I would like a key, if thier still available? |

With the negative support for both these titles I think I'm gonna hold from playing either. Thanks for the comments guys and helping with saving me some money! |

So I've played both these game at or near release and I thought both of them were pretty good. I also left both of these games within a few days of joining because of the problems they had. So if I were to join one now what would be the best choice as far as stability, population and well just general fun be? From what I've read both of them have seem to come along way and I'm just looking for some different oppinions. |

Me too, Key please! |

So are there any NA servers or is there just one in Europe? I don't think i can play a pvp mmo with a high ping. This pretty much makes or breaks if I play or not. |

I'll support what the OP says. I too played during launch and left shortly after. A week ago i re-subbed and have been having a blast since. There is a whole lot of people in game that are in the same vote and there is always somebody around to group or team with. I've made it to level 30 and havn't felt like i'm grinding at all. I think having only 4 servers really helps populate the world resulting in a more lively and enjoyable experience. Way to push the comeback Funcom! |

Hi, I played this game origanally around launch on the EU server. like many others I was pissed and quit after a few days of play. However it was a combination of many things, all of wich are posted on these forums, that made me quit. The final straw that broke me that i just couldn't overlook was the clunky UI. The concept, art, and sandbox style are all great and if it runs like the forums are leading me to believe I think I'm willing to give it another go, but please tell me they did something to Improve that clunky interface? |

Top fails that are still around are Vanguard and Darkfall. Top fails that are no longer around are Auto Assault and Tabula Rasa. Vanguard takes the cake for worst launch and the rest just straight up Suck. BTW this is my opinion Fanbois. |

First off the world needs a new Futuristic AO style MMO. And I hope this game can make the cut. So... I see that this website estimates the release to be in the second quarter of this year? Or am I just a fool reading the status incorectly? |

LF a Review/ opinion from an old Shadowbane player.
General Discussion « Darkfall 5/16/09 6:01:43 PM
Ok thanks for the input so far guys. Just a few other questions though. I remember me and a couple buddies gathered enough coin to put our own Tree of life up in Shadowbane. We had 2 shops a bank and a couple houses. It was just enough to keep us repaired and more or less served as a staging point for some good farm spots and access to some nearby bigger citys that we would stealth into and assasinate rob and generally be a nuicance to. This to me equaled good times. BTW this was what we did when we wernt participating on our main toons with sieges mine fights and larger battles, the solo play if you will. I also remember hoping from city to city to buy gear for my many toons, not only was this dangerous and fun at the same time, but it made it so that you were out in the world becoming opponents for other people etc. So my questions are... is there oportunity for smaller groups to own property? weather its a simple shop or a house, and how does it work? do ya need it to be close to a bigger city or can ya build anywhere? Is ther a limit on the world to the amount of citys/ buildings ? How does trade work? I know everything is more or less crafted by players , but how do they sell there goods to others? And finally what other things are there to do besides kill be killed and say mine resources and make gear? I realize this question tells me all ready that there is a fair amount to do, but what else does DF bring to the table? Oh and to the guy that asked. I played Shadowbane on pretty much every server since launch played every toon and participated or belonged to many different Guilds including Death Head Legion. My main toon was always named Kosdeth and he mostly rolled as a nearly unkillable Huntress. |

I've been playing MMo's for many years and no game has ever held my attention like Shadowbane. I remember heading out into the world off noob island, in Shadowbane, and finding a nice secluded spot to farm and level up ,either solo or with a guildie or two, and more often than not somebody would come strolling along on there own agenda, and before ya know it somebody is dying and getting looted. This was the best most realistic game i can remember playing. If ya didn't watch your step or roll with a group you were usually poor and sucking. The addreniline never seemed to stop with this game. And i havnt even begun to talk about large scale battles, sieges or mine fights. This game brang everything to the table that i could ask for in a game. So is there anyone who was a fan like i was of old Shadowbane that can give me a perspective of how this game compares, and let me know if they feel the same thrills and adreniline rushes that Shadowbane used to give us. I'm so on the fence about this game ,and i really need an opinion from a hardcore Shadowbane game fan before i dump any time or cash into DF. |

I bought from D2D, the normal preorder version, and I downloaded the Beta clent. So my question is... When the preorder goes live on the 16th will the Beta client patch up to the retail version or do i have to download a whole new retail version? |

My latency is around 90- 130 ms on the Bluesteel server and i'm in Northern Alberta ,Canada. My FPS are an amazing 45-130 ,on avg about 70fps. All my settings are on max as well as my screen resolution. However I'm sporting a E8400 @ 3ghz x 2, 4 gb 1066 ram, and a amazing overclocked 9800gx2 ssc vid card. First off this game is great fun! The combat mechanics will make this the best PvP game ever, imo. Ive played pretty much every popular MMO that has released and 90% of them on the first day of launch . Aoc by far has had the best performance of all of them. I m interested in trying UO, but i only want to try the improved graphics version. I've searched the web and can only find The Kingdom reborn as an expansion. So my question is. Is there a complete download version out there with the Kingdom expansion included? or do i have to download everything seperately and try to figure what i need to get the game going. I have never played UO and i know theres like 8 expansions so whats the easiest way to get it all? |

Does this game have open PvP or a PvP server? And if it exist is it based on faction or free for all? Also if there is PvP are the classes balanced enough that people can play different classes and do well? |

First off i want to say that there needs to be more PvP focused MMO's out there, good ones at least. I need a PvP game that gives you a world that feels realistic in the sense that anything goes. I want to be able to go out adventuring, solo or with friends, and be fully aware that there can be the danger of another player waiting to stall my adventure to either rob me of my loot or to eliminate myself as competition for a common goal or to just straight up jack me for the thrill of a kill. I want to have to form player relationships in order to survive and to do well in a world of hostility. I want rewards for my kills, loot or status just something I also want a world where you can own things, property boats mounts etc. aswell Throw in quests and objectives that get you out in the world so that you can stumble across a potential victim and vice versa. I think what i really am wanting is a combiantion of games like EQ for its character creation and vast adventure. A game like Vanguard for its ability to create and own things. Shadowbane for its Unforgivable kill or be killed and give me your loot competition. Finished of with the polish WoW has and for its Simple play style. When this game i describe is created, and it will be, we will have the Game of all games and i will finally be fully satisfied with a MMO. |
