what did WoW do, that other EQ clones didnt do, which made WoW so Successful?

Easy, they made the game easy to find a group with, the raids easy: and gave players the option to solo to the levcel cap. If there were more games with that short of a grindx that AI could do solo and then join a raiding guild I would be all over them. As of now I am over wow though and have been since day 3 WOTLK. |

ouch this is discouraging to hear. I am really looking forward to this game, but if they can't even get it together for beta testing, it is definitely making mee more than a little bit nervous. I know it is still early, but someebody in the logistics department needs to be replaced imo. |

I definitely have to agree here. I think that it will be very telling in the near future. I love DDO and have since it began, Even though I have the money to cash shop it up in these f2p games I tend to not. I hate losing as much as the next guy, but I hate winning just because I bought an advantage with my wallet, and nobody ever finds out who is actually the better player. |

This is probably a first in this thread. My first MMO was everquest Online Adventures for the PS2. I even bought a 2nd PS2 so I could dual box lol. |

So how difficult is it to get into a raiding guild if you start fresh? I am interested in going back before the xpac, but see no point if I can't gear up. thanks |

Since I have stopped being a hardcore MMO player and just delve into the big boys now and then; I do not keep up with my old group of friends from a couple years ago. I also have been playing for about the past 15 years. I just really hate how little I get done in real life when I play hardcore. This leaves me going either the solo route or the PUG route unless I get in on the closed beta stage of an MMO which can hold my interest. (something ery difficult to do these days). So all in all I guess I am saying that I hate missing out on the real content by not grouping, but can't stand the pugs that I need to participate in to get me there. in the end I usually find myself ending up soloing for a few days before I quit all these free item shop MMOs. |

From all the games that I have played I would say Guildwars, or Granado espada. I haven't played SWG and have never used Ryzom's hunter / hunted AI.

I hope that all of the female character models aren't like the one shown here. The pants she has on look like my grandma's, and her legs and crotch are just as scary...

Warlock is an easy class to be decent at, as is warrior or BM hunter, but to make any class unbeatable you have to be damn good. |

The email was a bit vague to me. Was it sent to everyone that had signed up for the beta, or those people that they plan on including in the closed beta at some point before open beta begins? I hope it's the latter, but we will probably just "have to be patient" and see.

I for one think that this mmo is the best mmo out of asia to date, and it's still in beta. I wan't wait to see the graphics overhaul and the new attainable PCs. I don't see GE keeping my interest for over a year but if they do happen to launch before AoC, WAR, or Darkfall I could definately see myself playing this until those games do come out. A big factor for me will be how they implement pvp in this game.

From reading these boards pretty often I think that most people would tell you to look at shadowbane instead of rf online. I haven't played it yet myself but I am thinking about it trying it this week. Just need somthing to kill some time until AoC

not sure but it must have been between 55 and 60 hours when TBC came out for WoW. Would have been able to go longer but I didn't get the nap I was counting on on earlier that day. I know that people are going to call bullshit on this, but I don't really care. 1st healer to 70 on tortheldrin even though all the non draenei had 10 days headstart on me (and proud of it).

Insane! I was thinking about going back and checking it out again as well...I can't believe that my pc and ps2 accounts are now garbage. Thanks for the heads up though so that I didn't break my keyboard thinking it was a glitch. |

If you have that much to spend and can afford 500-600 for a vid card I might hold off another month or so till the next gen or directx 10 cards are made available. I am certainly going to wait even though I have to reformat my current gaming pc every 45-60 days.
