quite a bit. There will be a Lineage 3, and that my friends, will be the successor. |

I am certain that the PvPvE that is coming with Aion is more than what we've seen before. Even if the concept isn't entirely new (not many concepts are these days) I strongly believe it will provide a vast improvement compared to any half hearted attempts that have been made before. |

The game is being developed by a proved development team (They brought us Lineage). However, I am sure they learnt a lot from the development of the Lineage games and are intent on bringing things closer to perfection. Aion has a whole lot of innovation going for itself. If we're lucky (I think we will be), we will soon face a true next-gen highly qualitative MMORPG. So just hang in there. It will definitely be worth your wait. I have yet to see a single game in development out there that can hold it's own against Aion :) |
