The ONLY one that comes in mind is DDO. I mean the rogues there are really necessary and do have role other than DPS.

Originally posted by Golelorn DDO is healthy and well aged IMO. Players looking for good D&D experience will not find their home in shallow game like Neverwinter. Casual players will find it fun tho. Don't judge for the game and community activity by the activity in mmorpg.com. LOTRO and DDO always had great and active community in their own forums. Most players see no point posting here. |

DDO actualy TAKES place in Forgotten Realms. On top of that after the new expansion later this year, the players will be able to start their toons directly in the FR zones. I think it will be something like the veteran status system.

Originally posted by wenababy wena, i love you! just watching your videos! i've played during CB, but the bad translations and the confusing armor/weapon stats was pain in the ass! i've noticed that some things are fixed, but it's just few minutes impresion, cus i went to work. hows the things now overall? i mean the localization part, cus that was the main problem (for me) during the CB. |

Playing it again for a few days now. I quit few times before, cus the bad combat and AI, but FE is one of the best hybrids on the market! And even when you look at the state of the most sandbox MMOs, FE is the best cure for the sandbox itching (except EVE and UO, of course).

i see, that many people didn't played PW's games before. i was in some of their betas, and they give tons of the CS currency to players to check and get hooked to their shop. take my advice! wait for the release...yeah, in all of their games you can buy anything from the CS items from AH, but it's so, so, so hard to get that ingame currency to buy the desired item, cus the CS items have huge values... also be sure, that the ratios of earning ADs will be droped down! |

Terrific game! Insanely good PVE
General Discussion « Lord of the Rings Online 1/20/13 9:20:08 AM
Always keep coming back in LOTRO and DDO. Great PVE, the models are not next-gen, but definitely not that bad as many people claims. Yes, the combat is little slow-paced, but overall it's great game! |

What do you think of this kind of business model?

I don't mind paying sub, but what i hate is the client/box price + paying for every expanison released. What if you get the client + expansions for free and just pay for monthly subscription? I don't think the devs will take much losses. I seriously think that client/box/xpack fees are huge barrier for most of the players.

I decided to try out LOTRO the other day but why must I download 16.9GB of data when the game is highly restricted to free players?

1. get a real net. 2. dumbest whining reason i've ever seen. 3. devs can't read minds to tell which content you have and wich not. |

[Preview] Wizardry Online: Touring the Beta
News & Features Discussion « General Discussion 11/27/12 9:48:20 AM
I'll say it again - the game is AWFUL! It's not hardcore to play ugly game with horrible controls, fighting system and poor level design. No sir!
