Need a decent PvP MMO to last me for 6+ months..
LFGame « General Discussion 6/06/10 1:04:30 PM
How about Loco or League of Legends, both great games, but not really "MMO", more lobby based. Surely is great fun and pure PvP.
Ive been playin LoL for more than 3 months now and I still enjoy it. You should give it a try. |

Hello, I played wow for about 3 years now and i am kind of bored with the end game. Im looking for fresh meat ;). Im looking for a MMORPG that has Solid PVP and very little grind. No grinding without quests. By grinding I mean killing monsters over and over again just for the purpose of levelling. I also prefer a cash shop over p2p but im open to both. Any help would be appreciated. |

First off, im a Star Wars fan and an RPG fan (loved all games by bioware so far and thought that Kotor was one of the best games ive played). I also enjoy MMOS like WoW. I believe the biggest arguement there is probably that if they really put that much story into this game (more than all bioware games combined) then its very hard to make everything good quality. I rather take a 50 hour experience that is near perfect than a 100 hour experience that is decent. On top of that, there are still the questions "how will they bind the great singleplayer experience to a great multiplayer experience?" "How will they balance the 2?" "How will they bind pvp situations to it?" (Like if they do not add open pvp there will be siths and a jedis happily talking to each other over tea. Like I dont want to see sith and jedi walking past each other on the big map not being able to attack each other. Thats just ruins the RPG aspect of the game). Another good argument is that while you are out playing your unique story, in a tense situation, a kiddy comes by and ruins the whole intensity with a "Yo Noob! Your Characta looks like Jar Jar binks without his morning coffee.". There will always be farmers around that also ruin the experience , people that just want to level or gank low levels. Im sure that most people that want a great single player experience out of this game dont want kiddies interrupting them when it gets exiting. Dont get me wrong, if they pull this game off it will certainly Punch WoW in the happy Sack (and i will be there, playing the hell out of it), yet if they dont, we have a game that could be so much more but just fell flat on the....happy sack because instead of quality, quantity won the day. |

Dungeons and Dragons Online beta first look

Great game so far, but what really killed the hype with this game is that you can only level until level 4 till you need a item (item cash shop or 5% droprate as quest item) to advance another 4 levels. That you need 4 times and each of them gets harder to find, so eventually you are forced to buy one of them anyways. I get that they want to make money but forcing players to pay cash this early in the game is stupid. They are already charging you for races/classes/pots/. If they set the bar at level 4, it might upset a lot of potentional costumers that begin this game.

I have been playing this game for about 5 months now, im ESL first place and am the leader of one of the best only sword clans. Im going to introduce you to this game since I know that this game doesnt show its sweet side until a few weeks into the game. I also know that when I search for a new game to play I will always have some questions. I will try to answer as many of them as possible.
First off, what makes this game great/different from other 3rd person shooters? S4 League is very unique due to it having a very different take on the capture the flag system. It takes the system and adds it to a sport game like soccer. The goal is to score a Touchdown and defend your own goal like in soccer. (Of course there is Deathmatch and other modes too). Another great feature is that besides shooting weapons, there are also sword weapons which all have their own advantages and disadvantages. In a Gun game all weapons are allowed, there is also a only sword mode which gets very intense later on.
One of the big disadvantages this game has is that it does not appeal to newcomes at first since at first your maps/cloths are very limited. Besides that it is very hard to hit the target if you do not get used to it. After a while when you know how all weapons work it will get much easier to kill and dodge attacks. This game may seem weird at first, but if you give it a shot, you might learn to love this game like me :).
This Game is worth a shot just because it is a very unique take on a 3rd person shooter.
If you are too lazy to read the whole thing, just read this to summerise: +Unique Touchdown system +Dribbling,Defending,Tanking, Striking or just taking people out is satisfying +A lot of outfits, weapons, maps +Most of the Cash shop items are buyable with ingame currency +Its based mostly on Skill +Many Jump Tricks +Unique Graphic style -Little Character Costomization at the start -A big chunk of the community are kiddies that dont like to lose -Lag can ruin a match -Levelling Takes Forever and is totally pointless(You do not get any bonuses but you do unlock new costumes)
If you do have any questions, do not hesitate to ask. Download the game at: http://s4.en.alaplaya.net/ if you need help check out the support forums on the website, most of the questions are already answered there.
